expansion was yet part of a grim, unchecked ambition and blatant disregard for human rights and international law, where the aspirations of some trample over the rights and lives of many. mushrooming across palestine, these illegal settlements had inflicted immense suffering on palestinian communities, worsening an already desperate situation. families found themselves stripped their homes, leaving them bereffed of mental, physical and economic security. the relentless expansion of settlements coupled with the evictions of palestinians often led to the devastating loss of livelihoods, pushing more families deeper into. poverty, but the damage didn't stop there, each

settlement expansion was synonymous with the uprooting of palestinian trees, the destruction of cultivated land and a systematic discrimination in the management of water resources, all skewed in favor of the settlers. now let's fast forward to the day just before o october 7th, gaza had been held in suffocating grip for decades, an open air prison, so to speak, without israel's permission. no one could enter or exit. israel controlled the crossings like taps, they could turn on and off. the regime wanted to know exactly what was going into gaza, to the point that it kept palestinians there a calory. control diet. in 2022, a staggering
