there are also reports that the restaurant in hafa has suffered a direct hit, the israeli military presses ahead with its aerial attacks across southern lebanon more than two weeks into the regime's aggression against the arab country. in beirrut, israely war planes targeted several areas, including a gas station in dahya area. there was no immediate report of casualties. the israeli military also struck. in central lebanon, leaving at least six people dead and number of other civilians injured. the regime says its attacks which have intensified in recent weeks, target weapons depots and military infrastructure, belonging to his buldha. lebanon's health ministry says over 2,0 people have so far been killed in israeli attacks since last october, most of them in the recent spate of airstriks. our beirut

initiative aimed to pressuring israel to comply with international law through economic and cultural boycots. since its launch in 2005, the bds has involved into global force and amed the ongoing assault on gaza, its relevance and impact have become more profound. this approach is crucial in isolating and weakening israel, stripping it of legitimacy and curbing its regional ambitions. israel seeks dominance in west asia through diplomacy, technology and industry, but boycotts and sanctions can hinder its move. recently, israel allocated over $500 million dollars to counter the international impact of the boycott movement. as a peaceful resistance, boycott unites justice-seeking people from all backgrounds, making it a key tool which can be exercised by average individuals across the world again. the israeli aggression. in 2023, the bds campaign targeted companies like puma and

helued paccord for profiting from the occupation. over 200 organizations called for puma's divestment and 22% of european universities backed bds pulling millions from companies involved in israeli settlements. major firms like ben and jerry's and g4s ended operations in the occupied territories and european pension funds divested billions from israeli. there has been progress in the boycott movement, but the occupation persists because it remains profitable with little international accountability. or effective sanctions. while improvements are noticeable, more effort is needed. the boycott was once more widespread, but now there's a growing popular boycott in arab and muslim countries, which we hope continues as the true nature of the occupation becomes clearer. but despite its growing momentum, the bds movement has not been without opposition. governments including the united states and germany have

"we are a player and we should not be complicit with this government in in israel that is engaging in genocide and trying to provoke a bigger war. demonstrators remembered the tens of thousands of victims in gaza and also the victims in lebanon and syria. protesters also called for an end to israel's aggression against lebanon in order to stop further escalation into a regional war. among the many campaigns was a campaign of..." hundreds of trade unionists who are raising awareness both in their workplaces and outside about the necessity of fighting for an end to the bloodshed in gaza. we are trying to show that

the trade union movement is support of the uh struggle of the palestinian people for a cease fire. we want to end the arm shipment from canada to israel and we are fighting very strongly for uh an end to the war and the end of the killings that we're seeing in gaza and now in lebanon. every aspect of life has been, um, completely destroyed in palestine by israel, and so it is essential for workers here to say, we will not participate in the genocide of the palestinian people, and as workers, we identify with them. um, our pensions, our pensions are enrolled in in funds that fund genocide, that's unacceptable to workers, so we're fighting that, we don't want our money, the work from our labor to go toward it. today's march kicks off series of actions that will include vigils, student walkouts, and other protest actions over the coming
