wake of milestone, a grim milestone of the one-year anniversary of the genocide in gaza, we have been seeing such gatherings across the world, today we witnessed certain european countries. such as germany, the netherlands, denmark, people taking part in anti-israel rallies in the capital cities in particular, and now we are witnessing a similar rally on the other side of the globe and new york city. with protesters carrying

symbols of the the palestinians such as their flag, the kafia scarf. the face of evil, he's only one person of the whole machine that is behind you, a colonial. an imperialist machine that has been committing genocide against our people since nine since 1492, these bombs are not just created in the us, these airplanes are not
10:36 pm
just creating in the us, the strategies and the tactics of where and when and what to throw our people? it's organized and planned and and studied in the us and the rest of european powers, the european archive that existed in india and in africa and latin america and and in asia, all of that has been kept and studied by the scientist movement to repeat it exactly in ghazza and in palestine. the two and wisstream colonial powers have been inventing means and and ways to massacer our people, to force them to surrender to their way of life, to force them to see european alignment as the only way for them
10:37 pm
to start to survive. what's happening in hassa today with this blind andconditional? support from the us and from the rest of the colonial powers, it's not just a war between sitler colonial project and indigenous people of that land, this is a war between evil ideologies and good in the global side, the people of passa today, and i'm not trying to romanticize other people and kha, because it's unfair for them, but also examinates us and removes and strips any sense of responsibility that we all to ourselves to protect these people, but the people of ghazza did not choose to to to be born in palestine, they did not choose their colonizers, they did not tell the european

powers export you toish population to fix your problem our expense by colonizing our land. however, the people of haz were giving two choices, surrender evil or fight for your life, and we know over 350 days that the people of gazza has chosen to live and die in dignity. people of kha know that the cost of surrendering is much worse than the cost of fighting back, they know, they know that the destruction of their homes, the destruction their churches and masks, the elimination of

their children and women is now as worse as the swipping of dignity, the destruction of their homeland and the surrender. to european and american imperialism, they know that israel is a temporary problem in our area, they know that if they surrender now, their problem will last forever, however if they fight now, they will seek freedom in the next generation. we we talk about european and american support to this sitler colonial project, this genocidal regime, this project that aims illuminate the natives of that region and in that home land of palestine, we
10:40 pm
have to understand that as mentioned before that the people of gazza did not choose to fight, they had no option but to fight, but they're not only fighting israeli occupation. israeli colonialism and israeli oppression, they are fighting world greed, they're fighting against capitalism, they're fighting against. action, they're fighting, they're fighting against exploitation of our resources, they're fighting against the destruction of africa with the scramble of resources, they're fighting, they're fighting for the exploitation of cheap labor, they're fighting for every ounce of dignity that we're losing as humanity. "the people know and they recognize that they are at the

center, the epicenter of the world attack on human dignity. what we are facing and what we're witnessing today in the goals of globalization of cultural imperialism, in the ideas that the rest of the world must follow the leader of the world, so call..." the world us now, we are receiving some live images from new york, you can see a crowd that have gathered to protest against israeli crimes in palestine and lebanon, a massive rally is now taking place in the city of new york, to get more details. about that, we are joined by our correspondent rachel hamdun who
10:42 pm
was also in new york. rachel, tell us where exactly you are, are you close to this uh rally and what exactly is happening? good evening, can you hear me? yes, rachel, if you could please tell us more about the rally, where are you, are you close to that venue? yes, yes, good evening, first of all to you and to our viewers who are joining us right now, i am currently in new york city right here in times square, where protesters are gathered in order to mark the first anniversary, the first year of the genocide on naza and the continued aggression in lebanon by the israeli occupation force. uh we are also so the the one year anniversary
10:43 pm
is due in in two days and they're marking it today there are chanting to free palestine they are chanting also to demand the arrest of israeli occupation prime minister benjamin netanyahu this focus has been organized by many groups including the new york chapter of the palestinian we movement as well as the new york city discenters. group as well as the people's forum and writers against the war on razza and many other groups as well, this counts is the second protest this week, they had one on saturday which which preceded the events in in lebanon since last week since israel began its continued aggression on the capital of beiguond in lebanon, starting with the pagjor attacks and then the indiscriminate bombing of the capital, southern lebanon, the batman. and lot of the continued genocide as well in a so here we
10:44 pm
have new york city, the streets are filled with the protesters here to stand up for the resistance against the occupation for the resistance against the colonizer that is the israeli occupation so uh rachel, how big is this demonstration and uh yes go ahead, oh yes it's it's quite big, we can see times square uh is... build right now we can see lot of roads being blocked by the uh new york police department uh we have people from from all ages uh young old uh people from all over the city are are joining right here at times square so rachel uh are you expecting any uh significant figures that might attend the rally and um in a way uh create more uh let's say media cover. for their presence in this rally, so we have seen notable figures who
10:45 pm
have joined before, including candidate jill stein, we've seen journalists from from all over the globe, so far we've had the speakers that happened from the organizing group, so far, notable figures have joined, but it would not be a surprised if they did the process hasn't started quite a... while ago it has been a short while so do you believe that the voices of the people who have gathered there in times square will be heard oh for sure for sure i mean again this this is this is the second protest uh they uh they did to last week when netanyahu uh came to the un and they demanded his arrest and uh then they uh protested on october 2nd after the indiscriminate bombings in bairut and today tomorrow the first year their voices are being heard and this is why they are coming down to the streets that every chance that they get uh because even though the
10:46 pm
government is continuing to supply the israel occupation with uh with weapons and arms that we all know where they are going to, the people are not giving up, the people are coming to the streets, because at the end of the day it is the voice that will be heard and should be heard. so uh rachel, are there any protests scheduled for the seventh of october as well? uh, we have some protests so far in new york city uh, so far there haven't been any scheduled for october 7th, however uh we will definitely find more information as "social media is uh is releasing a lot of these uh events uh so it wouldn't be a surprised if there was one on monday we do have lot of cities in in the us that are holding some as for new york i would definitely update that uh and rachel do you believe that this can in any way have any effect on us policies i mean could this
10:47 pm
affect members of the congress or uh how you did say that their voices will be heard" which means that it will have enough media coverage uh for this to have an impact, but what kind of impact can we expect? well, it is worth mentioning that the elections are coming up, so and and we do know it is, it is the people's voices that will be heard not just on the streets, but at the ballots as well, and we will see that in in november when people start voting, mean we have the uh the uncommitted movement uh that started in in michigan. for palestine and spreading to other states as well, so uh, so we will definitely see a significant impact again, not spon the streets, but at the ballots as well, that i believe will surely affect some type of policy when it comes to who the actual presidential candidate would be. uh, have you had a chance to talk to any of the people who are attending this demonstration?
10:48 pm
you did mention that there are people from all walks of life, young and old, from different backgrounds uh have... you talk to any of them? yes, yes, so far i have spoken to few people, uh, i get to talk to, i ampress to speak to the palestinian youth movement organizers in a while, but i have already spoken to uh to kids even who who are attending this protest uh, and i and i asked them, you know, how their voice, as as young people as uh, as as the young generation, how their voice would affect other kids as well to join. uh their voices were were very hopeful and they hope that their voices would reach as well other children who can see their counterparts in lebanon suffering the lord and and it was just very very emotional to see children wanting their their young and little voices to reach the world, so rachel,
10:49 pm
you did mention some of the slogans that are chanted by the people who are attending this um... demonstration, could you please be more specific about their demands? yes, yes, uh, the most notable devants are arrest netanyahu, freedom for palestine, free palestine, we've even seen a lot of chance in in spanish, viva palestina, we've seen, we've seen even writings in in arabic as well, that says that the uh resistance that is victory, so we've seen many... a cham, we've seen many slogans, the blackers as well in different types of languages that shows that they're all here for one cause and that pause is to free palestine from the israeli occupation and to end the aggression uh and the uh genocide as well against people uh have you also listened to any of the statements that
10:50 pm
are being uh read out loud we because we have the pictures of uh people taking to the podium and uh apparently reading a statement or something, are you aware of what that may entail? yes, yes, there are statements that have been read and few statements have uh have demanded that us uh stop arming israel uh that the us especially as i said the elections are coming up - they have uh they have asked people to uh to make sure that whoever it is that comes to office that they know that this genocide has to stop, that there isn't much go on, especially we we've seen a lot of people as well both on the podium and on the... around that say that this is our tax money that's going to the israeli occupation that is going uh to israely arms that at the end is ending up the
10:51 pm
genocide of the uh people of palestine and people of lebanon is there also a police presence there has the police been violent towards these uh demonstrators because you did say that time square is full of people has there been any disruption so no disruption has been witnessed, we are surrounded by uh police, the new york police department and and with barricades, one to separate traffic from the protest and and two uh they uh they've been uh surrounding and speaking to protesters, so far nothing violent has been reported. okay and uh rachel, has this type of demonstration been able to have an effect on uh the general public opinion, what i'm trying to ask you is that uh people who are just walking by, are they interested in knowing what exactly is happening and why this demonstration is
10:52 pm
taking place, asking maybe some questions from the people who are there, have you seen and this kind of interaction? yes, yes, i have seen a few people who who were walking uh along the along the sidewalk, they've uh, they've stopped in order to not only ask the protesters, but as well they've been grabbing. newspapers, lot of newspapers have been uh handed out not only to protestors but to bystanders as well uh that say uh one of them said the uh new york war of times and and the headline was was the simplest victory so we have seen a lot of people that have been in part standing and watching but have been in part as well uh asking the protestors about what today is about so it's safe to assume that even if "this kind of demonstration may not actually have an effect on uh us policies and or and it's uh support for israel, at least the public opinion in
10:53 pm
the us is changing, isn't it? people are becoming more aware of definitely is awareness, awareness especially through the protest is is spreading rapidly uh, for for example this, this protest is is lot larger than the one i've seen on october 2nd and even the week will see." exact so so we can see lot of people who are joining these protests more uh be it with bleach be it with friends be with organized uh conventions so so we can definitely see that awareness is spreading more and more especially as the elections even near so we're going to see uh as you said maybe that won't affect uh the policy as much however public opinion does play a huge role and seeing that on ground specifically uh and have you also seen any uh aggression, let's say anyone trying to
10:54 pm
disrupt this demonstration from ordinary people, mean not police necessarily, not not necessarily, however there have been a few people that have been walking by with the israely occupation flag uh, but no violence as i said has been reported so far, but there have been a few that happened. very much rachel, so if you could please give us updates later on regarding this demonstration that is currently underway in new york city, this is the latest in a string of demonstrations that have been taking place as we reach another grim milestone when it comes to the gaza genocide, the one year has passed, almost a year uh has passed since israel launched its genocidal war on the people of gaza, it has left over 40,000 people killed, over 90 thousand people injured, and today as we speak, the children
10:55 pm
of gaza are the children with the most amputated limbs in the world, so we will be giving you more updates regarding these demonstrations that have been held in different parts of the world, started in uh south africa, we covered that for you in cape town, and then in number of european cities, including paris, london, our correspondent sidpurad there also gave us an update, we also did receive some live images from amsterdam and from copenhagen and berlin, uh, and now in new york, we know that huge crowd is gathered in times square, according to our correspondent rachel hamdun who was there on the ground giving us an. we'll be bringing you more on that later in our news bulletin.

bombardment targeted refugee camps, schools, civilian apartment blocks, musks and the impoverished enclaves of battered populist, but the damage was already etched in history, as the days turn into a relentless passage of violence, the foundations of israel began to crumble like a fragile house of cards. sir tom phillips, a former british diplomat who served as ambassador to israel and the kingdom of saudi arabia, wrote on april 9, 2024 in haarats that hamas had succeeded in his objective of obtaining the release of as many palestinians held in israeli prisons as possible and of reasserting themselves as a forced to be reckoned with. اسرائيلي كان في
