just one week prior to operation alaxso flood, gallup completed its poll on palestinians in gaza, conducted between july and september 2023. the findings were telling, people living in gaza were disproportionately struggling to afford food, 57% of people. in gaza said they could not afford food at time in the past 12 months. the same was true of shelter, the inability to afford shelter matched its record high in gaza before the conflict with 29% struggling to afford adequate shelter. according to gallup's basic needs vulnerability index, which measures people's ability to afford food and shelter and their social safety nets, two-thirds of... residence in gaza that
