stuff. it's a bunch of different lega cases are coming to soon, and think there are a lot of legal implications that we have no even talked about what's happening with the documents case at the doj. i do think that there is a lot he has a lot of legal exposure and civil exposure which could -- but i don't think that it will hurt him i honestly think that his base is so dug into i don't think i will matter. he will say that this is the dna from new york, which is blue state, and these people this is political, and it ha nothing to do what wha happened remember, he has done this stormy daniels dance before. he has every different defense and he will say it never happened you will remember the most recent stuff that he is th nine now i don't think it necessarily

matters. i think his base is so dug in, that they will go along with anything >> cynthia, even if trump is indicted, convicting him o sending him to prison will b challenging for the a bragg. explain to us why this case is rather unique? >> well, first i would say i that probably to me, the mos important aspect of the case would be jury selection, because as molly says, as much about trump and even about - is baked in. people have their opinions and won't change picking a jury will be critical the case has problems. michael cohen, who is the lead witness, is a liar he's a convicted liar. his book is titled revenge if you can't cross examine michael cohen on trump, yo don't belong in this business. that's a problem there are legal issues the case, you could say is fundamentally a misdemeanor,

which could be increased to felony, depending on the way that is planned or properl played that is also a legal challenge it's a difficult position, and that is why i think a lot of legal observers, frankly, woul prefer the gravel meant of trump's this loyalty to th country by trying to overtur the election and the jack smit case and then using th department of justice. that is really what he did tha is a terrible, right that is the thing. he tried to overturn our constitution in a violent way, and we are fit the battlin around with some booker who go paid that is not what makes him s dangerous to the country so, while i think this case is part of the avalanche, to me because it has problems, i car deeply about what jack smith i doing much more and what i

>> no. i mean, you know, there even some people who say ther should be a federal election commission violation i have to say, i find th federal election commission to be weak. when was the last time they di anything really? half the time they can even ge a -- so, i don't think, i think wha will come of that, it will jus be part of this overal testimony. what's interesting, moll brings it, up will the fox viewer ever really see anything. i think, i'm hopeful that this is what happened to th damages. first of all, there's no enough zeroes, number one, but number two, the judge ca fashion other remedies that he deems to be appropriate. i would suggest people think about the tobacco settlement in the tobacco settlement, one of the things that was require was this constant reportin that in fact, tobacco is dangerous, in fact, tobacco is dangerous for babies, it's dangerous for pregnant women

people were not so intereste in making sure that women' lives are protected. and if you look back at roe v. wade, at the original 1973 decision, you can see wa decided so broadly because the doctors were truly afraid to treat women. you have these women who are not able to get treatment. again, treatment can mean al sorts of things. i mean, this ban really does target pregnant women, right because if you have miscarriage or you nee treatment, you cannot get it i these states with abortion bans. >> doctor perritt, we're still waiting for a court decision out of texas that could ban th abortion pill. it was approved by the fda ove 20 years ago how could that, how would that decision impact medica abortions? >> that decision is gonn impact reproductive health car across the board medication abortion or otherwise. we use mifepristone and

start-ups and one of the country's top 20 banks, with more than 200 billion dollar and assets after a panic 40 hours, it was shut down and the bigges banking failure since the 2008 financial crisis, and th second largest in u.s. history joining me now to explain al of this is ben white, chie economic correspondent for politico, and to see nbc contributor. thank you for joining us so, this was a rapid downwar spiral that certainly has a lo of people thinking back on 2008 tell us what happened in those 48 hours >> yeah, so good to be with you, thank you for having me. it was a banker, a old-fashioned bank run and which wealthy depositors are as we mentioned, both valley start up executives or - executives, folks have a lot o assets in the bank, over 250 000, the limit on fdic

insurance. the bank itself ha unfortunately funded itself, particularly a lot of deposits and bought a long dated assets i don't get too complicated fo viewers in the weeds of this they bought bonds, a lot o them the fed started raisin interest rates, caused the value of their bonds to go down, people want to buy bonds wit higher rates all of a sudden, people go wind of that, thought thei money was in danger, and started to take it out once that started, rumor started flying on twitter an elsewhere, this is very high tech crowd, they all rushed to get money out. by that point, the bank run wa unstoppable, and they had to step in, take it over, figur out what to do next. the problem really lies in the nature of the assets on svb' -- i don't know why they had al these long dated bonds, before the fed was gonna rais interest rates they had to raise capital, hol him at a big loss, everyon

panicked, took their cash out. that was the end of it for them >> another part of thi equation is who the customer of this particular bank were it didn't look like any bank silicon valley bank had a high number of start-up clients >> yeah. >> our markets going to view silicon valley bank as jus representative of silico valley overall what do you see as the wider impact here? >> yeah, yeah, well, hopefully the wider impact is limited by the fact that it has now bee taken over my assessment is probably that in the receivership process, the bank will buy the assets and debts, and everyone will b made whole i think it doesn't look grea for silicon valley banking i general, i don't think it call into question some of the more you know, solid start-ups, they'll still get money, they'll still get ange investors. it may bring in a question, as crypto did, the crashing crypto,
