more palestinians are killed in gaza, as the israeli regime continues to pound the blockated territory with unrelenting air and artillery strikes. in one of the deadliest attacks, at least nine people, including women and children, were killed and over 30 others injured in israel's bombing of a palestinian home in the center of gaza city in rock. southern gaza, the civil defense said at least four people were killed after israeli war planes targeted displaced people there in a separate strike in raffa. three were killed and several others injured in a drone strike north of the city. the israely aggression which began in october has so far claimed the lives of more than 80 or rather 40,800 and injured over 94 thousand others. hunger, malnutrition and lack of medical supplies are also taking their tol on the gaza population. press tv's corresponent

joined us earlier from the central gaza, city of deral bal to tell us more about the ongoing israeli massacre in the besieg territory. it's actually pernicious israels and attacks are still underway against multiple areas of gaza strip unabated. gaza city is still the focal area of those ongoing. attacks whereas the israeli fighted, just carried out several opponing strikes against the palestinian people, the last one took a place in a darage neighborhood when the israeli fighter just destroyed a residential building there uh killing a palestinan civilian and leaving multiple palestinian injuries, in the meantime another took play another another air strike another air strike took place in a zeitoon neighborhood against the resistential building as well, multiple palestinian casualties were left behind the attack uh a
1:34 pm
zitoon neighborhood in addition to as-sabra and talawa neighborhoods are still uh the main targets of the israel artillery shiling these moments as we speak right now the israel artillery shelling is is maintained heavily against those areas - needless to mention that the israeli fighter uh the israeli tubers and the israeli helicopters actually open their gunfire towards the wisten boards of gaza city the kind of situation is still precarious and gaza city whereas the israel incubation forces intensifying and concentrating the attacks against the city, yesterday, the israel incubation forces committed several opponing massacres against the palestine and people by targeting multiple evacuation centers basically in nama college which is located in the northern part of gaz city killing at least seven palestinian civilians while other nine palestinians were killed after the israeli fighter just destroyed the resistential building in the visinity of gaz park in the central area of the city and here in the middle area of gaz the constitution.

situation is still tragic as well, whereas of the israeli t shielling was maintained heavily against the isimbard of magazi refugee camp, we have heard uh multiple explosions in that area. the palestinian resistance moven hamas says the us has been a longstanding partner in israeli crimes across gaza, continuously throwing its political, military and security support behind the regime. senior hamas official osama hamdan rejected washington's new proposals as containing nothing new, which are only aimed at buying time for israel to commit more crimes. hamdon urged washington to pressure netanyahu into abiding by an already. agreed upon deal on july the 2nd, instead of proposing new initiatives, according to hamdan israel's full withdrawal from all of gaza, including the philadelphia corridor and a permanent cease fire are part of that deal, and the resistance will not back down from its demands, the remarks come as the white house says a new initiative for gasa cease

fire set to be announced on friday. well students at new york's colombia university have resumed their pro- palestine protest as the new academic year begins a midtight security dozens of students with many of them covering their faces with palestinian kafia scarves gathered outside
1:37 pm
the university gates enchanted slogans against the ongoing israeli genocide in gaza uh the campus has beefed up security and also introduced new laws which authorities say will ensure a safe learning environment, however pro- palestine activist say they will not be intimidated and keep up their activities until the university divests from israeli linked companies. last semester protests and encampment by students against us back israely genocide in gaza was met with police crackdown and arrests but the columbia university protest spilled into other campuses in the us and even in the world, well joining us uh for more insight on that story, we have broadcaster and tv presenter, miss fahim muhammad joining us uh from the
1:38 pm
british capital london, miss mohammed, welcome to the program, so these pro-palestinian demonstrations are resuming yet again uh at at college campuses, it shows that the public. will not be turning away from the israeli genocide that's being carried out against palestinians in gaza. yes, we saw this happening and it started in the easter of this year, where they sort of semester kind of ended, and now we've seen at the start of the new term that universities are increasingly becoming a central battleground over the debates for israel and palestine conflicts, particularly. through the action of student groups. now this is because the implication is that the many universities have endowments invested in companies like you mentioned which are complicit in the israeli policies towards palestine such as military contractors, surveillance technology firms and and others.
1:39 pm
so these student and faculty activists often pressure universities to diverse from these companies as part of the boy cot. diversement sanctions vds movement and um we have seen in history whether it was from the vietnam war right up to the south african apathide where students have protested and have had and made significant differences to the change in these kind of um institutions where government were pressured to do that, however it's even though in history it showed that there were some changes. um and it played a huge part, we do find that the governments are clamping down on making sure that these students have less freedom to have free speech, even though these universities advocate for free speech, so the they have the actual um sort of the actual way of
1:40 pm
trying to manage free speech as well as trying to give them a chance of also continuing with their own di investments and investments financially, because of course we do know that lot of these um universities do actually have lot of faculties and lot of investments that they... go on, not just from students, but in order to keep their universities running, so that needs to be something where the actual um universities themselves need to make sure that their companies are not compliced in what's happening right now, whether or not the government is going to clamp down on the students or the universities is something that we will see in this movement, it started obviously in the us like it did in the actual easter time and we will we've seen it obviously transfer into the uk and others around the world, so we are waiting to see as
1:41 pm
it's the first day and if the actual genocide continues, i don't see this actually um stopping anytime soon with the universities obviously feeling the actual um palestinian and actually trying to make sure that this does not continue. right and miss muhammad, another issue uh that i want you to uh address here is that... um, the american politicians, they're seeing all the dissatisfaction inside the us, specifically with what's going on with their taxpayer money, which is being shipped over to the israeli regime, as they use it to kill innocent women and children, and there's also this dissatisfaction and opposition to this genocidal war worldwide, yet the american politician will not second guess his or her support for the israel regime, why is that? well, they claim and they have to uh support
1:42 pm
their ally, as we see even here in the uk, it's not just the us, even though in the uk recently they have limited some of their arms, which is just literally a quarter of what they normally are sending, just to appease, you know, the public uprore and the actual outrage, but again, um, and hoping probably that they won't be complicit if there were to be any kind of further, um investigation in anyone being complicit if it was deemed to be um legally a genocide, so i guess they are just doing the bare minimum in order to keep themselves away, but we know for decades that israel has always had huge ally support from the uk and the us and some european countries, and that's why they've been managed to continue like this, this is not the first fight, this has been many fights, it's only why 'a lot of people have actually been aware of this world wide is because it's continued for such a long time
1:43 pm
which has never been in history. so now more and more people that have always known about this conflict between israel and palestine have now really got to see the true colors of israel and and its real dealings with the palestinians and keeping them separate and separate and apartthied state and not giving them their rights and not giving them anything and and hundreds of other things that they've kept you know the the actual pris'. that they have, which is, over a couple of thousand, many, including children, never ever been convicted, never been tried, never been charged, so all of this have come to light, but regardless of that, as you mentioned, israel has got their own agenda with the us in order to you know, basically take over the region, because they feel that you know, it's surrounded by the middle east and they need their spot, and even recently netanyahu has displayed a map, which does not even include the region of... the west bank and it just says israel, which shows his future implementation of what their plan is.
1:44 pm
everyone complains about chanting from the river to the sea when netanyahu himself uses that in order to make sure that the palestinians are not going to be um anywhere to be seen or heard, and it's not just words that has been charted, we can see it happening every single day with the thousands of people that are being displaced, millions that are displaced at this very moment. in time keep moving and as well as the fact that they are killings you know every single day, whether there is no safe zone, there is no um humanitarian aid, there's nothing in line with human rights or international law either. thanks lot, broadcaster and tv presenter fahim muhammed joining us from the british capital london. that's where the families of the israeli captives have held a new wave of protests in tel aviv to demand prime minister benyamin netanyahu secure the release of their loved ones held in gaza. the protesters blame netanyahu. for the death of captives and urged him to sign deal with the palestinian resistance group to bring the

others back alive. on tuesday night, tens of thousands of israelies also gathered in several cities, including rahavat, hodharon and tel aviv. they demanded the resignation of netanyahu and his far right cabinet. the protesters accused the premier of systematically obstructing the gaza cease fire for his personal and political gains. they referred to new demands by netanyahu in negotiations with hamas that have provoked public anger, israelis including the families the captives have held rallies almost a daily basis since the regime launched its war on gaza. meanwhile in tel aviv scuffles broke out between protesters and israeli police on tuesday night. the protest followed a general strike called

by the israeli labor union against netanyahu's handling of the gaza war, workers shot down transport services, banks and schools and was major blow to the israeli economy. netanyahu stands accused of blocking the gaza truce deal with his insistance on the continued control over israel created philadelphia and netsarim corridors in gaza. this is while the hamas resistance movement has demanded a full israeli withdraw from the entirety of gazas for any deal. meanwhile israely war cabinet member benny gants said israel should focus on bringing the remaining captives back home from gaza safely. academic and political analyst bruno becleini believes neto is gambling on israeli captives lives to get his own political goals. netanyahu and his cabinet, they they proceed as gamblers, they are gambling with their own people's
1:47 pm
lives, they are gambling against freezing and making free 11000 palestinian prison. and their intentions are so very clear, they want to occupy the west bank with annexation, at least with one more area, what they call the enemy call judia and samaria, they want to close corridor, philadelphia corridor andcess, so they understand that proceeding like this, they would close the logistic possibilities of the access of resistance, their own people understand that this what is and for netanyahu, as more captives are killed by themselves by their bombings, the better the situation of him and the the whole cabinet. israeli forces continue their deadly attacks across the occupied west bank for the eighth day in a row. in the latest attacks, three palestinians were killed and several others injured in tulkaram and town near

retaliation for the israeli attacks on the peaceful civilian population and peaceful houses in south lebanon, especially in itashab and in khiam, launched a salvo of rockets towards the ballal area where there is the headquarters of the... battalion um they said they targeted that headquarters specifically also and the launching sites in de shown now the israely media said that some 60 katusia rockets were launched from lebanon into that area in kariatishmona and the surrounding of kmonatsmona is considered a large municipality by the israelis so there are several tiputes for example you have dishon you have balon you also have far bloom and where sirens were sounding and even rockets were known to uh to to hit and strike. the israeli said two people were injured. of course hizbillah said that they targeted military sites and so most probably
1:52 pm
those two injured were israeli soldiers especially indeshon in the launching sites specifically. the israely media also said there were fires that corrupted in several buildings and of course as you know that area has mostly been evacuated so and they are being used. used the buildings there are being used by israeli soldiers and this is why hasbullah has directly targeted those buildings as they have said before they have targeted buildings and residence and areas in those settlements that are used by israeli soldiers now previously the israelies launched attack you mentioned there was the heavy shelling on retaliated for the lebanese health ministry said two people were injured specifically in uh khiam and this is also in addition to all lot of other areas where the fire jets launch their attacks against kawin and yatar and there were also other till fire
