"the former political bureau chief of the palestinian resistance movement, hamas, was born in a refugee camp near gaza city in january 29th, 1962. he joined the resistance movement in the late 1980s during the first entefada, as the movement gradually grew powerful, hanyor rose through the ranks,

offer some more insight and uh what the mood and atmosphere is like in uh the lebanese capital right now mariam, what do you have to share with us? well, first of all, bardia, just to a recap on the uh assassination, the israeli aggression that occurred here in the southern suburbs of of beirot um right behind. behind me or just one block away from here uh there was a direct attack and a strike against the residential building um which included uh one of hizbullah's top military commanders uh sayid shukur or fuad shukur as his name is and we are of course we know from a statement from hazballah saying that they are awaiting the results of the strike uh in order to see uh what the fate of the hazballah top military commander uh will be as result of this assassination now we learned also of course uh early in the morning about the assassination of ahead of

the political bureau of hamas, ismail hany, we also learned that there was also field commander for iraq's hisbullah movement, the resistance movement of hisbullah in iraq as well abu hassan al maliki, and so it seems that all of these incidents are not separate, they are very much uh linked together uh we know from statements they have also issued of course a statement of condolences uh for hamas after this assassination, they have clearly said that they are as they are standing by hamas and they are with the resistance movement, they believe that of course this is part and parcel of the path of resistance and struggle, they spoke of course uh with high honor and respect for ismail and he is saying that he was one of the people who began very courageously to... stand in the face of the zionist project and the zionist occupation uh in palestine as well as

the us hegemmany uh they also uh claim that this assassination will only lead to more determination among the resistance factions and the resistance groups and in the statement they also said that the uh the the dear brother as they call them hanniye has proven uh that it is in the resistance factions that they it is always the leaders who are at the forefront of the battle and they are the ones who of course are willing sacrifice their lives for the sake of this path of struggle and for the sake of liberation of palestine. now when we talk about the analysis of course there are huge uh every many countries have uh sent their condolences and denounced this assassination especially of the head of the political bureauc but we look at the the figure of of the the ismail hany himself. this is not someone who was working on the battle. field right now, like for example or muhammad, and so it seems that the israeli inability uh to

target those leaders, those military leaders who are at the forefront inside in the heart the gaza strip has led them to go on with this assassination, what they are actually assassinating as it seems they are assassinating the main figure who is responsible for any talks concerning the truth, a possible true which was going on for months of course in a incircles. and not leading to anywhere and so uh they uh definitely seem to be sending message uh to palestines that they do not want any talks concerning the truth or concerning possibly... of an prisoner swap of any sort and so that assassination itself has many messages, and so we are we are talking about the possibility of a retaliation which could be manyfolds and from the entire resistance factions and the entire resistance fronts, especially since mr. ismail hanye was assassinated deep in the heart of the islamic republic of iran, which is the the the

stronger the main ground, the main land, the supportive ground of all resistance. factions, especially the resistance in palestine, since the founding and since the revolution in 1979, one the leader of the revolution, imam khumaini very clearly and openly closed the zionist entities uh so-called embassy then and said that this is the embassy of palestine and very clearly said that this will be the beginning of the liberation of palestine and of course he had said earlier even in 1948 that this is cancerous tumor that the israel regime is cancerous tumor, and of course the islamic republic of iran have very firmly stood by the side of the resistance. now we are hearing reports of course, you mentioned some them from the uh islamic revolutionary god's core, from all the politicians uh, from the leader of the revolution himself, all talking about the fact that there will be a retaliation, that the israelis need to be punished for this crime, and so it will be

definitely first of all a retaliation that will respond to the aggression against the islam. republic of iran itself, but also will be a retaliation to respond to the assassination of ismail hannah who is part and parcel of all the resistance uh uh factions. we are also looking at the possibility that there could be a united uh retaliation perhaps among the resistance factions. there's definitely been a lot of coordination and a cooperation among all the factions which is which has been unprecedented which has been unlike any other uh cooperation in the past, and we've seen that now, it's it's been very different, this is the first time where we see there was a an aggression against gaza, and for the first time hazballah's resistance takes the stance of supporting the palestinian resistance, but hazballah has said through its leaders that the uh an israeli aggression would not entail only the continuous operations that are in

support of the palestinian resistance, but this would be separate issue, and so definitely we are looking here at an aggression on in the heart of the capital beirot, the southern suburbs of beirot, which we said, we spoke about many times, how symbolic it is, and how significant it is, as a the main land of the resistance of hazballah's resistance group and the the support of ground actually is right here, and so that really hits hezbullah in the heart of its uh mainland, this is on one hand, you also have the fact that this is a direct attack against civilians, we all so in order to remind our viewers there have been uh there's one one woman and two children, a brother and sister who were killed um barely six and seven years old and they were found actually by the rescue teams holding hands as they were removed from the rubble and clearly showing uh that they were of course trying to find some uh some support and some uh some safety some sense of of security just before

their the their building had fallen their apartment had fallen and they uh were killed as a result of this israel aggression so hizballah of course will definitely be retaliating, we don't have anything yet, however we do know from israeli sol uh media that the sirens are sounding in the colonial settlement of yaron uh, it's not clear whether it is an um an israeli false alarm or perhaps it is hazbullah launching a drone attack. now even if hezballah does launch few operations now in the border region or certain some uh towards other certain barracks, the real retaliation will be on several levels uh, i think, and we will definitely be having statements from hazballah on that, it will be something different than the past. now in the past after, especially the 2006 war hazballah, secretary general had said he made equation of some sort, and he clearly said that attacking the heart of the southern suburbs of beirot will equal, and retaliation would

entail attack against the heart of the israeli regime in tel aviv specifically, and of course we are waiting to see... perhaps hasbollah wants to see in the results and the fate of its commander, of its military commander to understand and to know what type of retaliation uh they will be launching against the israelis, but there definitely will be a retaliation, but perhaps how large it will be, will hazbullah go directly to tel aviv or will they begin with the retaliation in haïfa? we know from hazballah's footage, we know from the uh the so-called hopo message, how they have the ability to target very significant uh... sites, economic sites, we know also that hizbullah has previously also sent drones for surveillance purposes over karish, the refields of karish is the uh excavation areas, the areas of... and gas which the israelis are taking from the occupied palestinian territorial waters, or excuse me, the the economic waters, and so that will also be a something that hazballah

hani as you know he is one of the most prominent leaders of the liberation movement in palestine and he spent his entire life defending the right of the palestinian people to live in dignity and the freedom and to have their own and servi and he as you he has been engaged in this struggle against israeli occupation forces uh as you know for decades and he managed to survive for as you know uh for uh assassination attempts carried out by the israel incubation forces throughout his life and uh unfortunately the israel incubation forces uh managed to attack and kill him at the end of the day so we can see this crime this crime actually is added to the ongoing crimes committed by the israel incubation forces against the palestinian people generally and against the palestinian. uh resistance leaders specifically, it's worth mentioning that uh this attack took a please hours after the israeli incubation forces as you attempted to assassinate number two uh military leader and hizbullah in

lebanon and previously the israelition forces assassinated saleh al aruri in lebanon so the israeli crimes and the israeli atrocities against the palestinian resistance is still underway and these uh attacks and these assassinations actually uh come against the back drop of the israeli as you know of the israelick temps to paralyze the palestinian resistance, the israelis desperately think that they can able to, as you know to undermine the palestinian resistance by keep attacking and assassinating the palestine resistance fighters and leaders, however history teaches teaches us clearly that these assassinations actually fuel the palestinian resistance and they uh actually they uh embolden the palestinian resistance to become stronger and stronger and facing and confronting the israeli ocubation. forces, all the palestinian leaders who have been assassinated by the israeli incubation forces, whether it was about the palestinian resistance or the lebanese resistance or elsewhere, and the resistance access actually

uh uh uh... presented a a clear clue and evidence that those assassinations attempts actually would never succeed uh to push the palestinian resistance to raise the white flag or to surrender to the israel incubation forces uh but on the other hand they as i've mentioned they um encourage the palestinian resistance to become a stronger and more powerful in resisting the israeli incubation forces we can see clearly that the palestinian people here in gaza strip looking at this uh assassination as water shed in terms of the trajectory of our struggle as the palestinian people occupied by the israeli incubation forces um again and this struggle i mean that the palestinan resistance understand that these assassinations are considered like a turning bond when it comes to how the palestinian people are responding to the israeli crimes and the israeli attacks uh being waged lift transcenter against all areas of gaza strip uh more later more uh calls of retaliation are still unleashed by the palestinian resist
