tojffá give every laste1 person carry on. >> reporter: and i really give you a sense of kind of what we're seeing here, this town of rolling forke1 was completely ok flattened. completely wiped out. homes just gone.e1 within dz came into this town and completely wiped out qhome, thi woman dolores who lived right over there, her sister delinda lost her life. they walked out of the trailer, and her trailer, just gone, her body found hours later. this community in mourning as you look at the complete and utter destruction.

his fq his grandbaby's life, his so much of this community still reeling in these recovery efforts knowing that they're lucky that they're able to survive, but alsoi] know that other9q(sr&iesxd are hurting rit now. i want to talk to the mayorjf o rolling fork. mayor eldridge joining us now -- mayor walker, joining us now. mayor, thank you for joining us. iq aw$áq(rpáe it. i knowq it's a rough timeq for e community after this tornado. talk us through, if you will, the recovery efforts and how you guys are picking up the pieces. >> well, recovery is still going on. i'% thinking today is going to be thecok final day ofq that everybody has been accounted for mostly. and as you know,xd we've lost 1 folks in this community.

and being a small community that we are, everybody knows each other. what's important is that our families are taken care of. >> yeah. >> our displaced families and those injured, and that's taken care of. right now, we're looking atr trying to come back. to rebuild rolling fork, mississippi, to make it a better community thanr we just really want to thank the volunteers and folks who have come from as far as tennessee, ì(lc% it's a great thing. we're just thankful for them. and i thank them on behalf of our community. >> how do you rebuild from something like that? i was speaking to jeffrey earlier, whose mother's housee1 wasc ruined. thq >> it is daunting, as we look around. but we've got commitments fromo our state government.

knows each other. same here. with rolling fork aó[■ couple thousand residents, silver city has just over 300. and in the city of 300 e1people three died. andi] when you look at the devastation, it's, honestly, hard to believe there weren't and someone said there's a child under that e1rubble. it was a 2-year-old girle1 who saidlpe1 hexd tried to resuscit with cpr. here's part of this harrowing story, take a listen. >> i started doing e1cpr, they started breathing, i thought, thank gosh, she's breathing,

doing cpr, started giving mouth to mouth, i guess herfá wound w too great.e1w3xde1 she had bruises on her body. and her little brotherñi was climbing out of a pile of debris.i]e1w3 >> reporter:okçó that'se1 larry telling us he hak( slept five hours total since xdñifriday. but he's cried since friday. he said he doesn't know the name of the little girl, the name of the family, the girl who heok tried to save and the families he came across that night. !een helping e hm each ñiother. i just want to give you a look, one final look, in all of that heartache helping each other. we have heavy machinery ov here. everybody is showingxd up with bulldozers, with machinery, to start moving debris around. theylp don't want to wait for fema, yasmin. they want to get here and start cleaning up themselves, knowing,

here. they're volunteers that have driven from all overq this country to leave. eventually, they're going to leave, tv news is going to leave.7 disaster to hit somewhere else. and i have to be here to assurd these people we arexd not leavi. we are not leaving. we are going to bee1 here to he this community lprebuild. it's a close tight-knit community. we're proud of them. we're proud of their resilience. we're proud of the fact that there were a lot of people trapped in their homes, as soon as they gotq out, they went dow the street to make sure neighbors were okay, their cousin was okay. with 5a■mississippi, i assure t we're going to help them fáu rebuild. >> we are here for thefá long haul, we're here not just fo' the recovery, but we also want to make sure rebuilding, we're doing in a way that maksfá these communities that are impacted. >> in addition to recovery and rebuilding, many here are concerned aboute1 maintaining t

>> we actually have 18 ofe1 tho sculptures around town. chain sawlp carved sculptures, teddy bearse1 carved from cypre trees around town. that is something we do each year atqq our festival. in october, we have the festival, the great bear fair whiche1 e1commemorates, 1900 be hunt that president roosevelt came on in rolling i]fork. he dv not kill a bear. that led to the naming of stuffed toy bears as teddy bear s. if you think about them,q all o your stuffed animals are just a stuffed giraffe or elephant, or whatever. but ifi] you've got ako■ bear, a teddy bear. and that came from here. >> a lot of history and a lot of tradition and family coming together amidst all of this

rebuilding, the recovery, and kind of just cleaning up there. but we are watching storms today. we've still got frontal boundary, keep in mind, it's the same frontal boundary brought through last week, through the win the, brought tható[■ danger weather. mississippi on friday, we saw storms in georgia. notice today, storms still in georgia, also in alabama, and new orleans, to the carolinas. this is the same frontal boundarye1 moving very, very slowly. it's going to continue to move slowly over the next 24 hours. you see radar, the brighter colors of red, oranges and yellows, that's where we're seeing the heaviest rain falling.e1 lots offá lightning. very electrical. continuing to see the lightning especially after the daytime heating. in thefá center of your screen the center part of mississippi, you see an orange box, that's the thunderstorm warnings. you see that pink box in portions of georgia. that is a tornado watch.

so there'se1 aw3 concern for mo strong storms throughout the afternoon.t( lots of heavy rain, andxd risk flash flooding throughout the day, çótoo. because these storms could see rainfall rates of one inch, one and a halft( inchese1 per hour. it's pulling that moisture of the gulf, that's whyq we're seeing heavier rains we do have floodlpiáu(u(rqj in alabama and georgia. where you see the green, that i1 a flood watch.c c1 the redr and tells us flooding is happen right now. macon, you can see tricky travel. you want to stay in and avoid any flooded roadways. and we're expecting quite a bit of rain especially the gulf coast or portions of the southeast. locally, 3 inches or greater. with the e1downpours, we could e a short amount ofok rain. dtqi áq+ere storms, throughout afternoon, dealing with winds up to 60 miles per hour with any

today, a new witness is expected to appear before the new york grand jury investigating former president donald trump and hush money payments to adult film star stormy daniels. that's according to a source with direct knowledge of the situation. you can see here, manhattan district attorney alvin bragg is leading that investigation arriving at his office this morning. bragg has come underfá increasi attack from trump and his fellor nbc's vaughn hillyard was at trump's rally over the weekend. he joins us outsidee1 of west pm beach mar-a-lago. and also outside of that e1offi, gabe gutierrez. gabe, you're outsidet( of the d.a.'s office, what moref)ñ you know about the morning?
