the fda approval o mifepristone, the agency deems safe and effective to terminat pregnancy. this is something where we nea the texas case was coming down the pike, everybody here was watching for that. but then the opposing an contradictory ruling out o washington's day is what makes this a little more complicated from a legal perspective, as you well know. so, the biden ministration either way says they'r pledging to fight the ruling that of course would move to ban this drug. although, right now, it is still available, and it is not a nationwide ban that is why the judge in texas gave the department of justice for instance, time to appeal that's exactly what they notified they are going to do. now, a process has to play out where this likely of cours goes to the conservative fifth circuit in the matter of texas depending on what happens in the washington case, if that's appealed and then, whatever those two circuits end up ruling and deciding, if those are

conflicting, for instance, that's right deference eithe scope to the supreme court and where they could say, we hav to hear the case based on th merits, if there were differen opinions there but at the same time, th department of justice and th federal government could still file an emergency appeal and kick this up to the suprem court, asking them to weigh in sooner than that that's one possibility, whil still trying to get this blocked by the fifth circuit so, a couple of differen strategies here that could pla out, certainly discussions thi weekend about how they want to move forward but the vice president, ha really been the leading voic on this issue for th administration spoke out o friday as this news wa happening. she called this an incredibl dangerous precedent, in he words, and president biden issued a statement shortly after that saying essentiall that this means that any kin of prescription, not just this when we're talking about, coul be subject, he said, to thes political and ideologica attacks when we're talking

certainly me, he stood unaided during much of mass. and then he also stood when he delivered his message to the city and the world he both sat and stood. that is one measure of his health he has this chronic knee problem that has forced him to use a wheelchair and when he walks sometimes to use a cane. his voice sounded very strong. and this was just a little mor than, let's say, 12 hours afte a very long easter vigil mas saturday night he coughed somewhat during his message to the city and th world. but that is to be expected, as he was just a week ago spendin three days in the hospital for bronchitis overall, it is a very strong performance. and i was in the crowd when th pope mobile went through st. peters square. you heard in various languages people saying, we love you, we love you, papa, hope and it was a very warm welcome

judge boasberg, the chief judg in d.c., his opinion because it is really interesting. he said mike pence must appear before the grand jury an testify about includin everything in the run up t january 6th. but he can declined to testify about what he did on january six because perhaps he has som speech or debate claus privilege in the fleeting time that he was presiding over the senate and, you know, openin the envelope,'s counting up th electoral college votes. that is not much of a victory. that is not where the danger lies, regarding the evidence mike pence can provide about donald trump i think it was a legally sound ruling and a pretty savv ruling because it feels like judge boasberg took away a possible avenue of appeal fo mike pence
