because donald is not somebody who likes to tak accountability and, alvin bragg shot like a 2000-pound and full of accountability just onto his lap. it is the first time in hi life that he is going to b held accountable for his own dirty deeds. >> the case isn't just legal it has become personal last week i confronted trump's lawyer on this program about the threats district attorne brag, including the former presidents re-post of a pictur that appears to show threatening brag with a bat. the da's office has reportedly received numerous threats. and, michael, i don't want t get personal about, i have t ask you on the air we talked about this off the air. you've received a lot of threats. you and your family, the las days since the indictment. do you feel uncomfortabl talking about that because i touches me when you were away.

i talk to your son, had prayer with him, had prayer with yo before and you shared with me on th phone the other day that the threats had become, had gone off the chains of th indictment >> well, that is donald trump. he is blowing the dog whistle, so to speak. he knows exactly what he i doing. when he was holding up tha baseball bat to alvin bragg, h is sending a mob message he is not just doing it to sho a baseball bat, where th baseball bat is a slugger made in usa like his reporting. that is a lie. and, what he is doing is he is trying to invoke fear an intimidation but at the same time, he i also passing the message to hi supporters baseball bats, they work to. >> now, and see also trying to imply to whoever may b witnesses at this trial that h is trying to intimidate them >> yeah. so, it has threats o intimidation are not specifically directed at alvin

bragg, or the prosecutoria team it is anyone that he deems a threat to him. he wants them to know that h has the power of 28% of th republican party he has these images who, lik the ones that stormed th capital, seditious conspiracy, he has a group of individual and, that is exactly what he i doing. >> and that could also include the judge of the juries. and everyone involved. >> he has already gone after the judge, the judge hates in the judges are racist i, mean he says the same thing over and over again. but he does it in a clever enough way you can't actually then lock him up and under what is sexua like, two 40.3 which is a threat, second-degree fennel felon harassment it doesn't work that way so, he is clever enough to use the right to language, but h is not smart enough not to d it in the first place.

indictment now, you've known trump fo years. what do you say about that and what do you expect >> i say that that is part o the greatest trump grift tha has been going on literall since the day he left the whit house. but i don't believe that the he actually raised $4 million. >> oh you don't? >> i do not. i believe that what he's doing is he saying, oh my go somebody people have sent mone into donald, why by not doin it i don't think they are doing nearly as well as he says. it is also to show that he has so much support. it reminds me so much of whe he refused to debate the secon debate they claim that he raised $6 million for veterans he did not raise $6 million fo batons and, more importantly, if it wasn't for the media getting involved and say, well maybe you can tell us. who did you give the money to? because he raised the money fo veterans well, now all decided they had to start scrambling for whic institutions, or which five of one c3's, charitable organizations they were goin

the election in which donald trump was elected was a clos one. hillary clinton won i gues almost 3 million more vote than he did. the electoral college wa close. had this information come ou before the election, it is entirely possible that a few thousand votes in a couple o states might have switched and he might not have won th election so, as we assess how serious a case this is, and ho significant cases, we should not lose sight of that fact. but, to have a more detailed conversation about the strengt of the indictment, propriety o the indictment, i think we actually have to see the indictment itself. >> one of the most troubling yet predictable developments t come out of this indictment, donald trump's allies in the so-called law and order part taking their cues from the former president are targeting alvin bragg along enforcemen official for doing his job house gop chairs have been trying to pressure brag to tur

came out of the federal suprem court that overturned roe v. wade, what went into place was in 1849 law. an 1849 law when women could not vote people meeting that could no vote, in 1849 law that outlawe abortion so the question that the supreme court hazardous to decide is, does that 1849 la still valid. they're also going to have t look at the gerrymandering tha was done by the prio administration in the 2011 cycle. whether or not tha gerrymandering there was done, and which is still in effect is in fact constitutional. my guess would be that the cas would come before the suprem court that, wisconsin suprem court to decide that there's a whole range of issue that would come before tha supreme court in wisconsin tha matter to the people o wisconsin. but beyond that, this is a election between a competent impartial, and fair judge, janet pull salah which, wh

democrat of alabama. he is now a distinguishe fellow at the center for american progress. i should also mention he is th former u.s. attorney for the state of alabama and, former congressman carlos curbelo, republican of florida welcome to you both. doug, let's start with the trump indictments. as a former prosecutor, what are your thoughts on that case and the bravery of manhattan d alvin bragg to follow throug on this investigation in the face of tremendous pressure? >> well, you know, at roberdel i think you have to understand that there is a lot going on here and i expect that alvin bragg' has done a lot of homework o this he is look at these facts very closely. he has determined that the bes way to go. he is going to face a barrag of motions to dismiss and othe things and i am sure that he is going to be prepared to meet these we will see how it turns out but i'm sure he has done his

homework to greet the moment >> carlos, a lot of republican have defended trump since we have learned about the indictments. but i want to talk about thi tweet from the governor of you home store state of florida. ron desantis hits on all the usual talking points about weaponization of the legal system and george soros. but, he also goes out of his way to say florida would not assist in any extraditio requests the thing is, rags offers wa already in contact with trump' lawyer about a surrender plan. and there was no serious suggestive extradition whatever takes place her hearing your thoughts when you hear this, that already starte negotiating for the surrender. and desantis comes, out i will not extradite donald trump what is going on here? >> well, reverend, this is a

reminder of the trump trappe that every single republican faces. ron desantis is a man who ha been under assault by donald trump. donald trump has been travelin all over the country, bashin him in a very public and in very aggressive way. yet, ron desantis still feel compelled to check the box wit the trump base to defend donal trump and to try to get back into great great good graces with that. because he has had a difficult last few weeks so, despite the fact tha desantis has been the object o trump's criticisms, because of the power and the strength o trump's. basically because of the fea that republicans have when the look at trump's base, he fel compelled to come out and issu this defense of trump that, as you said, wasn't reall relevant >> doug, keep that prosecutors hat on for a moment. former president trump is also being investigated by fulton county georgia prosecutors for a possible 2020 election
