12:08 pm
frustrating. i can remember sitting in speaker boehner's office and watching some of these spending fights going down. the difference here is that members on the republican party should want to win. they should want to expand the majority. matt gaetz wants to do is keep a small sliver of the majority so he maintains a semblance of power that he has to hold things hostage. i think that should be pretty telling to the american public about what his priorities are. >> maura gillespie, like you so much. appreciate it. coming up later on this hour, democratic congresswoman mary gay scanlon and joins me with the very latest she's hearing about the potential shutdown, and whether she and other democrats as well are willing to help republicans out if it comes to that. negotiations today in the standoff between the wga and the major film and television studios, this as a a deal to end the strike appears very close. 146 day strike has essentially halted all new production in the film and television business. we want to give -- following this for us.
