biden electoral vote margin is the same as trumps from 2016. which trump at the time called a massive landslide. as the loser he has 58 days to pack his stuff and go. instead of focusing on a peaceful transition of power or filling out change of address forms. or getting luggage together. we're witnessing a cornered man making baseless clams. the election is rigd. it's not possible he lost. in a different time he would have been shamed for desecration of the constitutional system. instead the republican party helping trump in his effort to disenfranchise the americans he swore an oath to defend. in this case mostly black and other democratic voters. late today the michigan boards certified joe biden as the winner of the state. 16 votes. by law and practice certify case is a routine sign off.

instead it happened after republicans had a little hearing. told the obvious. they had to certify. and one republican ab stained. over in the court, trumps band of mitt fit toys. the elite strike force. keeps striking out. a republican judge dismissed the case with prejudice. calling it a frankenstein monster. without merit and speculative accusations. in the wake of yet another rejection a handful of republicans are daring to admit the emperor has no clothes. ohio senator wrote based on the information currently available. neither the recount have led to a different out come in any state. in other words the initial determination showing joe biden with enough votes to win hasn't changed. no s sherlock. those not willing to join us in the lands of the obvious will publicly outed.

blasting 21 republican senators who he says have expressed contempt for trump privately. or refusing to speak out publicly. courage. i want to start and bring my colleague. we just watched your very interesting interview with trump lawyer. she is still restated that trump not only won. but a landslide. i didn't hear it. you are the lawyer not me. did you hear any legal basis or evidence for the said landslide. >> no. i thought she came up empty handed like many of the lawyers. i want to be clear and respectful. we talk to all kind of people. the question i posed and i wouldn't do it every night on repeat. i wanted a trump lawyer once. what are you trying to do? what is the point the purpose? there's not a single pending case that can change the out come. you have of course the president himself under whatever delay

conceding to some of that in his own way. saying we'll have a transition. we have the embers of the desire for some of final clash that legally doesn't look like the president will get. he said he thinks this will end in a supreme the court. the lawyer said she hopes that as well. what we don't see is a path to do that. we see them losing every time they bring one of the claims. none of the cases if victorious would change the national map. >> let me ask you this, for people watching it's like 31 cases and they won one or two. that don't change anything. how long can they keep doing this? is there unlimited appeals as long as you have the money for lawyers and people fool enough to give money to the legal defense? is there a limit the court says you have to stop. >> it's a great question. you have mid-december as the constitutional deadline for the certification in what they call

the safe harbor period. you can count mid-december christmas you don't really have anything left. in court you can march back in and claim, this was mishandled. this was a fraud. the door shuts tightly then. and there are costs in the patch work system. it depends on the state. this is the founders genius or insanity. in wisconsin, you have to pay for your recount. when it came to the ticket price of 8 million for the full state or 3 million for partial. they came up cheap and only want to pay for partial. in other states it doesn't have to require payment by the candidate. if you are within the right required margin. we haven't seen in history -- i brought this up. we haven't seen an all of american history a recount every move more than 400 votes. the narrowest margin is not 400 or 800. or 1,200.

or 1,600. it's over 10,000 in georgia. we have no reason hisically or legally. anything would change that. they are entitled to go to court and talk. we have to listen to people we don't want to listen to. it's very clear that the door is shutting. and the president dismissal of miss powell and the frustration with the legal team. sometimes there's not a grand strategy. there's a hope for something someone said might happen. the judge says you have nothing. >> absolutely. that's why they are saying the zillion trump votes are in germany. i said that. there's nowhere else to get votes if not in germany. thank you. that was quite an interview.

guide her in the decision making pros. none of us will be inside the room of what actually happened here. when you hear some republicans talking about loyalty and some of the reporting about her own concerns, hinging on loyalty. that tells you enough about what was going on here. the fact that this happened at all really marks an unprecedented hazing of this incoming administration. that we have never seen before based on an argument that the president actually told us he was going to do. he told us he was going to do this. there was going to be fraud and build out a narrative. they told us give us some time to find the facts. we'll find some. there will be fraud. we promise you. what happened here is they were never able to manufacture the facts. i was on the ground in detroit and all of the arguments they were making for instance two classes of arguments. fraud arguments pure conspiracy

theory stuff about voting machines and never anything there. and never a fact chul basis to that. the second if you look closely is we were disrespected, we weren't treated right. we were harassed. essentially. but i was there when they tried to storm the tsf center. i was there. i heard people testify today as well about what was happening inside the room with all the people who showed up and just said they were self-anointed poll watchers. they had no training. they didn't know what they were looking at. demanding one lady discard a table of ballots because she wasn't wearing a name tag. they weren't respecting social distancing. i guess some people in detroit did get a little irritated with that. and that became the basis of massive fraud conspiracy. sect thing is that what happened in detroit happens all over the country. with this inability to balance

the books completely and vote for vote. grandma mails in a ballot and forgets to put the ballot in the envelope. it's out of balance. you don't have a vote. it didn't show up. these things happen. the fact they picked detroit that will sting for a while. that will be an open wound. >> black voters will never forget that. donald trump said that this lady is crazy. she can't be part of my team. she's embarrassing. the lady who went out there, i have nothing to do with it. they're making me look bad. christy saying people are an embarrassment. and powell which is causing the angst suddenly she's doing this on her own. she's practicing law on her own. she's not a member of the trump legal team. element six please.

over turn the election of joe biden. >> no. there's not been anything. thanks for having me by the way. i appreciate you. there's not been anything legally that i have seen that's come out. it has been crazy conspiracy theories. anybody can appeal a case. and because once a case gets turned down and lose at a lower court level. appeals are obligated to take the case. the supreme court is not obligated to take cases. i'm not seeing anything with a legal basis whatsoever. and agree with chris christy. these cases are now beginning to be an embarrassment for the legal profession. and need to stop. it needs to stop. let the transition move forward. >> somebody who has been a civil rights lawyer and done the right thing as human being. to fight for the rights for

black people and receive justice in the court. how do you feel watching republicans go specifically after black voters in places where they are the majority or substantial. >> it's really unfortunate. it is continuing to stoke the division that we have in the country. we have the general service administration saying this transition needs to move forward. joe biden ran on a healing platform. that's what we need to be doing. we don't need to be attacks one group or the other. particularly going after black voters who have enough issues across the country. we're trying to cast a ballot. it's an insult to the community. insult to the those who really went to the polls. everyone wanted a high voter turn out. we encouraged people to get out and we're insulting them saying it's fraud. it's a sad commentary on the lawyers pursuing claims.

time of day. the messaging is consistent. people want to party and he's the partier in chief. >> absolutely. that's right. not only that, you would think he would want to take some pride in the vaccines. and some of the research and funding that helped leadtous a place to have potential vaccines or the g 20 to celebrate. he's not willing to talk about the potential for the united states to act and do its part in getting the world vaccinated safely. forget about any of that. i hope what congresswoman said is she is right. that we need to appeal to people. we need to tell them it's not about you. it's helping healthcare workers sacrificing their lives. 2,000 workers have died taking care of covid patients and counting. it's in the about you. let's try to do what we can and give my friends a break. who are doing this. on the front line every day.

the president of the united states would have a travel ban to keep people out when in fact we're supposed to be the country that welcomes. of course this president has disappointed us in every turn. i wish i could say i'm surprised at what he's doing. this way that he is trying to make people believe that somehow he actually won the election. and that the democrats have been a fraud. and not counting the votes properly on and on. i'm not surprised. i have known that this was a man with no good values. this was a human being who really doesn't care about others. and really doesn't care about the constitution. democracy, none of that. he has shown it throughout the four years and so let him keep going as far as he wants to go. even though the door is closed on him now. there's nowhere to go. if he wants to try and keep

going to the supreme court. let him try. it's over. we have a president-elect and vice preponderate who will take this country in another direction. and create the change and appreciation for diversity and talent. that will help the democracy to be stronger. i'm looking forward to inauguration. >> absolutely. what yould you recommend that we have a president-elect that he can accomplish in the next 50 something days to ease the strain and horror particularly of healthcare workers. is there anything you recommend he do? >> great question. couple of things, i do think sending signals he's not afraid january 2020 invoke the defense production act for all the supplies we'll need. for the testing and p.p.e. but the vaccine distribution. it takes gloves and needles and people. i think he can send a signal as

as donlds trump and republicans continue to file the phony lawsuits to over turn the clear election victory. the strategy is one that republicans have waged for decades. disenfranchising black americans. atlanta, detroit, milwaukee. they want to throw out votes in all of them. large populations of black voters who supported biden. unlike decades past the courts and public are not having it. in detroit black voters are suing donald trump for trying to take the constitutional protected right away. defendants are seeking to tactics repeat the worst abuses in american history. denied a voice in democracy for two centuries of the republic. joining me now. cochair of the poor peoples campaign and my friend. bishop, i look at the demographic in the states. detroit being the city with the

highest black percentage population in american. 78%. atlanta being a majority african-american. milwaukee. that is where they are suing. what does this tell you about the state of the republican party? >> it tells us that they are still using the same play book developed in 1968. by richard nixon and that talked about positive polarization. code words like urban and city. they say whatever black people vote in mass it's fraud. they never own their proven in the court voter suppression. courts have proved republicans have engaged in racism and suppression with surgical precision. this is an old play book. trump is not the only one. this is the caution. he's just using what was prepared and has been used for a long time. reagan used it. nixon. others have used it. even republicans today that don't like trump use the same

tactic. and have been big on voter suppression. the claim of fraud is fraudulent. the really issue is voter suppression and this is another tactic. what he's trying to do now. >> i see the same echoes in the two georgia senators who aside from the sort of dubious taste in investment, feeding off the pandemic to make money. they have both tried to claim that election in georgia that donald trump lost was fraudulent. the other thing i feel like conservatives use is the black church. they love to walk into the church on mlk day. you did loeffler do it. they want to get on the pulpit. and turn around and attack the said man of the church. attack the pastor. reverend warnock. >> they love the king of the
