and other money managers don't understand why. because our way works great for us! but not for your clients. that's why we're a fiduciary, obligated to put clients first. so, what do you provide? cookie cutter portfolios? nope. we tailor portfolios to our client's needs. but you do sell investments that earn you high commissions, right? we don't have those. so, what's in it for you? our fees are structured so we do better when you do better. at fisher investments we're clearly different. so here's to the strong, who trust in our performance and comfortable, long-lasting protection. because your strength is supported by ours. depend. the only thing stronger than us, is you. with spray mopping to lock away debris and absorb wet messes, all in one disposable pad. just vacuum, spray mop, and toss. the shark vacmop, a complete clean all in one pad.

welcome back, everybody. joining me now with a look at axios a.m. the cofounder of axios, mike allen. great to see you on this monday morning. >> good morning. >> give us the axios one big thing today? >> we blew it. how's that looking back on the past few months of how america handles the covid crisis, we had a chance to build a bridge the idea was to build a bridge to august, september, a trillion
2:33 am
dollar -- trillions of dollars were poured into it, shutdown the economy, built the bridge and by september kids will be able to go to school and all the parents will be able to go to work of course, all of that is in doubt right now and as my colleagues put it, instead of a bridge, we built a pier. what went wrong? we blew it on public health, schools, and economics and listen to this one, we blew it on goodwill so many people sheltered down, locked down, wore masks, made sacrifices, so many people didn't, people who were essential workers went out and so many people went out without their masks. bottom line it didn't have to be this way.

>> it didn't with the hundreds of thousands of lives that have been lost because of covid let's switch gears and talk about your interview with mark zuckerberg he received backlash for allowing the president to post inflammatory messages on facebook you spoke with the ceo of facebook, what do you have to say? >> there's an idea because president trump uses facebook so aggressively in his campaign and to post his messages, there was this idea that mark zuckerberg and the white house had some sort of deal, that there was some sort of secret understanding. there's been a few private meetings, conversations, one dinner at the white house. mark zuckerberg told me, let me be clear, there is no deal he called the idea pretty ridiculous, and he pointed out all the ways he differed with
2:35 am
the white house. and why it matters is mark zuckerberg is becoming increasingly vocal about these differences. we saw him interviewing dr. anthony fauci last week expressing his contempt for the administration's coronavirus effort he has expressed, in the past, his objections to the president's immigration climate policy as general rhetoric so this is an ad boycott saying even though he supports free speech particularly in the political area he has big, big differences with donald trump. >> mike allen, thank you i'll be reading axios a.m. in a little bit, you too can sign up at axios.com that does it for me on this monday morning i'm yasmin vossoughian "morning joe" starts right now it's one person coming in from china and we have it under control. it's going to be just fine.
2:36 am
>> when you have 15 people and the 15 within a couple days is going to be down to close to zero, that's a good job we've done. >> i think we're going to be good with the coronavirus. i think at some point that's going to just sort of disappear, i hope >> i'll be right eventually. i said it's going to disappear, i'll say it again, and i'll be right. >> does that discredit you >> i don't think so. you know why, because i've been right probably more than anybody else. >> we'll have a lot more of that coming up. good morning and welcome to "morning joe," it is monday july, 20th with us, we have joe and white house reporter for associated press al sharpton and

professor and editor jason johnson. back. >> anything happen over the weekend? >> my gosh, anything happen over the past two weeks quite a lot. i've got to say, though, the lead in "the washington post" about the chris wallace interview yesterday really laid it out and the description, trump was visually rattled and at times hostile as he struggled to answer for his administration's failure to contain the coronavirus which has claimed more than 137,000 lives in the united states. really, if you wanted to know what was going on, mika, in the chris wallace interview and the impact that it was having on donald trump and the impact it's had on donald trump's presidency since march, all you had to do
2:38 am
was read on and see, you know, joe biden's quote, the past six months have proven again and again it's donald trump that doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to covid-19, when it comes to the coronavirus you can't believe a word he said, it'll be easy to say that's what he's going to say because he's running against donald trump for the presidency. fortunately for republicans in the senate and donald trump, the overwhelming number of americans believe what joe biden is saying, and don't believe what donald trump is saying in the same newspaper, a growing number of americans disapprove of the handling of the pandemic, they found that only
