this week. there is really a growin feeling that the will of voter across the country, especially when we talk about young voters, is being ignored by lawmakers. let's look at abortion first in march, you had a national poll of registered voters. it found that women oppose tha decision by better than -- 2 to 1 for women under 30, th opposition was even more pronounced state by state, we are seein the state legislatures i don't have to tell, you know what's going on. chipping away at women's right to make decisions about our ow bodies so where is the disconnect do they think this is a winnin issue? >> i think you're right, simone thank you for having me. what we are seeing is a tax on our democracy. we have to face the fact tha abortion rights and gun control, and action on gun control, a well as threats on votin rights are all tied together i a single government destiny. there are threats to our democracy. these are authoritarian tactic that are being used in our country and through stat

with gun safety legislation, they have been tracking youn people for years and in that particular poll, they found that 63% of young americans support stricter gun safety legislation but then, we look at tennessee where the governor, again, the governor of tennessee has made the executive order, and tha is significant the state legislature has ye to move. april, i just spoke to a state representative and he is talking about what they're going to do on thursday. i know you've been talking t folks down in tennessee as well >> yes, i talk to the senate minority leader and she said look, republicans are so upset about all this they have now, instead o having a full month session, 3 days left, they are no cramming accession into a week they've got a week left. they are going to end on saturday, but now they'r ending on friday meaning that the only thin that they think they are going to get through is the stat budget
