running in safely republican seats. where are about to see an onslaught of election deniers come to power across the country. how should the various states involved here be preparing. how should we as the country be preparing for what is likely to set up an ugly 20 2024 cycle? >> well, i think that we are very prepared at this point. even though protecting democracy is a top priority for both democratic and republican voters, repair protecting democracy means different things depending on what side of the aisle you foul on. the bottom line, what we saw at the january six committee hearings, the thing that stopped the overturning of the elections wasn't the capitol police and the insurrectionists being stopped at the capitol building. it was actually people going by the letter of the law. people obeying the will of the votes. beying thethat is not necessarie going to see in 2024 if these election deniers, secretaries of states, governors, and people in congress have their way. so, this is a dire situation. i don't know if democrats are

1:08 pm
and say, okay, what about those 140 capitol police officers? he needs to say it, not just in a friday night debate that nobody watches, but in ads. right, now the airways are dominated by republicans and republican groups who are pounding on the crime issue. democrats have not pushback. in, fact it was less than a week ago that barnes ran the first campaign raising the abortion issues. at some, point there has to be some counter punching if they're going to be successful in a state like wisconsin. >> charlie makes a great point about the counter points. at this stage in the game, that is what it is all about. in the state of pennsylvania, crime is also a hot topic. the senate race there, the democrats best hope for flipping the republican seat back to the blue. it rests with the lieutenant governor and democratic candidate in pennsylvania. his lead against his republican candidate is only six points on average according to 5:30.
