i am happy to have given you the most memorable moments thi year what year it has been. with that let's bring in our esteemed panel republican strategist and msnb political analyst, susan del percio daniel moodie, host of the wal and the democracy podcast. and ali velshi, host of velshi right here on msnbc. this year was dominated by the midterm elections. with that in mind, let's get right to our first, revvie the biggest political showdown i will share a few of my nominees to get us started i the panel can chime in the first is the showdown in pennsylvania between joh fetterman and dr. oz oz when the republican nomination based on fame, an he got a dispensing medica

advice on tv, but it was fetterman's health that was th big concern after he suffered stroke during a campaign - during the campaign. in the end, though, dr. oz had no cure for allegations he wasn't a true pennsylvanian, and fetterman will be packin up his hoodies and heading for capitol hill my next nominee, the rumble in the desert for arizona governor. maga republican fell head over heels for lakes tv ready smoothness but arizona preferred th low-key competence of thei democratic senators. they campaigned on a platfor of denying the 2020 election results, and now she is raisin questions about her own defeat

although, yet again, there i no evidence to support her claim. it brings me to my final epi showdown, the growing rivalr between florida governor, ro desantis, and former president donald trump the new york post hopefull broke down the feud between th two front pages. desantis, cruised to reelection, throwing med meet to the republican base. it looks like the future, whil many of trump's handpicked candidates lost their race making him a political laughin stock right before his rushe announcement of a thir presidential campaign. panel, what are your thoughts? >> i will put ron desantis and donald trump for later because we have a lot of tim to discuss that in the nex couple of years. i was very relieved to see joh

fetterman run. particularly after that debate in which it drew attention t his stroke look, people who don't die o strokes often get a lot better but americans have difficult processing this. he was having difficulty processing the language in tha debate i almost charted to think, h might just win this campaign b staying home but he won, and i thought it was meaningful the kari lake and katie hobb situation was something else because katie hobbs got a lo of criticism for not getting out there and debating her, fo not having the high energy campaign that kari lake had, but in the and katie hobbs, i' trying to remember how you described her, but she was jus a tenacious secretary of state did her job, and in the en conservatives and arizon looked to her and chose he over kari lake because they said arizona ha got a long, rich conservativ history, we do not need this >> and maybe hobbs understoo that better. >> in hindsight, she probabl did. >> i will tell you that

watched katie hobbs, and kar lake elections, and initially was really critical of katie hobbs not showing up, deciding not to debate. because i thought that there was a missed opportunity anytime you have an opportunit to speak to the voters w should get upfront and speak t the voters but then i said, you know, maybe she's on to something. because kari lake is just goin to turn this into a circus she is going to show up an vacuum carpets like she di before donald trump' appearance in arizona. she is a stick, that is what she is katie hobbs says i am a seriou candidate that cares about the people of arizona. so i respected her for her decision, and clearly th people of arizona did as well. for fetterman and oz, oz is no even from pennsylvania i mean, that was the thing and medical doctor, with all o his homes, right so a couple of countries, couple of homes, and to be honest doctor oz stopped makin sense to me when i realize
