good morning everyone. it is wednesday, september 25th. we begin with a new report overnight detailing some of what dr. christine blasey ford plans to share when she's expected to testify in tomorrow's reopen supreme court conformation hearing. they report obtaining sworn declarations that she share would the senate judiciary committee to corroborate her claim that kavanaugh assaulted her when they were teenagers a claim that kavanaugh denies. ford told her about the alleged assault and contacted ford's attorney to tell them ford had conifieded in her five years ago. during our meal christine was visibly upset.

she told me she was having a hard day because she was thinking about an assault she experienced when she was much younger. she told me she had been trapped in a room with two drunken guys and escaped, ran away and hid. the report includeses details from a male friend that she says told him in 2016 and emails they exchanged 10 days before kavanaugh was nominated and the female neighbor who says ford discussed the alleged attack with her back in 2017. meanwhile, they'll vote on his nomination just hours after christine blasey ford will testify about the alleged assault that took place more than 30 years agoe. chairman chuck grassley said they may hold a vote on friday at 9:30 a.m. they're under pressure to move kavanaugh quickly through the final stages to the supreme

court. mcconnell has warned publicly and priebtly, that he plans to hold a vote no matter what happens in the judiciary committee and possibly as soon as next week. mcconnell says he is confident going into a vote. we're going to be moving forward. i'm confident i'm going to win. confident he will be confirmed in the very near future. meanwhile murkowski was asked if there should be a full fbi investigation. >> an investigation would certainly, certainly clear up some of the questions that there out there. but as i understand how the process works, it is not for the judiciary committee to make that ask. >> murkowski later walked back that statement saying her comments were perhaps somewhat

flip and she was not calling for the fbi to investigate but that committee is investigating. meanwhile bob corkerer said many senators will be watching tomorrow's hearing before iticiding their vote. >> i'd say there are actually a large number of republicans that will play a large number -- i know the media keeps characterizing three or four people but i think there's a large number of them that want to see first hand the accusation and the rebuttal. they announced late last night they've selected arizona prosecutor to question kavanaugh and christine blasey ford, who accused kavanaugh of sexual assault in the 1980s. and senator grassley writing the goal is to depliticize the process and get to the truth, instead of grand standing and giving senators an opportunity

to launch their presidential can campaign. he had earlier refused to identify the prosecutor over safety concerns. republicans are take in the unusual step in turning to mitchell, an experienced sex crimes prosecutor and registered republican to ask ford what could be potentially painful questions, prompting the republican senators from some uncomfortable exchanges. i should say sparing some of those senators from those exchanges. and the attorney had blasted the suggestion of a prosecutor. the committee's democratic senators, four of whom are women will question kavanaugh and ford themselves tomorrow at the hearing. and ramirez, the second woman to accuse kavanaugh is speaking out. in a series of tweets jerd john clune said deborah ramirez only

came forward after being contacted by ronan pharaoh and carefully working through her memories only to insure her accuracy. they have refused to meet all scheduled appointments. we've officially requested an fbi investigation and our client remains adamant that remains the appropriate venue for her to discuss her trauma. why won't the senate judiciary committee welcome that? he elaborated further while speaking to msnbc last night >> they won't talk to us. the majority party wouldn't speak to us. the demand that they keep making of us is give us every piece of information that you have now and then we can talk about scheduling a phone call and that's just not the kind of partisan game playing that our client deserves. that's not fair to her.

that. so i think there's a desire from democrats to hear this woman and it's pretty remarkable that according to her lawyer they would try to set up phone calls with republicans on that committee, they wouldn't show up for the phone calls or they would ask for all the evidence before such a simple phone call and so that's kind of catching eyeses on capitol hill. let's talk about the other woman who's been a focus. the outside counsel. rachel mitchell, whose identity was with held for a time yesterday before we found out who she was. talk about the dynamic and how the questioning is going to be shifted or impacted with her there, given the 11 men on the republican side, on the democrats we have four women. talk about -- excuse me the dynamic expected for thursday? >> that's going to be the first introduction to both rachel and

dr. ford for many americans. think they're strike a balance to see if there are any holes in dr. ford's story but the optics of having this random prosecutor ask all these questions when this is really the senate judiciary committee's job and -- so that is kind of interesting the fact that they have to get someone outside who's never worked in the sent before to ask simple questions to dr. ford. >> and we'll be watching her, of course, blasey ford and see how he'll hold up. we're going to talk to you again in a bit. last year at the u.n. general assembly, president trump notably calling kim jong-un little rocketman. this year he made headlines for much different reason.

welcome back. let's turn to business. tr the federal reserve is widely expected to raise interest rates. it would be the third rate hike this year. how would a rate hike impact the markets? especially for a third time this year? >> absolutely. that is the question but to be honest it's 95% -- they're expected to move up to two to 225 range. this would be the third this year. they're anticipating another one undecember and another two in 2019 as well. to be honest they had been very explicit. they had been telling how quickly they're expected to go and what we've seen is the stock market move from strength to
