the streets here today people use words like -- they say they are sad. if you asked them directly about president putin you don't get an answer. that, i think is understandable. the protests you have been seeing appearing at this point now not in the mood to go on the street. there are many others who, often we watch on television, who support president putin and understand that thing that there is a struggle right now for russia in that way. but they still support the aims of president putin as set out. there are different views. i think the real question is what is the view inside the kremlin. in the past days and weeks we have begun to see your criticism. not directly of president putin, but of those around him. particularly his military leads. >> you hit the nail on the head. there is report ahead on what exactly is being reported by

to woo saudi on the side of the carrot rather than the stick. >> i would ask about -- democrat in new jersey. you write that he says that that would get their attention, if the distorted withdrawing stuff. that is his quote. call us bluff. do they think they can play their american security partner for a russian security partner or chinese security partner. they know they can do that. does that give president biden leverage? >> it does he want to use it. the question is how much does he want to use it? i know you hear from ministration officials, a cautious approach. they don't want to direct them on saudi arabia, they're angry in private. they haven't publicly used very tough language or anything that. the question is whether the president to take that more impressive stance. -- one thing administration officials are saying, is that with what happened in december. let's see if this does in fact cause boil prices here at home, gas prices and home to go up.

belong to him. the justice department is focused on not just the color of the documents, that obviously a minority. the idea is obstruction. -- john in particular danger, especially if he hasn't turned over all documents even after the fbi search. he told them in the summertime, in a statement signed by his lawyers and he had returned all documents. we know that's not the case as they obviously found boxes and boxes when they went in later in the summer. we know already that he is on holding true to the justice department. that's a dangerous thing. i'm not a lawyer, but it seems when you got commenting that's not true then -- >> we have a great lawyer on the panel, so lisa, your thoughts on that? how dangerous is that? >> extremely dangerous. i should also say, it's not entirely clear that trump is even telling the truth in his legal race. so far up until this past week, we have seen trump dancing on the edge of insinuation in his

legal briefs. generally speaking he was not making the same sort of assertions in his legal filings that he is making the public domain. here's the problem, earlier today they saw told the supreme court that all the documents that he had his documents and were to mar-a-lago had been moved in their prior to the end of his presidency. thanks to jason leopold it is very clever public records request we know that's probably not the case that palate upon palette of documents were initially moved from the white house to a temporary office in virginia and not actually sent to mar-a-lago until late september of 2021. so, yes, on one level that's not a misrepresentation that goes to the heart of potential cases donald trump, but you can see what the danger is not just for the former president for four people involved in representing him if there's going to take at face value what he says and make it into briefs. whether her the supreme court, 11th circuit, even judge dearie. that is a very dangerous place

for him to be with the department of justice and his lawyers to be with the respective state bars and courts in which they are practicing. >> with msnbc news coming from this week that donald trump is still hanging on to documents what comes next? what options does the doj have and do you think that we will see more search warrants? whether at mar-a-lago or the properties we mentioned, trump tower, the minister. he did something you'd expect to see? i think there's a possibility, alex. the fact that brett went to team trump and said that we believed your clients has more documents tells me two things. one, the department of justice does make those representations unless they have some pretty solid backing for it. two, the department of justice understands that trump is the one weaponizing the investigation and all of his public appearances. at least arizona, nevada, and the swing states in which he is campaigning. they understand that if they're

joining is congresswoman -- democratic member of the house intelligence and oversight and reform committees. welcome sir, thank you for joining. i know it is wrapped up an event so i appreciate your time with us this sunday. it's because you are on this intelligence committee. you have a sense of the security concerns in america. what do you know about this increased chatter and how concerned are you about political violence as we approach this is mentioned 30 days? >> i am very concerned. here in chicago there is a professor name robert paid man who has done extensive research on this topic at the university of chicago. what he found was, for instance, in the hours before he took too truth social to have a comment on the fbi searching for the documents at mar-a-lago. , the worst civil war had occurred roughly five times an hour, which is a lot to me. after he said what he did, it
