hello and welcome to press tv spotlight, i'm marza hashimi, thanks so much for being with us. well, as palestinians continue to be killed in gaza by the israeli regime, organizations continue to meet to debate on how or if to stop the genocide. millions of others have become aware of a different reality as these murders take place in real time, and people are on the streets protesting and... taking actions against the zionist regime and its backers, and the resistance has cranked up its attacks on the zionist regime. the world seems to be in the middle of a shift. well, stay with us as we take a look at this on the spotlight. like to introduce my guests to the program. shabir resby, political analys out of london. and
10:06 pm
don debor, activist and commentator out of new york, thank you both for being with me, well let's start it off with shabir in london, i mean did you think that the world would still be watching this genocide and not stopping it almost two and a half months of after it started? h good evening, thanks for the invitation, firstly condolences to all the marters family. in gaza, the west bank and lebnon, plus also our supplications and prayers for those who have survived and are in you know bad bad shape at this moment. look, the question is really quite pertinent that we are almost 90 days, as you said two and a half months, very close to 90 days of this brutal, barbaric and really barren. of
10:07 pm
any humanity that this particular conflict has sort of progressed, and the reality is that on the one hand you've got israel and the... entity and sponsors in washington and london, paris and the european union, which are really allowing this genocide to take place in front of our eyes in real time, which is quite sort of unique in many senses, that even two years ago when the zionist entity did a similar thing on gaza, it didn't become such a sort of noisy, not, sort of had, perhaps, if you like, the impact that it is having now, so it's become very clearly that the politicians, the leadership and the legacy media in the west, the collective west are continuing to spout the same nonsense
10:08 pm
which is promoted by tel aviv, because they have a particular notion called hizbara, which is to sort of tell lies continuously, so that people get very confused, but with the grace of almighty, the veil has been removed, and it is becoming very clear that people are not buying the lies, whatever the lies that are promoted by the zionist entity and his military are being debunked very quickly within 24 hours by social media activists if you like who are unpaid, whilst on the other hand the social media activist. are play paid enormously by the zionist regime, plus also, as i said, they have the legacy media, which continuously support, and when the uh sort of the spokespersons of the zionist entity, whether the zionist entities
10:09 pm
ambassador in london, who only two days ago said that there is only one state solution, so really i think the world is coming round to thinking that the two state solution. just illusion and it has just a talking point rather than sort of creating a situation which is peaceful for people living in that part of west asia. okay, say with me, let me get done in on this conversation, don't, there two distinct polls, those who support genocide and those who are against it. mean, how do you see this this current situation playing itself out? especially when we look at it, you are an activist when you look... had it from that perspective and what's happening in the world? the first problem that we have in that situation is uh defining who's the who here when you say those who support and those who don't, who are we talking about? we're talking about governments, that's one thing, and if we're
10:10 pm
talking about the people upon which those governments rest in one fashion or another, that's something else. presumably those making policy at the government level know exactly what's going on. and with some familiarity with the terminology, the term particularly genocide, understand that there is a genocide going on. um, for the bulk of people, particularly in the west, say in the 10 countries that voted against the uh general assembly resolution this past week uh calling for a ceasefire, uh, first of all, they don't have the requisite background, historical background to understand what they're looking at, very few people know. palestine here uh palestine existed uh palestine in essence was uh settled in the same way that the americans were settled and large parts of africa and asia were settled quote unquote at gunpoint by europeans and
10:11 pm
then those settlements gradually consumed uh you know the indigenous populations and indigenous the cities towns you know whatever constructs existed there so they don't know that prior to october 7th, which for some reason joe biden said twice a week or so ago was 65 years ago, before october 7th of this year, that this whole history of the murder and expulsion of the palestinian people had taken place, and the what you saw on october 7th was a response, very belated response to that condition, and so when they see uh people being murdered and mass on television, some people still think that this is the... punishment for the evil crime that was committed october 7th instead of seeing it as a part of pattern that's been ongoing for let me just jump in here mean i understand what you're saying um but it is actually quite remarkable isn't it when you're saying that there are some people that see that it's the punishment when they're seeing all of these
10:12 pm
kids let's just talk about the infants the babies the children who are being slaughtered how can they see that as being right? this is this is where the hasbur was being exploded and this is the same thing that happened during vietnam by the way with the media, yes, there was a whole fable that was constructed to justify the carpet bombing of this. country of in essence peasants back in the in the 1950s, 60s and 70s, and what happened after a while was the raw brutality of it on television was seen by people whose natural response to it was revulsion right, and people seeing that now, and although they don't know the history, and although they don't know the politics or anything else, they know that this is terribly wrong, and they see the logos on the airplanes and they hear the conversation now over the... fact that the us is funding this and they're reacting to it, and so they may not have a theoretical framework for understanding it,
10:13 pm
but their humanity understands it when they see it, and this is where this battle is going to end up being lost by this this construct that calls itself the state of israel. right, right. well, shabir, how is it that their foreign mercenaries on the ground helping the regime against the palestinian people? mean, let's let's look at it too. mean, this is a regime that gets the most. icated weapons and has the latest technology uh given to them and yet they really seem not to be able to uh do what they claim they want to do and need the help of foreign mercenaries also we hear american generals or actually um giving advising them i mean your assessment of this but look foreign merceries have always operated in any sort of... war theater and we remember just in ukraine how
10:14 pm
many mercenaries were fighting on the side of ukraine, because obviously ukraine wasn't able to sort of uh continue its activities under the you now uh after the special military operation there, so the mercenaries which are operating in gaza and and israel, look, the issue with the zinis entity has been that it has created this illusion in the minds of the people that it's a superb army, fourth largest army or whatever, you technologically it has immense sort of resources, but what this event on 7th of october showed that this particular army which was sort of frightening the people in west asia can no longer frighten them because ' i'm not a military analyst but better analyst than myself over the last two and a
10:15 pm
half months have been saying that this has been a classic operation conducted by the access of resistance in palestine, therefore this sort of nonsense of israel, designist entity being a super army that has been completely blown out of proportion, therefore it needs foreign mercenaries there. "it needs american advisors, but the reality is that they may do whatever they want, but i think the clear message coming from the resistance, axis of resistance is that they have survived for the last two and a half months and rockets are still being fired from gaza into the occupied territories towns, so that shows that the first sort of..." point that has been on the agenda of mr. netanyahu is to eradicate hamas, but again, it's not hamas,
10:16 pm
it's the you know axis of resistance, there are lots of other groups which are involved in this particular activity, therefore they are not able to do that, they cannot eradicate an ideology, a belief system and also people who are fighting for their dignity and their land, which has been occupied for the last '75 years, so you know whatever vicious acts that are committed during this particular sort of period, it will show clearly that the axes of resistance will come out more stronger and uh even victorious if you like, okay, what about that done? let's talk about that resistance, the access of resistance um on the ground what's taking place in gaza, yeah'. "tens of thousands of lives have been taken and they've been murdered by the regime, but
10:17 pm
again from a military perspective uh the regime really has not been successful and the resistance on the other hand is uh really um doing what they can and being very effective um in stopping the zianists from going forward in destroying lot of the weapons and also in in killing lot of the zinis'. to level and did pretty much level at least the northern you the part of the country that have been liberated um for you over a period certainly from 1963 1964 until 1973 you couple million people killed millions of people wounded and housing destroyed all these things that were the product of modern
10:18 pm
technology and modern warfare etc etc and yet the people who lived in that land and who owned it and knew there's been an occupation for 75 years, there's been an attack really for hundred years, a military warfare carried up. against the palestinian people by europeans and americans basically, and the people have been resisting and will resist, even if you kill them all. if you look at, the people that call themselves jews in palestine now, um, many of them are actually europeans who adopted judaism, so even if you had exterminated the original jews, there were
10:19 pm
jews that would come back and avenge them, and the same thing will happen with palestinians, i may end up or my great grandchildren may end up being... palestinians even though we're not genetically that, because this happened and it has to be remedied. you cannot kill people, they won't die. right, well shabir, when the us and uk and uh these uh several western regimes are so for so firm in their support of this genocidal regime, doesn't it not only show that uh they not just they support the genocide, but they are part of it. that this genocide could not be taking place without them? well, look, britain uh, country where i'm sitting here in london, was really the prime mover under the balfer declaration in 1917, which really started the whole sort of activity of creating the zionist entity and the colonial base for the
10:20 pm
europeans in west asia, so one can sort of... talk about america's us support and washington support at this moment, but really we are responsible, britain is responsible more than any other country for creating this particular entity uh by writing that letter, perhaps another letter can be written by our current prime minister or someone in the regime here saying that you know the zionist entity will no longer exist, and there people... who are the actual inhabitants of that part of of west asia, between the river and the sea, palestinians, jews, arabs, muslims, christians who are the original native, the indigenous people, not the one million russian jews who are there or one million ukrainian jews who are living in
10:21 pm
israel and many other first generation jews imported from new york, london and paris, they are not the original indigenous population, those who are really the natives of that land will have the final say that who should have that country, so letter could be drafted in 2023 by someone in the administration here in london to sort of overturn the evil that london created, yeah that would be wonderful, that would definitely be wonderful, wouldn't it shabir, we we hope we can see such letter. it could have such an effect, well done, inside of the regime itself, the israelis are angry at benjamin netanyahu, um, for not arranging a prisoner swap, there have been protests that are growing, supposed to be a large demonstration today, i mean, your assessment the current overall situation inside of the zianist regime? i think first of all, one of
10:22 pm
the most telling things and and it it shows uh particularly people inside israel uh... but but around the world, the true nature of netanyahu's government, is the revelation that, the admission yesterday, i think or today, be friday or saturday, um, that the idf murdered, shot, killed, destroyed, blew up, uh, three of the hostages that they're claiming to be either revenging or rescuing with with this genocidal attack for the last 90 days on gaza, look, when you have a government that's a tool of international imperialism, that runs a state whose purpose is in in essence to stabilize imperialism and the resources net part of the world um and that is willing to do anything including commit genocide to further that, they don't treat their own people much better, okay, and their own people understand that from time to time when their privileges are swept out of
10:23 pm
the way in favor of some urgent need of the people who are running the puppet show, and i think the people of the state of israel who are considered israelis or citizens, are the most privileged of the people in that particular construct are feeling the brunt of this, like the families of those who were murdered by the... idf and and the families of others inside of of the country who are dealing with a horror show right now instead of normal life to the extent you can have normal life an occupation place because these people have been reaching into the lives of palestinians so deeply that it provokes a response as natural response right well shabir um as western regimes crank up their support for the zionis um they're trying. to pass various laws to prevent pro-palestinian activists from protesting in various ways, from wearing the caafilla to saying from the river to the sea, palestine will be free, is
10:24 pm
being demonized in some places. i mean, let's talk a little bit about these repressive measures and and where this is going. well, of course, you may recall only few weeks ago when our last home secretary here, uh, suela breverman, uh, said the that these were hate. marches and of course river to the sea, but you if you look at what mr. nethaniahu was showing at the united nations just few months ago, that between river to the sea is is is a jewish state, it's a zion state, therefore uh, the regime in tel aviv also wants to eradicate uh the the palestinians living between the river and the sea, but what the people... to sort of articulate this particular message river to the sea is not really to eradicate the jews living there to
10:25 pm
get rid of the zionist regime which is really the fountain of terrorism and this is becoming very clear in the last 90 or days and and and the issue that you talked about you sort of governments in the west trying to pass laws i like to bring back the the vietnam sort of situation as friend was talking from the usa and you remember very well merzia that in a kent university incident that took place where the american army shot american students at kent university who were supporting uh the end of war, end of vietnam war, so the regimes in washington and london and paris will pass all kinds of laws and may even kill their own people if they sort of... what they want to do is not allowed to continue okay, sorry to interrupt you, but i only have a minute left, want to get done in on this, stay with me, let me just get done in this last uh minute,
10:26 pm
mean don, do you think that there's a global change on the horizon as more and more people become aware of exactly what's going on, not only with the zinanis regime, but also these western countries, these western regimes where they live um and this facade is is being seen through? yeah, it's a very dangerous time. this is a time pretty much, it looks like a time of epical change of epocal change, in other words, from one style of life for humanity to another. um, and we have two competing things racing, basically, the need for that awareness to blossom and and to include methodology for for managing healthy change for humanity to put an end to this kind of craziness, um, as against the appetite, the racious appetite of the beast that needs to be put to bed trying eat everything that it can before bedtime, and other words, we have to try to save humanity
10:27 pm
before they destroy it, and and the two things are are both urgent. all right, and on that note, thank you both for being with me, shabir razvy, political analyst out of london, donte bar, commentator and activist out of new york, and thank you viewers for staying with us on another spotlight, i'm marsia hashim, i hope to see you. right here next time, goodbye.

gates says the targeted gathering israeli soldiers in betlahia killing a number of trips.assam snipers also killed three israeli soldiers and sheikh razwan neighborhood while two other regime forces were killed in zeitoon district south of gaza city. hundreds of israelies have held a protest in tel aviv demanding that the regime make efforts to release captives being held by hamas. the protesters blamed prime minister benjamin netanyahu for the killing of three of the captives on friday. the trial was killed by the regime's own invading troops.
