>> historic hearing. the nation's highest court takes up a high stakes debate over health care reform. in smoke. it was a dynamite deep six for the former home of the orlando magic. and a titanic achievement. film director james cameron journeys to the very bottom of the ocean. those stories and much more straight ahead. this is "first look" on msnbc. we begin this morning with a supreme show down. the justices of the u.s. supreme court take up the constitutionality of president obama's sweeping heathcare reform law. it's a decision that will have a broad back on america's health care system.

brian, good morning to you. >> reporter: hi, veronica. the health care law was sweeping in its scope and so is the challenge before the high court. from the moment president obama signed his signature, health care reform law, this day was inevitable. now it's time for the supreme court to scrutinize the most sweeping legislation in a nation. citizens have been waiting outside the high court for days. many are hoping to catch a glimpse of an extraordinary three days of arguments destined to make history. >> for this mother, the fight is personal. >> it's related to religious freedoms and religious rights in america. >> at the core of this case, can congress force every american to pay for health care? 26 states are qa'inging the law, including georgia.
