which was penalized in 2015 for helping to launder over $10 billion of orussian money. they raided headquarters on suspicion of illegal transactions. and deutsche bank was one of the few lenders willing to do business with donald trump in recent years. and now according to nbc news new york state investigators have subpoenaed records including mortgages, lines of credit and other financing transactions. specifically they're scruttenizing three marquee projects dez projects developed by the trump organization, as well as his falled attempt to purchase the buffalo bills football team. it's another aresult of michael cohen's testimony later this month. he disclosed financial statements to back up his

allegations that the president purposely inflated value to financial institutions including deutsche bank. >> did the president or his company ever inflate assets or aev new? >> yes. >> and was that done with the president's knowledge or direction? >> everything was done with knowledge and at the direction of mr. trump. >> and to your knowledge did the president ever provide inflated assets to a bank in order to help him obtain a loan? >> these documents and others were provided to deutsche bank on one occasion where i was with them in our attempt to obtain money so we can put a bid on the buffalo bills. >> the president attacks sawing new york state and its governor, andrew cuomo are now proud member of the group of presidential harassers.

money? >> it was a time where trump was at his financial weakest point. deutsche bank was willing to go on riskier-type loans, riskier business. that's what made the match work out between them and you've mentioned mocki mention making leading statements to a bank. it's part of the reason why they're going to jail is giving misleading information to banks. >> the financial statements cohen gave to congress show a big jump in networth just over two years. in 2011 trump claimed to have upwards of $4 billion. that's what he own os. and magically that number doubled to 8 and$8 and a half billion. and according to the very documents because trump -- the number changed for this reason.

the asset value went up estimating his so-called value to be magically $4 billion. it sits there right on the piece of popper like oh, yeah, one other thing i got to add, $4 billion because he says so. >> good will. it's something you assign as the value for your brand and you're right. he cheats people. there are people who built the construction of the trump tower chicago that didn't get paid and when they said they're going to sue, his lawyer said we with held just enough but it's not worth you suing. that's how he does business and america needs know that. >> impeachment is not on the table unless it reach as bipartisan consensus. 88% support for the president.

but what about needing the republicans to support -- if you believe the president has obstructed justice in the firing of comey, in the firing of -- whose t who's the other guy? sessions of course and mccabe and all these people. it was so slow motion but clear cut saturday night massacrism. you mean no matter how bad behaves, if you don't think the republicans are going to back you, you're not going to act? >> no one is above the law and that has to be clear. what i think speaker pelosi is saying -- and by the way this gang is deep in the hole betting against speaker pelosi. i dont know how much thaw want to double down. what she's saying is right which is if there's an air tight case and bipartisan support,en the we move forward.

they both voiced objections to these kids getting the security clearances. i want to know why either one of these wanted him to get them. they applied a number of concerns like that people from the united arab emirates and other places were discussing how to it get to kushner. two unreported transition meetings with the head of the russian state-owned bank and the russian ambassador. anybody who's seen the godfather has seen fredo being manipulated by the guy out west. so what do you make of this? >> this is just another episode in the tabloids that we see on the grocery store racks.

i mean this is a president who abuses power. he says they don't know how to play the game. he thinks this is a game but they have rules and they were put in places after bobby kennedy was the attorney general and that basically said no more nepotism. so he decides he's goeing to make his daughter and son in law volunte volunteer so they won't be subject to the nepotism law. and he wants to give the two volunteer top security clearances. then when they don't meet the standards, he tells them just get them the security clearances. i mean there's a reason why the intelligence community made that recommendation. our country's status is at risk. our national security is at risk and we somehow think this is just some little game.

it's not a game. it is a very serious consideration. they shouldn't be in the white house as volunteers and my bill, hr 1028 is one that would require that -- if you're a volunteer in the white house, you're going to be paying $1,000 a day fine for trying to manipulate the laws in this count era country as it relates to nepotism. we are going to allow this to continue to go on. >> reporters covering this. these two kids could well find themselves indicted by robert mueller. and question is the president pardons them, would that move the house of representatives to move on to impeachment hearings? >> i think we have to wait and see. >> that's incredible what you're sawing.

well, democratic are about socialism verses capitalism. it's brought back kaungzs i had with east germans. when the berlin wall was coming down, i wanted to hear their story of why their system in east germany failed. they were the true believes. factory managers and school principals. they were equitable to the ideals and its victims. while they accepted the modest incomes, they faced a daily

humiliation by a government that sent them, the people who made the system work to the back of the line while the exploiters of the system grabbed all the good life. good east germans watched them go to tourists and they had to wait 18 months for the delivery of the lousy cars the country made. a system fails when if doesn't providicnomic justice to the very people who make it work. we have succeeded magnificently in terms of economic efficiency. and evolving social safety net of medicare, medicaid, unemployment compensation, together with antitrust and other regulations have made this country what it is today. but we better be on alert to the need to adjust the balance between the power of the marketplace and the need to soften and offset its power. we need to insure those hurt are
