school, and this morning one of her students just 14 years old is held for her killing. we have the story from massachusetts. >> at the high school an outpouring of support and emotion. students coming together to mourn a young teacher, 24-year-old colleen witnesseser. >> she was also making everybody else's day better than hers, whether she was happy or not she was always up lifting to all the students there. >> it happened tuesday night, one of her students is charged with murder. chism moved here earlier from tennessee, and he was on the soccer team. >> he just seemed normal. >> if police know why she was killed, they are not saying just

on to other stories making news this morning. london police released video of a brutal attack on a student from florida. that attack left the 22-year-old with stars on his face and head. the reason for the senseless violence? police believe he was attacked because he was not a local. the man who used the internet to confess to killing somebody while drunk driving was sentenced to 6 1/2 years to prison, and there is no chance for early relief. a bizarre incident at the capitol. a man demands to see the supreme court. officers ultimately had to tackle him down after a taser proved unsuccessful. he could face charges. and then a remote controlled

helicopter, and you can see people running for their lives. the phantom mennious bears down on them. mitt romney's new house has a secret. we'll tell you what it is, and the best political buzz of the morning is just ahead. getting a home loan might be getting a little easier. the average credit score for a closed home loan fell 18 points from a year ago. and the average down payment is about 19% of a home's value and that's compared to 22% a year ago. christmas, of course, just around the corner, and target is getting ready. the retailer announced this week it's rolling out a service that let's you order online and pick up the products in the store. and boeing's iconic 747 may be on the way out.

talking about, richard lui and bill karins. >> this is a study that has been done for about five years about kids in the united states age 4 to 14 done by highlights, and that's a magazine. they survey the kids. they got about 1,400 of them to respond to the survey. what they found is that 77% of kids in the united states believe the u.s. is the best country in the world. however, look down to the second bullet there -- third, rather. 68% of kids believe it's safer to be a kid today than when their parents were kids -- >> well, that's good. >> on the flip side, 1 in 2 feel it's safer to play inside rather than outside. >> i think that's accurate. aren't you safer in your house. >> yeah, safer to be sitting there in front of your xbox. >> i think kids in any country
