foot and behaves as if it is in a vacuum, however its position of madness is strengthened by the leverage it has over the us and over western leaders, whether by coersion, blackmail or the indisputable fact that all of these states simply do not want these ziners thugs back in their countries, so they will do whatever it takes to keep them out, even at the cost of palestinin lives. what israel also has is fall sense of bravado, a belief that it is invincible. you know, my dad always used to say, those whom the gods wish to destroy, they first make mad, and this is often used to describe the self-destructive. decisions made by powerful individuals of civilizations on the brink of collapse. now this is exactly where israel is, however, zinanism is neither a civilization nor does it constitute powerful individuals. what it is is a malicious cult with viral members, so the reality is that it

has no civilization values, that's why they steal, they plunder, they murder, they rape and they justify these actions and they do it over and over again, exactly as you said, first and occupy. sed in territories, then gaza, now lebanon, and of course they've been doing it in syria as well, so the most abhorent train is that they are a cult of liers. it's time now for the infi news section of the program, we picked for this particular episode, um, all news in this section that's related to israel's economy. including the gaza and the west bank. first up, we're going to take a look at what has been now plaguing israel and that's is credit rating. in this case, mudis has downgraded it. mudis investor service, you may have heard of it, the sovereign credit rating has been downgraded, where it has cited israel's

persistent military aggression in the occupied territories, as well as it warmongerings in other regions including south lebanon is based on moodies at the heart of this downgrade. now another problem that lies here, israel's. extreme right-wing ideology has been plagued by internal divisions and also lack of consensus on key issues. uh, in terms of israel's economy, the next entry is overall regarding that. how it's battered, you have 11, almost a year, not almost a year, year of a war that's battered the economy, one of the consequences of that, the gdp contraction by 4.1%, it happened right after weeks after october 7, um, operational flood, the downturn has continued into 2024, and it has uh fallen by additional 1.1% and 1.4% in the first uh two quarters at this point, now in terms of the cost, that's... our next uh entry of uh this uh onslot, we're looking how the israely war

investments, $1.3 billion dollars was what it has been reduced to, the investment slump minus 53%, and then the venture capital is down 70%. imagine that, all of this for sector that contributes 20% to israel's economy, so that's quite a bit of a hit to say the least that the sector has taken. now and one of the big biggest signals that this regime's economy is doing poorly is when it announced these uh closures uh we're looking at since october 7th 46,00 businesses to have been closed uh that's a lot of business. i'm sure you agree, top of that, it has predicted that once the year 2024 ends, up to 60,00 businesses may close, mostly small businesses. now given this scenario, let's not forget many of these businesses had loans out from israely banks like the one that you see here, israel's bank lumi. based on just the results of the fourth quarter, we're looking at $492 million in profits versus the

2022 profits, 2.3 billion. how much of slump there is there uh now when it comes to the way that the losses have accumulated in terms the loans themselves uh we took a look at that uh we're looking from minus 84 million dollars okay uh that's now uh up to $180 million for the year 2023 quite a bit of losses when it comes just to the loans now here's a look at four different indicators that you see here the inflation rate of israel rate then gaza and the west bank in terms of their gdp. the israel inflation rate as you can see is creeping up uh july 2023 upwards where you see there of around about 5%. now the unemployment rate it's about a little over 60% so that means around 40 roughly percent of the israeli i guess citizens there don't have a job including

palestinians to work there. now look at the gaza's gdp as you can see from the year 2019 uh how. "it has slumped and it came to the big drop that you see in 2024, which is uh around uh almost 90% of drop that you see there, and then the gdp of the west bank also, it has faltered, we didn't go through the specifics there uh, but in terms of just from last year up to the year that's coming to an end in 2024, looking at negative 35%. all right, so that gives you an overall view, some snapshots of uh what this genocidal onslot has done. to not only the israel regime, but also for palestine and of course the gaza strip. let's bring back our guests and see what they think. uh, joining, rejoining us now is uh our guest shabnam palessa mohammed. she is an award winning human rights activist, journalist and lawyer. all right, welcome back to the program. so let's take a look at the genocide that has

taken place in the gaza strip, including these uh now exploding devices uh that has happened in lebanon. looking at the way that the israeli regime is targeted there, and of course massacers that are now extending beyond the gaza strip. israel's making the world a less safer place, and i'm sure that has some impact in terms of this violent behavior on the world economy. what do you think? well, it is completely out of control. its inception, the us government may thought that may have thought that it could control the settler colony as a bunker in the middle east essentially to terrorize, control and leach resources from the country. is around it, but it has shown that it has grown far beyond the control of the us, and when you look at the power and influence of apec, for example, almost all the politicians on the us and on elections and on their so-called democracy, i don't think the us has any control whatsoever over israel, including the fact that mosad and epsteen for example have

information which can be used as blackmail against us politicians and that's part of why they behave the way they do. all right, thank you for that. let's bring back dr. guresha ismail sulaiman, who's uh active at the university of pretoria, post doctoral researcher in the department of political sciences. uh, welcome back. uh, taking a look at the israel regime's behavior, it's quite telling how it is moved beyond the gaza strip, even though that's still being attacked by them to lebanon, and perhaps uh to the wider region. surely this must impact not only the security. the economy of these regions, but maybe beyond, how would you describe israel's violent behavior? doesn't it jeopardize the world economy uh ultimately? well, these two states are, that means the us and israel are parius states and considering that the world has allowed these two paris and monsters to grow, because literally everyone, think every state at some

point in their history has bowed down to them and done some boot leaking. so i would believe that the consequences of this is that everyone will pay the price for negative impact on the economy, we are not going to be spared, trust me, there will be consequences, it's inevitable, and secondly, the only way to quarterize the cancerous growth, that is israel, the us and many of these other races settle colonial states is through the economy, you know, there's nothing better than to hurt the pocket because of the love for money, and this is the fundamental route. of all of all of this evil, people are put down for the benefit of financial gain. given the fact that this is october 7th, one year since operation alloh flood uh... has taken off over the past year uh we have actually had 80% of uh this program economic divide dedicated to the way that this is impacted not only this really but also the gaza strip

hearing google management say that they are um work to uh to make the world better place like all oftech says um and they are standing up for the rights of palestinians um to not be bombarded by um uh by israel using google technologies. we know that google's fired is used by israel. we know that it's used by the idf and documents came out recently that show that it is used as part of the current genocide in gaza. yeah, no, the mcdonald's boycot in israel is certainly showing to be very effective. the mcdonald's there supported the israeli troop. by giving them free meals uh and which is what sparked the initial boycott few weeks ago, and since then the entire franchise in israel for mcdonald's

has lost so much money that the parent company based out of chicago has to had to buy back its franchises, they cannot show a loss for any mcdonald's around the world, so this was their only move which is to buy it back to take it out of the control of the franchises. disease and we're going to start seeing other companies go the same way? no, that is such an important question, so i think that so much attention is given to what happens on the battlefield and the tragic loss of life of innocent palestinian women and children, and the tens of thousands that some have called a genocide, but i think that the real battle or... how this conflict will be decided may not take place on the battlefield, but to use a term from clausuits on war that the real center of gravity is the

economy and the relationship that israel has with the united states. well, i think you have to put this in the historical context, which is what the state of israel is doing is actually to apply colonial practices which the west has been engaged in since 1492 when cumbus columbus first landed in the bahamas and actually destroyed the entire taino population of the bahamas, the method of controlling a population which is colonized is still extent in canada where i've been for 15 years and in the usa, and it's part of the colonial history of the usa. so it it's baked into the way that the usa conducts itself and later we'll be discussing, but i think israel is essentially a client state of the usa in many respects. well, as i say, you know,

given the way in which israel is running the war and running the economy to support the war, israel can only sustain the war and its cost as long as support from the united states, europe and the israeli diaspora continues. first of all, as as far as europe is concerned, as you know, more and more european governments like spain and ireland in particular have become extremely critical of israel, support for israel will decline and if the governments remain step first then they will face internal opposition which will be mounting. "the appetite of this regime for death and destruction is so strong that some have
