that we have so many families that are food insecure, and texas has the highest number of children who are food insecure at more than 2 million. we've seen food insecurity more than double among households this year, and families with children by one estimate by northwestern had a food insecurity rate of 20.5%. and at the same time, mitch mcconnell and his republican buddies have been sitting there with the h.e.r.o.s. act on their doorstep for months and months not lifting a finger but doing everything that they can to get one more unqualified judge through before the end of this term. it is stunning, and when you layer on top of that a president that is now awol in terms of any kind of leadership, responding to this covid crisis, you know, thank god that we have new leadership in the oval office come january 20th.
