lebanon, that ground invasion they've been talking about? currently the israeli regime uh lacks the much needed western support for invasion of lebanon and also they are stock in the quagram in gaza so uh it's they are in a tough situation whether to launch the invasion of lebanon or not but in case they decide to go ahead with the invasion of lebanon uh we have uh you know some experiences over the past decades in 1982 they launch invasion of lebanon and that invasion just cost them uh you know beak and uh they were forced to occupy uh regions in thur lebanon for 18 years and finally in 2000 they were forced to just withdraw from lebanon without any achievement and uh again we had the war in 2006 they attack lebanon

they invaded lebanon to you know achieve their goals and to uh free and israel captive, but they couldn't do that, and after 30 day 33 days of war, they just were forced to just go back to uh the israel occupied territories without any achievement, so israel has been defeated in lebanon two times over the past decades and many observers say these uh third invasion, potential invasion would be no exception because uh the... regime, they cannot occupy regions in southern lebanon, unlike in gaza, because in gaza the they can remain there, but in lebanon they can't stay there, they have to go there and and then just come back, and you know the lebanese resistance is uh well well equipped with weapons and arms, so this is

very difficult for them to crush the resistance, we should not forget that uh the israel regime has uh dealt some blows to hisb over the past week uh they have just assassinated several top commanders of hezbollah they have uh had these paisure and vaki explosions injuring uh many civilians in lebanon and now the bombardment of lebanon uh which is just killed uh hundreds of civilians have been killed but despite these blows uh israel is cannot just crush the resistance because it's much harder to uh crush the resistance than to deal some blows to the resistance and to uh pressure them to the point of capitulation, this is very difficult and that's why uh many observers believe this uh you know planned military invasion of lebanon would be doomed. okay so uh mr.

hashamy in uh your opinion since you're uh discussing that top uh, what, how far has these seesfire talks come along and how serious are they? well, we do know that the lebanese prime minister has denied signing any kind of agreement. it seems that the united states once again is trying something unilateral. uh, is this some kind of media propaganda? what, what's that? uh, you know, on wednesday, we had the us and france announcing a 21 days. proposal, in fact the french president, firstly they talked about it and then france announced the proposal, and they said this 21 days fire period, temporary cefire will uh give time for diplomacy and to reach final settlement for the war in lebanon and also in gaza they tied

gaza and lebanon to each other for the first time the us officials that this sease fire proposal would involve both uh gaza and lebanon so they try to solve uh you know hit two bears with one stone but uh today we had uh israeli officials making some uh contradictory remarks about the sifire proposal: firstly, we had the israeli foreign minister flatly rejecting the proposal and he said there will be, he there would be no cease fire and the israeli regime will uh just keep bombing lebanon, but after that we had the office of israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu uh issuing a statement and saying that netanyahu has not yet responded to the seas fire. proposal and he is not, he has not read the proposal, so there is a bit of contradiction, contradiction here, and also the us officials white house spokesman

just said that they have coordinated the peace proposal with israeli officials, so the us says the the cease fire proposal has been coordinated with uh israel, but israel says there is no cice fire or that they have not just responded. to the cease fire, so we have a bit of contradiction here, but in any case we have seen such contradictions in the case of gaza's fire talks before, we had biden peace plan in a few months ago, firstly the us government proposed the peace plan and then they said the israeli officials have approved the peace plan, but and and hamas announced it's you know it just agreed to the peace plan, but after that... israel rejected that peace plan and added new conditions which are just you know block the sease fire in gaza so and many observers here say that

uh if israel if the us really wants a cease fire in lebanon and in gaza they can just stop sending bombs to you know israeli regime and stop pumping weapons uh into the israeli occupied territories because if they... you know stop sending those launch you know bunker buster bombs to for israel uh this would be a great pressure on israel to stop the aggression but they are not ready to do that then and they're not willing to do to do that and now uhdan the hamas representative in lebanon has just emphasized the point that if uh the us is serious about the cease fire talks it has to take action and just not just words, they have to stop just sending arms to israel to force it into a ceasefire. okay, so what has iran's reaction been to all of this?

uh, yesterday we had the iranian foreign minister abbas araqchi having a press conference at the united nations, and after that he attended the un security council meeting, and that meeting he stressed that the israeli regime is... trying to set fire to the whole region, they are bound by no rule, no international law and no human rights and they feel, they they see no red lines in committing atrocities, and mr.chi warn that the world should take action before it's too late, the word should uh just uh try to raign in the israeli regime uh because we now have a real risk of an all-out war. in the region and mr.shi also emphasized that iran in case of a you know full blown war on on lebanon iran will stand by the arab
