that they're getting from people. >> you hit it just right. a lot of mixed messages. both publicly and potentially privately. the president made clear that he wants to fight. there is more lawsuits, all playing out, at least some of that will play out before there is amovement from the president. he is putting a lot of republicans on the spot. he is putting them on the spot. we're seeing mixed messages from democrats. just listen to what chris christie and senator lindsey graham both allies of the president said today. >> this is a contested election. the media doesn't decide who becomes president. president trump should not concede. there is a lot of shenanigans going on here. i would take all of this to court and i would fight back.

socialism. very far from it. that is what i was tarred by -- tarred with by my republican opponent. those attacks are out there and they are coming from the republican party. but we have to be unified to get things done and i think we will do that especially under joe biden's leadership. there is a lot of americans right now that just want to see congress do the right thing for the country. they want to see congress do the right thing for the country. i'm reminded of a world war ii veteran that said if you win this election promise me would go to washington as an american. not a republican or a democrat, but as a american. there is no time when i have been proud tore be a democrat than in this moment, but we have to come together to governor as americans and to put our country first and fund enough common ground to get things down for an american public that needs us to accomplish a lot of things.

be even more important now than it was last year. i trust nancy pelosi to be able to hold our party together. and of course it is challenging. we're the majority party. we're a big ten party. we have the majority of views under that tent. and it will be good debates. that is healthy for our party and for the american people. take health care, for example. all democrats want to make health care an unalienable right for the american people. but we have some debates about how to get there and they will continue under the biden-harris administration. nancy pelosi can hold us together to have those debates in a healthy way and to come together and pass legislation to send to the senate, ram it through mitch mcconnell, and get it to president biden's desk. that is what we need to do on health care, on climate, on coronavirus relief, on
