to build settlements and even to have certain strongholds for settlers and without even going back to the cabinet and the third issue is what he is talking about, this ben gafir is that they يزيد عدد العربيه الى مليون اضافي عدد المستوطنين الان 83000s and add a million settlers within the west bank in order to see that there would be very strong society for them, that this plot is very dangerous for them, and this is the policy that he is talking about, this comes in the context of terrorism and attempt to break the will. of of resistance and the
1:03 pm
spirit of resistance in the west bank, but i say also and tell all the leaders of this of cabinet and this entity that do not bend the arm of the resistance, you will not, you will not be capable of breaking the world of the palestinian people, these palestinian people can overcome everything that you are planning, everything that you are planning. bin gaffir will go to the trashbins of history, the palestinian people have always defeated such personalities, and the palestinian resistance had always also taken down cabinets and big leaders of the israelis, they will not be able to do anything against the palestinian people, what they are attempting, and they are only trying to come out of this crisis that they are living to. including this so-called strength,
1:04 pm
they cannot even deal with this town which is called gin and they cannot deal, how can they deal then with gaza, which is the main supportive ground of the resistance, how could they deal with lebanon? this is a crisis, this is a main crisis, for they attempted everything, they tried assassinations, they tried bending the the arms, they tried wars, they tried f-16s, they've tried. attempting coming to lebanon, they failed, they have nothing now, no option which is only to not exist anymore, which is only to be in a state of annihilation, there is nothing left for them, even when they in build so many settler settlements, their decision to build more settlements, we have the decision to destroy these settlements every time they call on, adding building more
1:05 pm
settlements in the west bank than our decision would be to target every settlement in the west bank, this the palestinian people, are people who are dignified, there are people who are deeply rooted in this land in resistance, and since the alburaq revolution in 1917 until today we for more than 100 years nothing has changed and the people of palestine have... have been broken million prisoners for the palestinian people, thousands of marters, the palestinian people of continue fase after phase, generation after generation, and the resistance continues, they assassinated very big leaders, they assassinated sheikh ahmad yasin,
1:06 pm
stop their resistance, no, there were many leaders that were born, new leaders were born, but they could not change the movement of history or the identity of the land or the holiness of this place of this land. is the cause of the entire nation, all the muslim nation together, and this is why imam there was a quds day, because this is something that is a uniting issue. al-quds is also for of the free people of the world, it is for the christians of the world, the free christians of the world and the muslims of the world, it has also the church of resurrection, it has the also a land which is known for christ, we

appreciate you coming here uh visiting us here at the press tv studios and thanks so much for this interview. thank you very much. it was a pleasure. well that... brings us to the end of this special interview that we had with esmal hania, head of the political bureau of the palestinian resistance moven hamas, you can watch the repeats of the interview on our website pressv.ir. until the next face to face, i'm this goodbye.
1:08 pm
"the former political bureau chief of the palestinian resistance movement, hamas, was born in a refugee camp near gaza city in january 29th, 1962. he joined the resistance movement in the late 1980s during the first entefada, as the movement gradually grew powerful, hanyor rose through the ranks,
1:09 pm
being appointed part of the group's collective leadership in 2004. hania was appointed palestinian prime minister in 2006 after hamas won the most..." seats in the national palestinian elections held in the same year, by 2017 he had become the head of the hamas resistance movement. hania left the beseged gaza strip in 2019 and lived in exile in qatar. over the years, he participated in peace talks with different world leaders. during the ongoing israeli genocidal war in gaza, he has spared no efforts to cleanch a peace deal to end the blotched of palestinians. despite tens of sessions and communications via our mediators design is enemy until this point has not agreed to a cease fire in gaza. all they want is the return of the captives so that they can continue the war on gaza, which cannot happen. they want hamas and the resistance to
1:10 pm
agree to maps referring to the deployment of the israeli army, as if to say we are legitimizing the occupation of the strip or part of the strip, which is almost impossible to happen. zionist forces must. completely withdraw from the gaza strip. in april, israeli air strikes killed three of hania's sons and four of his grandchildren. at time, hania, was based in qatar, insisted that the massacre of his loved ones would not affect the ongoing sisf talks. whoever thinks that by targeting my children during the negotiation talks and before a deal is agreed upon that they will force hamas to back down is demands is in delusion. hania was in the iranian capital to attend the surent ceremony the iranian president masud pesishian, he was targeted and assassinated in the early hours of july 31st, 2024. ladies and gentlemen,
1:11 pm
welcome to our extended coverage of the breaking news that we've been covering uh since uh the... morning here on press tv, ismile hid of the political bureau of the palestinian resistance women hamas has been killed in attack in the iranian capital, tehran. the islamic revolution guards core announced it in a statement on wednesday morning that hania and one of his bodyguards were killed when their residence was hit in tehran, the assassination saw a projectile hitting a residence allocated to war veterans in the iranian capital. this happened at 2 a.m. local time on wednesday. the irgc statement said. the attack still under investigation, now we'll be sharing with you all the the findings and the results later in the day as they are divulged as well, the palestinian resistance leader was in tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of the iranian president elect, mas brothers and
1:12 pm
sisters of the iranian nation, peace be upon you, i come from the... land of palestine, a land of jihad and resistance, from algods, the first qibla of muslims, from the place, the prophet of islam ascended to heaven. we've come to iran to offer our condolences to. the leader of iran and to the nation and the government of islamic republic over the martterdom of great commander qasim sulaymani. we've come here to offer our condolences to the family, children and relatives of martis sulaymani as well as the flag bearers of the resistance against zionis and american plots. today we are here to express our sincere emotions with regard to our dear brother and commander who made many sacrifices for the sake of palestine and the resistance. until his martydom. he increased the potential, endurance, and power of the resistance. we announced that this vicious
1:13 pm
crimes americans have committed shows their criminal attitude that also caused so much bloodshed in palestine. by assassinating commander sulaymani, the united states wanted to give cover to the occupy and zianist regime to carry out more crimes in palestine, including the regimes killing drive of resistance commanders. the entire world needs to condemn this horrible crime and prosecute. was behind it, so those were comments uh by uh the uh latest smail hana at the funeral procession of uh lieutenant general assem suleimoni uh back in 2020, so we're focusing on uh the uh news uh that we've been covering all morning uh following the assassination of ismael han head of the political bureau of the palestinian resistance with hamas in the iranian capital. tehran, we're now going to be joined by our correspondent in the lebanese capital beirot mariam sale uh to uh
1:14 pm
offer some more insight and uh what the mood and atmosphere is like in uh the lebanese capital right now mariam, what do you have to share with us? well, first of all, bardia, just to a recap on the uh assassination, the israeli aggression that occurred here in the southern suburbs of of beirot um right behind. behind me or just one block away from here uh there was a direct attack and a strike against the residential building um which included uh one of hizbullah's top military commanders uh sayid shukur or fuad shukur as his name is and we are of course we know from a statement from hazballah saying that they are awaiting the results of the strike uh in order to see uh what the fate of the hazballah top military commander uh will be as result of this assassination now we learned also of course uh early in the morning about the assassination of ahead of
1:15 pm
the political bureau of hamas, ismail hany, we also learned that there was also field commander for iraq's hisbullah movement, the resistance movement of hisbullah in iraq as well abu hassan al maliki, and so it seems that all of these incidents are not separate, they are very much uh linked together uh we know from statements they have also issued of course a statement of condolences uh for hamas after this assassination, they have clearly said that they are as they are standing by hamas and they are with the resistance movement, they believe that of course this is part and parcel of the path of resistance and struggle, they spoke of course uh with high honor and respect for ismail and he is saying that he was one of the people who began very courageously to... stand in the face of the zionist project and the zionist occupation uh in palestine as well as
1:16 pm
the us hegemmany uh they also uh claim that this assassination will only lead to more determination among the resistance factions and the resistance groups and in the statement they also said that the uh the the dear brother as they call them hanniye has proven uh that it is in the resistance factions that they it is always the leaders who are at the forefront of the battle and they are the ones who of course are willing sacrifice their lives for the sake of this path of struggle and for the sake of liberation of palestine. now when we talk about the analysis of course there are huge uh every many countries have uh sent their condolences and denounced this assassination especially of the head of the political bureauc but we look at the the figure of of the the ismail hany himself. this is not someone who was working on the battle. field right now, like for example or muhammad, and so it seems that the israeli inability uh to
1:17 pm
target those leaders, those military leaders who are at the forefront inside in the heart the gaza strip has led them to go on with this assassination, what they are actually assassinating as it seems they are assassinating the main figure who is responsible for any talks concerning the truth, a possible true which was going on for months of course in a incircles. and not leading to anywhere and so uh they uh definitely seem to be sending message uh to palestines that they do not want any talks concerning the truth or concerning possibly... of an prisoner swap of any sort and so that assassination itself has many messages, and so we are we are talking about the possibility of a retaliation which could be manyfolds and from the entire resistance factions and the entire resistance fronts, especially since mr. ismail hanye was assassinated deep in the heart of the islamic republic of iran, which is the the the
1:18 pm
stronger the main ground, the main land, the supportive ground of all resistance. factions, especially the resistance in palestine, since the founding and since the revolution in 1979, one the leader of the revolution, imam khumaini very clearly and openly closed the zionist entities uh so-called embassy then and said that this is the embassy of palestine and very clearly said that this will be the beginning of the liberation of palestine and of course he had said earlier even in 1948 that this is cancerous tumor that the israel regime is cancerous tumor, and of course the islamic republic of iran have very firmly stood by the side of the resistance. now we are hearing reports of course, you mentioned some them from the uh islamic revolutionary god's core, from all the politicians uh, from the leader of the revolution himself, all talking about the fact that there will be a retaliation, that the israelis need to be punished for this crime, and so it will be
1:19 pm
definitely first of all a retaliation that will respond to the aggression against the islam. republic of iran itself, but also will be a retaliation to respond to the assassination of ismail hannah who is part and parcel of all the resistance uh uh factions. we are also looking at the possibility that there could be a united uh retaliation perhaps among the resistance factions. there's definitely been a lot of coordination and a cooperation among all the factions which is which has been unprecedented which has been unlike any other uh cooperation in the past, and we've seen that now, it's it's been very different, this is the first time where we see there was a an aggression against gaza, and for the first time hazballah's resistance takes the stance of supporting the palestinian resistance, but hazballah has said through its leaders that the uh an israeli aggression would not entail only the continuous operations that are in
1:20 pm
support of the palestinian resistance, but this would be separate issue, and so definitely we are looking here at an aggression on in the heart of the capital beirot, the southern suburbs of beirot, which we said, we spoke about many times, how symbolic it is, and how significant it is, as a the main land of the resistance of hazballah's resistance group and the the support of ground actually is right here, and so that really hits hezbullah in the heart of its uh mainland, this is on one hand, you also have the fact that this is a direct attack against civilians, we all so in order to remind our viewers there have been uh there's one one woman and two children, a brother and sister who were killed um barely six and seven years old and they were found actually by the rescue teams holding hands as they were removed from the rubble and clearly showing uh that they were of course trying to find some uh some support and some uh some safety some sense of of security just before
1:21 pm
their the their building had fallen their apartment had fallen and they uh were killed as a result of this israel aggression so hizballah of course will definitely be retaliating, we don't have anything yet, however we do know from israeli sol uh media that the sirens are sounding in the colonial settlement of yaron uh, it's not clear whether it is an um an israeli false alarm or perhaps it is hazbullah launching a drone attack. now even if hezballah does launch few operations now in the border region or certain some uh towards other certain barracks, the real retaliation will be on several levels uh, i think, and we will definitely be having statements from hazballah on that, it will be something different than the past. now in the past after, especially the 2006 war hazballah, secretary general had said he made equation of some sort, and he clearly said that attacking the heart of the southern suburbs of beirot will equal, and retaliation would
1:22 pm
entail attack against the heart of the israeli regime in tel aviv specifically, and of course we are waiting to see... perhaps hasbollah wants to see in the results and the fate of its commander, of its military commander to understand and to know what type of retaliation uh they will be launching against the israelis, but there definitely will be a retaliation, but perhaps how large it will be, will hazbullah go directly to tel aviv or will they begin with the retaliation in haïfa? we know from hazballah's footage, we know from the uh the so-called hopo message, how they have the ability to target very significant uh... sites, economic sites, we know also that hizbullah has previously also sent drones for surveillance purposes over karish, the refields of karish is the uh excavation areas, the areas of... and gas which the israelis are taking from the occupied palestinian territorial waters, or excuse me, the the economic waters, and so that will also be a something that hazballah
1:23 pm
can use to twist the arm of the israeli regime, but the israeli regime with its assassinations, three assassinations with what seems to be very clear us green light has definitely taken things to new level, and of course the resistance whether in lebanon, or in the islamic republic of iran or the palestinian resistance, they have always been very much meticulous, they calculate their moves very carefully before going on with the retaliation, this probably might take some time and perhaps we might even see something which is quick in the upcoming hours, a quick retaliation as a preliminary retaliation before they go on with the major uh um uh retaliation of hitting the israeli regime perhaps somewhere where it hurts most right, thanks mariam pursues mariam. joining us from the lebanese capital bayrut, we're now going to cross over to daybala in central gaza, we press tv zurio and sape is joining us now, what you welcome to the program, first of all
1:24 pm
tell us how this news has been reverberating in the gaza strip following the news of the assassination of ism hunia. yes, actually the people have received this assassination. crime with more grief and more sadness and the people are completely outraged and appalled by this senous crime that was committed by the israeli incubation forces against the head of hamas movement in tehran ismail hania and the people are saying that this crime should never go unanswered and they are calling for a retaliatory attack against the israeli kivition forces and responding to this crime uh the people understand clearly that the israel incubation forces by committing this crime um actually is are adding more fuel to the fire iim this
1:25 pm
ongoing genocidal war waged against gaza slip the israel incubation forces crossed all red lines when it comes to attacking and stalking the palestinian people whether uh they were inside gaza strip or or out or as you know outside the territories uh so the current situation is still ten. and the people are completely furiated by this crime and as you know the israeli crimes are still ongoing against all areas of gaz strip basically here as you know in the central area of gaz strip more israel strikes and artillery shiling actually are still hitting uh the these areas addition to as you know raf city whereas the israel attacks are still insistent against the central area of gaz strip more palestin and people are still as you know being unalived and killed as a result of those attacks so... so we can see clearly that the people look at this crime as waror shit crime that was committed deliberately against the resistance uh and as you the leadership of the resistance and when it comes to ismail
1:26 pm
hani as you know he is one of the most prominent leaders of the liberation movement in palestine and he spent his entire life defending the right of the palestinian people to live in dignity and the freedom and to have their own and servi and he as you he has been engaged in this struggle against israeli occupation forces uh as you know for decades and he managed to survive for as you know uh for uh assassination attempts carried out by the israel incubation forces throughout his life and uh unfortunately the israel incubation forces uh managed to attack and kill him at the end of the day so we can see this crime this crime actually is added to the ongoing crimes committed by the israel incubation forces against the palestinian people generally and against the palestinian. uh resistance leaders specifically, it's worth mentioning that uh this attack took a please hours after the israeli incubation forces as you attempted to assassinate number two uh military leader and hizbullah in
1:27 pm
lebanon and previously the israelition forces assassinated saleh al aruri in lebanon so the israeli crimes and the israeli atrocities against the palestinian resistance is still underway and these uh attacks and these assassinations actually uh come against the back drop of the israeli as you know of the israelick temps to paralyze the palestinian resistance, the israelis desperately think that they can able to, as you know to undermine the palestinian resistance by keep attacking and assassinating the palestine resistance fighters and leaders, however history teaches teaches us clearly that these assassinations actually fuel the palestinian resistance and they uh actually they uh embolden the palestinian resistance to become stronger and stronger and facing and confronting the israeli ocubation. forces, all the palestinian leaders who have been assassinated by the israeli incubation forces, whether it was about the palestinian resistance or the lebanese resistance or elsewhere, and the resistance access actually
1:28 pm
uh uh uh... presented a a clear clue and evidence that those assassinations attempts actually would never succeed uh to push the palestinian resistance to raise the white flag or to surrender to the israel incubation forces uh but on the other hand they as i've mentioned they um encourage the palestinian resistance to become a stronger and more powerful in resisting the israeli incubation forces we can see clearly that the palestinian people here in gaza strip looking at this uh assassination as water shed in terms of the trajectory of our struggle as the palestinian people occupied by the israeli incubation forces um again and this struggle i mean that the palestinan resistance understand that these assassinations are considered like a turning bond when it comes to how the palestinian people are responding to the israeli crimes and the israeli attacks uh being waged lift transcenter against all areas of gaza strip uh more later more uh calls of retaliation are still unleashed by the palestinian resist
1:29 pm
by the palestinian people here. and they understand that the palestinian resistance is still strong enough to fight back against the israeli incubation forces and to have more literatory steps and attacks against the israeli equibition forces uh responding to this to this hinous and vicious crime committed by the israeli forces by the israeli regime against the palestinian people the israeli regime presents every moment every day with every attack against anyone else uh whether uh he was inside palestine or abroad that uh israeli regime is nothing but an above the low state and they have no red lines when it comes to attacking the palestinian people and they are they do not distinguish or separate between the palestinian military leaders and the political leaders and even when it comes to the palestinian civilians we are talking about try 4000 palestinian civilians have been reportedly killed since day one of this genocidal war uh and this number as you know uh includes uh palestinian uh military leaders palestinian politicians and addition
1:30 pm
to "the vast majority of the people, uh, as you know, the palestinian children, the palestinian women, uh, i mean that roughly 70% or more of those palestinian people who have been killed, uh, aware from women and children and civilians, so this reveals clearly that this genocidal war actually targets every palestinian civilians, no matter whether that palestinian was from the political uh field or military leader or any palestinian civilian, so this is why this uh war is..." not about the palestinian resistance only, it's all about the palestinian people generally, and the israel incubation forces are still attempting desperately to undermine the palestinian resistance uh and as you know they are trying just to uh to narrow the avenues uh before the palestinian resistance uh basically when it comes to this ongoing war and this open confrontation between the palestinian people and the israeli hation forces, the israelis are now...
