>> really happy to have yo here at 10:13 am today, 10:1 a.m., exactly, kids in nashville tennessee all walked out of their classes look at that 10:13 is when the first 9-1- calls started coming into th police department when we coul go today one week last week when th shooting unfolded at the covenant school. an elementary school in that city police today said that in th roughly 14 minutes that it too for that school shooting t relapse, the shooter fired 126 rifle rounds and 26 rounds fro a handgun. hundred and 52 rounds al together in 14 minutes to honor the three little kids and the three school staff who were murdered in their school,

monday last week, and to deman legal change to stop gun violence, literally thousand of tennessee students walked out of their classes today and in some schools, they left their classrooms and the rallied outside their school that opened in a whole bunch o different schools in tennessee at some schools today, they sa a walk in instead of a walkout meaning they left class bu then they came together in the school auditorium to talk abou the problem. but by the thousands, what students did today in tennesse was they went to this tennesse state capital, in nashville. look at these images this is tonight. you might have seen in the new last week that thursday last week, a lot of kids an nashville did the same last, week tennessee kid crowded into the galleries overlooking the state hous floor, calling for gun reforms that was thursday last week. today, they rallied on the state capital steps in

nashville. and then in huge numbers, they lined up, they went throug security, and they just poured into the hallways of the state capital. at one point, mounting a sor of sit in the -- outside the offices of the republican house speaker the same house speaker today stripped to democratic legislators of their committee assignments, and threatened to expel three democratic state legislatures from the stat legislature altogether threatening to throw them ou of the state legislature because those three democratic state legislatures wanted to join the kids who protested in the galleries last week. tonight, those kids are back a the state capital and joinin them are apparently a bunch of parents who have their littl kids in tow with them. and apparently, they are planning to stay through thi evening's legislative sessions in nashville, at the state capitol in tennessee, we are keeping eyes on nashvill tonight as that story continue

to unfold. just remarkable images today out of tennessee meanwhile today, the republica governor of florida made a sor of telling decision, to do thi behind closed doors. today, rhonda scientist signed a law new law legislation in florida and he did in th session that was close to th public only the nra was invited another pro gun lobbyist no one else knew about it. but the bill that he signe there with the nra behin closed doors - now make it legal in florida for anybody to carry a concealed loaded weapon with n permit, no training, n background check no license. so if you're in florida an your breathing, feel free to put a loaded gun in your pants and take it wherever you want. new law sidon to effect toda by ron desantis. interesting that ron desanti chose to do this signing without the public invited
9:05 pm
without anybody even notifie in advance that he was doing it it was just him in the gun lobbyists behind closed doors. that said, that some governor, ron desantis, got a politica gift today from his bigges supposed political rival whether or not you reall wanted to see the moment b moment oj stimson style, bronc on the freeway coverage of former president trump leaving his house in florida and going to the airport, and then leaving the airport in new yor and going to his house in ne york, whether or not you wante to see the moment by momen motorcade coverage of that today, tracking the progress o him like he's santa, and we're all more ad tracking the progress of him today. so you can see him leave florida and go to new york s he can be arraigned tomorrow whether or not you really want to see that moment by moment coverage today, the fact i
9:06 pm
that donald trump did leave hi house in florida today in orde to be on time for hi arraignment here in new york tomorrow >> however excited you wer excited to see the coverage or not, one thing that means, a least one thing it appears t mean for sure is that former president trump is apparentl not going to hide out in florida and refused to surrender himself fo arraignment. i say this as a gift a political gift to florid republican governor ro desantis because you may recal that last week governo desantis caught up at hi proverbial high legs and said, as florida's governor, he woul refused to participate in an expedition proceedings to ge trump from florida to new york that remarkable statement from florida governor ron desanti last week actually raised th prospect that trump migh refuse to turn himself in. that he might try to barricade
9:07 pm
himself, somehow stay in florida and initiate some kind of standoff where he's darin law enforcement to come get hi at his florida home whil florida's governor tells florida law enforcement not to help arrest trim nobody quite knew how that would go if trump actually tried to pull that off especially because that's fantastically unconstitutional thing for ron desantis to have pledged to do on trump's behalf but trump saved him from havin to put his money where his mouth is trump today saved rhonda santa from having to show what h actually meant by that whe today he flew his big plan from florida to new york conceding in effect that h will be arrested tomorrow an that he will not fight it. so the florida law enforcement standoff over trump bein extradited, that's not going t happen which is good news for the country. the prospect of that happening
9:08 pm
taught us that florida's republican governor is happy t promise to defy th constitution in order to hel trump. that's good to know. he said he would do, it we hav to assume that he would try it but in the end, today we learned that he wouldn't hav to prove it. the other thing that appears t be sort of happening now, th other unknown of the start o this process that is now becoming known is what had bee a very open question as to how trump supporters would respond to the arrest and indictment o the former president you might remember what trum first said when he announced t the country that he believed h would be indicted and arrested do you remember what is fo statement was? he had a declarative demand to his supporters he said protest. take our nation back we must save america protest, protest, protest!
9:09 pm
you know what didn't happen? that didn't happen and that was a couple of weeks ago now. when trump first said that h would be arrested. he demanded that his supporter get out in the streets, that they protest and response to the threat to arrest him that did not happen. nobody protested and you could say, maybe that' because trump was wrong abou when he was going to b indicted, when he was going to be arrested. he wasn't in fact arrested tha tuesday when he said he wa going to be. so maybe that's why th protests didn't emerge that day that he said he was going to be arrested, in fac passed without him being indicted or arrested but then last week, the da happened we learned late in the day o thursday that trump had been indicted and trump's lawyers confirmed that he had been indicted in the da's office in new york confirmed that he had been indicted. and then we learned that tomorrow, tuesday, he will b arrested he will be arraigned but still, nobody really protested.
9:10 pm
a handful of people showed u and waved flags or whatever ha mar-a-lago but it wasn't anything tha constituted an event by an stretch of the imagination i mean we've had headline, after headline, after headline after headline saying that everybody is bracing for mas protests by trump supporters but it's not happening at least thus far it is no happening. and that itself is a interesting political fact, now, that's an interesting politica known outcome here he specifically called on hi supporters to come out and protest on his behalf, to save america, to protest, protest protest. the new york times specificall reporting of the weekend on plant in new york city homecoming protest on trump' behalf at trump tower this morning, monday morning in new york city. but whatever the new york time was expecting in terms of th trump homecoming protests th trump tower, it was like three
9:11 pm
people i mean, this was the headlin in politico yesterday. loan maga supporter awaits trump in new york. and that's not hyperbole the story was basically profile on the one guy, th single guy who turned up a trump tower to support trump yesterday. and then today, the bi homecoming protest in suppor of donald trump. this was the headline in new york magazine today. trump supporters in manhatta are outnumbered by reporters here's the lead of that story. one south brooklyn residents who sells micah merch an medical software for a living, had organized a homecoming for the former president head of his arraignment morrow he was hoping for strong turnout. roger stone after all ha amplified his rall announcement but just a handful o supporters actually showed up. >> i mean, it's one thing fo people to not come out and protest in support of you.
9:12 pm
it's one thing for people to not come out and protest i your defense but when yo specifically asked them to when you in fact command the to and they don't, what does that say about you i mean, trump last years sai if any prosecutor indicted him the united states would have quote, the biggest protest w have ever had. he said in washington d.c., ne york, and atlanta and elsewhere, we are going to have in this country at the biggest protest we have ever had he said in january last year that would be the result of an indictment of him in any o those jurisdictions. in september, he said it again he was asked if he would b indicted he said in response, think if i happened, you'd hav problems in this country lik you've never seen before i don't think the people o united states would stand fo it now we know. the people of united states ar standing for it, turns out and you know, we will see what
9:13 pm
tomorrow's like. we will see whether there is a massive millions of people fil the streets pro trump protests on the streets of manhatta tomorrow maybe there will be, who knows but he asked people to protest protest, protest in response t news of his indictment and s far, his request, his demands, his certain predictions that people would turn to the streets in record numbers on his behalf, numbers never seen before, people protestin against his indictment i numbers we have never before seen in america. so far his people are not doin what he told them to do an what he confidently said the would do but who knows. who knows. we will see what happens tomorrow and, like we've been reporting on the show like i've been trying to sort of convey i terms of my perception of ho this is going to go, there's still lots to come this is the start of a legal

process which, if it goe terribly for him will likely and with him being fined for something that his lawye already went to prison for it's going to take a long time new york court proceedings always take a long time. new york court proceedings i white collar crime brought b very litigious guys is going t take forever it's got to take a long time and even in the short term it's gonna be a lot of motions it's going to be a lot of lega these and it's actually goin to be mixed up with a lot of other legal processes. here we are at the beginning o april, what's trump's mont going to look like this week, he's a new york t be arraigned and arreste tomorrow next week, he has to be in new york again to be deposed in th court of billion dollar civi fraud suit that the new york attorney general has brought against him and his adul children the week after that i when the fox dominion case i supposed to go to trial if the
9:15 pm
disclosures thus far in that trial or anything to go by that will mean among other things lots more headlines about the most influential right-wing media figures in th country secretly hating trump' guts and telling people behind the scenes when nobody i watching how dumb and terrible and wrong trump's. they will be a nice week for him. then the week after that, th e. jean carroll case goes to trial in which is a accused of raping e. jean carroll and lying about. it that's what it looks like o his calendar that's what the next four week i like for him in his calendar. so who knows maybe one of those things will be a flash point maybe at some point this month 1 million americans will flood the streets of new yor cheering his name and burnin cars or something. but so far there's no sign o anything like that despite his confident predictions that tha is what his supporters would do. when he does get arraigned tomorrow mid afternoon, hi indictment will be unsealed by the judge he was overseeing hi case
9:16 pm
he should know that that judge is also the same judge who's overseeing the steve bannon in criminal fraud case. that is also the same judge wh just oversaw the trump busines criminal fraud case. trump organization crimina fraud case which ended a few months ago was convictions o all counts the judge having a hand in bot of those things is a goo reminder that trump' indictment doesn't exactly com out of the blue here his business was just convicte on multiple felony fraud counts his accountant is a convicte felon who right now is i prison his campaign chairman is convicted felon. his deputy campaign chairman i a convicted felon. his longest term political and advisor is a felon his ceo and -- before the same judge that trump is about to get a rain before his national can - his personal lawyer is a convicted felon who in fac went to federal prison for the criminal scheme that we believ trump him self is about to finally be charged for
9:17 pm
tomorrow it's all like this came out of the blue and while we're on the subject of this judge, you should know that the judge who's going t be handling this trump case no only handled the trump busines ruckus and is not only currently handling the steve bannon front case, this judg also has the perfect resume fo this case in particular becaus before he became the judge, do you know what his previous job was? >> his previous taught befor he became a judge was workin as an auditor at a real estate development firm it is believed that thes charges against trump are abou falsification of busines records at trump's real estate development firm it is a little bit on the nose that falsification of business records at a real estate development firm is a case tha is going to be heard before judge who used to audi business records uttering th state development firm but

that's the way this way that's the way this month is going fo donald trump, it's like this case was put together in the lab. but there's a lot going on yes, that arraignment an arrest of the former president will happen tomorrow in ne york simultaneously, for what it' worth. finland will be joining nato tomorrow which means that if russia invaded ukraine as some sort of message to vladimi putin was going to push back nato, what he's actually reaping from his ukrainian invasion is the opposite o that when finland joins nat tomorrow, the length of th border between russia and nato will double. also, tomorrow will have a hugely important election in the great american state o wisconsin. the most important, likely the most consequential election th whole of the united states for 2023 we will have more on tha coming up in just a moment plus tonight, here on the show
