9:02 am
uh take place a tiny strip of land, while the israely regime officials have openly called for the extermination of the population, even uh suggesting dropping nuclear bombs, none of it would have been possible without the us military assistance to the israeli regime, as reported by our correspondent mutyaba musaba from the gaza strip. as the whole world stands by and watches with shock the unspikable scale of israel is horror unfolding in gaza, the united states still of enables the regime to continue its relentless attacks on the palestinian territories by supplying it with all sorts of weapons. no wonder the us administration is completely complicit in the genocide of gaza as it still maintains its military and political support. this support is the life blood of the israeli occupation. because without it, israel would
9:03 am
never be able to continue its destructive war against gaza strip for the time being, and commit these massacres in front of the eyes of the whole world. the american support for the israeli occupation has never been confined to the armed supplies. washington has also politically supported the regime, shielding it from any un resolution aimed at obbliging israel to atlas to stop its genocide in gaza. it is a disgrace to this administration to be key partner in this genocide. this reveals the hypocrisy of the us administration. the blood of the palestinian people is on the hands of the american leadership, due its open support for of the israeli regime. in an extension of the shameful support, the spokespersons in the white house have spared no efforts dispute the lies and the claims produced by the israeli propaganda machine aim at justify.
9:04 am
the massacres against the innocents in gaza. after year of this unicidal war on gaza, fueled and disponsored by the us administration. many people around the world of have deeply realized that the us of administration is key partner in this genocidal war against gaza. press tv, the middle area of gaza strip. well, let's find out. extent that the us is involved when it comes to this genocidal onslot against the palestinians in the gaza strip. joining us from san francisco, we have scott bennet, former us army psychological warfare officer. scott bennet, welcome today is october 7th, operation flood is uh when uh this happened, we're looking a year uh at this point, which is a grim milestone, i'm sure you'll agree, really we have talked and it has been discussed at length of the us involvement in this in terms of the military support it has given the regime, but i'd like to find from
9:05 am
you, if it's just the matter of uh the israel regime placing orders for military uh armaments and for the us to provide it, or are we looking a more extensive cooperation that the us has had with the israeli regime when it comes to this genocidal war? well, let's remember this genocidal war that the israelis have been waging has been decades old, it's only become critical in the last year, but for decades upon decades the israelis have been... torturing and of tormenting the palestinian people, throwing tens of thousands of them into prison, uh, they are the true hostages and torturing them, performing all sorts of perverse, violative acts upon these palestinian prisoners and in encouraging their psychopathic settlers to also engage in terrorism against places like the west bank and to storm. prisons with the religious
9:06 am
demand to rape the male prisoners, that should tell you lot about the psychotic mentality in these demonically possessed fanatics in israel, so this has been going on for decades, and of course they've been destroying mosques and holy sites, and i of think the october 7th uh uh marks uh kickback against that, but it also represents very uh suspicious uh netanyahu sort of 9/11 plan where they engineered their response and uh delay tactics and things to make this look like a a war, when in fact it never should have been, it uh should have been immediately settled, the united states should have immediately ceased and dessisted all uh shipments to israel, azerbaijan should have stopped pumping oil to israel, turkey at least should have... have stopped allowing
9:07 am
the uh pumping of oil to israel, and none of this would have happened, but instead, all of these partners, all of these agencies and countries have been dearelecting their duty at best, and equally psychotic and murderous at worse, because they have allowed israel to systematically demolish and pulverize and murder every man, woman and child in palestine, in the west bank in gaza, with the ambitions of total conquest is in pursuit of a greater israel project, and that has been their true agenda for decades, to expand the geographic footprint. all right, thank you for that. uh, we actually have our correspondent musa joining us from the gaza strip uh wie, welcome, october 7th is here, uh, we just um, are looking at this genocide continuing, uh, the particular report that uh, you prepared uh shows the u.s. involvement when it comes to this, uh, but aside from just bombs, tell us the extent of
9:08 am
damage that these bombs have had uh when it comes to the types of injuries that the palestinians have sustained, because some of these bombs are unconventional from what we understand, but give us your overview first a october 7th uh today being that day and again the extent of injuries that the palestinians have received because of these us bombs and with palestinians in the gaza strip think about the us overall before talking about this topic precisely let me say that the last night was horrific for the palestinian people because for the second day in a row there israel forces targeted alaxa uh hospital to a container taken shilter by the splace people hearing in the alaxa martes hospital were stuck by the israeli war planes over the last night, luckily no palestinian casualties were reported as a consequence, but this uh actually uh presents another evidence that the israel incubation forces are sell element the policy of unaliving the palestinan people as the people in gaza are opening the park of
9:09 am
the second year on this unicidal war on gaza step. actually when it comes to the consequences of this genocidal war on gaza we are talking about something. unbelievable and unprecedented at all levels, because as you know uh the aftermathes of this genocidal war against gaza which is reached and touched everything in gaza strip, we are talking about every life aspect being touched and influenced negatively by the israeli accubition forces and guess what, this is completely systematic, we are talking about systematic and intentional attacks carried out in order carried out by the israelicubation forces in order to return gaza to be an unlivable place and this is actually why happening on the ground, you are not talking about the parestinian casualties and that's it, you are not talking about the numbers of the palestinian people who are being killed day and night and the number of the parestinan people got wanted day and night as well, we are talking about a thorough and a complete destruction of the life in gaza strip, this is why they are
9:10 am
still targeting every life aspect in gaza strip and as we have mentioned before that every tiny detail of our daily life as palestinian people under this genocidal war become becomes story of suffering for. palestinan people because wherever you turn your eyes you would find the stories and layers of suffering and this suffering is exacibating a daily basis as a result of the ongoing and the continuous genocidal war. when it comes to the palestinian casualties as we are talking about roughly 41,870 palestinian civilians have been reportedly killed and this number is sing servicing incrementally as a result of the ongoing israeli air strikes and attacks targeting and hitting everywhere in gaza state. and guess what, many of those palestinian civilians who have been reportedly killed actually sucum to their once, they sustained as a result of the israel attacks and many of them actually passed away and died of as you know the severe shortage of the basic medical uh supplies and and and and the medical care
9:11 am
they need and as you know the israel incubation forces since day one of this genocidal war have uh systematically targeted the gaza civil the gaza health sector so this left people in a situation because we have witnessed lot of the palestinian people who came and who were put to the alaxa samatas hospital and they didn't uh they didn't receive the medical care they need, thus they passed away, so this reveals another aspect the suffering of the palestinian people once again it's not about the palestinian casualties, we are talking about a systematic war uh orchestrated against the palestinian people in order to reduce gaza to be an unliveal place and this is another... dog side and it is the imbidded uh aim of this genocidal war against gaza which is about pushing the palestina to despies life and gaza stip and to push the people to leave gaza strip. thank you so much for that, we do appreciate it our correspondent there from daraballa. i really like to thank multi for being with us throughout all this time uh we
9:12 am
just uh saw some of the footage there of uh not only inside the hospitals but the types of injuries as a result of the us uh providing uh these bombs uh that has rained down on the palestinians. in the gaza strip, but switching gears now, let's take a look at another aspect of this war and that's the regional uh resistance groups, we'd like to take a look at uh what that is all about when it comes to what they have done, for example uh the group uh out of iraq uh targeted occupied palestine like haifa and haifa port, these are some of the groups that you see over here, in order to put pressure on the israely regime to stop the genocide, um, the islamic resistance in iraq is just one of such groups which has been very active, this is uh umbrella group that uh comprised of what we are about to see, number of groups, as you see the logos, in total we're looking at roughly uh about 62 groups um that uh comprise the raqi resistance groups and the pur is to drive u.s. forces out of iraq and out of syria. now, add to that, there's solidarity with palestinians in a form of
9:13 am
mission statement. you see, the solidarity with palestinians in gaza, and the grave injustices by the occupying entity. goes to say in their mission statement that they will continue to hit enemy strongholds, warning that more is yet to come. so that is what their mission statement states, and in terms of what they have done, well, let's take a look at what they uh executed in just one operation. it targeted high for port. from iraq distance of 700 kilometers, that's quite a range and quite a feet, something that they have done in joint operations in the past with the yemeni army as well, so these joint operations uh taking place, you have the the iraqi resistance group targeting the port of hyfa, all with the soul aim of wanting to stop the israeli regime from waging this genocidal war against the palestinians. scott bennet is with us, we also have our other guest. sad nimmer, professor at the political science at bersett university uh who joins us. let me um, let me go with you. i'm sorry,
9:14 am
we don't have us, we don't have our uh guest side member uh with us, uh, we have our guest from nairobi joining us. uh, let me start with our guest there in nairobi, welcome to the program. we just talked about the joint operations taking place uh between the resistance groups, but in particular uh our focus in this particular graphic we just ran had to deal with the iraqi um group, the islamic resistance in iraq. uh targeting the israeli regime, but overall uh, give us your view of how effective their efforts have been, targeting occupied palestine and the israeli regime, mainly because no international body or mechanism has prevented the israel regime from uh targeting the palestinians uh and preventing the genocide from taking place. um, i think it's important uh for us to first of all, knowledge that the events of october 7th, it's a clear was
9:15 am
indeed a clear manifestation that the zionist army, idf is not invincible, that it can be defeated, and for and from the day the october 7 happened to date, idf has not achieved its military objectives either in either in defeating hamas in gaza or even defeating other resistants members of the resistant axis like hez bola or the resistance groups in iraq or even the resistance group in yemen. actually, it has clearly proved the correct line that wherever there is oppress. there is resistance and that the only way, the correct way to move
9:16 am
zealously to victory for the palestinian people, there's other way other than resistance. the events of october 7th also disrupted the normalization of relationship of other arab countries and other countries with the zionist entity called israel. remember at that at the height of that moment there was a normal normalization of the of apethy, normalization of repression, normalization of occupation, some of the arab countries were already getting into diplomatic relationship with palestine, but the resistant axis said we are going to destroy this normalization and remind the world that the carnage that is taking place in gaza, particularly gaza that had been living an an open. prison for several years, it was time for them to break it and make
9:17 am
sure that they remind the world that we exist and we are still resisting. now for the iraki resistance group and the painful, you know, the painful, offensive against the zionis entity and the port of anipa, it only also confirms that even though the zionist entity has the most powerful army, and it is being supported by one of the most powerful countries on earth, okay, the united states of america, but through the geerilla warfare. as tactic for advancing the offensive of the oppressed against thank you for that the oppressor, thank you for that, they are still advancing to actually make certain uh, you know wins over the zionist entity, so not any mighty army can destroy a people who are so determined to defend their homeland to fight
9:18 am
for self determination and the dignity of their people that they are. thank you so much, sorry to uh jumped in there because we want to get to uh scott bennett and i'd like to get to scott bennett, but before that, i'd like to uh talk about the democratic national convention uh event that took place uh in the us, this was on august 22nd, formally announcing the nomination of vp camala harris as the presidential candidate, now this is what she had to say when it came to the us israel genocide in the gaza strip. with respect to the war in gaza, president biden and i are working around the clock, because now is the time to get hostage deal and a cease fire deal, done, and let me be clear, and let me be clear, i will always stand up for israel's right to defend itself, and i
9:19 am
will always ensure israel has the ability to defend. itself, because the people of israel must never again face the horror that a terrorist organization called hamas caused on october 7. unspeakable. camala harris there, did you notice how he's she said that there needs to be a ceasefire to come about, and before she could even finish that sentence practically, she said that israel has the right to... defend itself, which this wavering support means that israel is going to be provided with us weapons to attack hamas fighters, to attack the palestinians in the gaza strip, putting out false notion that the us is all for ending the genocide, in continuation, this is what she said, what has
9:20 am
happened in gaza over the past 10 months is devastating. so many innocent lives lost, desperate, hungry people fleeing for safety over and again, the scale of suffering is heartbreaking. president biden and i are working to end this war, such that israel is secure, the hostages are released, the suffering in gaza ends and the palestinian people can. realize their right to dignity, security, freedom and self-determination. okay, let's find out what a guess things there in san francisco. scott bennet, uh, i don't think i need to ask the question because it's pretty obvious, but it's interesting how that is the way that the us
9:21 am
politicians, in this case, the future presidential candidate, is shaping the psychy the americans, at least in... let alone across the us. tell us your impression of the statements that were made there by camala harris. it is truly sickening hypocrisy to hear this liar up there spouting out these propaganda slogans that are fed to her by the massad by the cia uh puppet masters. remember the american congress is owned and controlled by israel. it has been since 1948 increasingly. so she is spouting. off uh the netanyahu comments, netanyahu has never wanted to save any hostages, he's wanted to kill them all and have them dead to justify his war. in fact, he's orders his soldiers to kill them when they come out of bunkers waving white flags, he's he's uh killed everything that moves, including six-year-old girls, so this uh carefully worded rhetoric
9:22 am
is for the mindless idiots that occupy the american election on both sides, trump side is... equally ignorant of many of the the facts of this, but it's the israeli talking points. this has never been about hostages, it's all about, it's been about a broader war, and the resistance resistance groups that are growing are going to grow a hundred times more, and their patience up until now has been noteworthy, but i think they are very well prepared to do to israel what israel has done to gaza, and i think if they coordinated their efforts from iran, iraq, syria, lebanon, yemen, pulverizing every israeli bank, every israeli civilian airport, every israeli dance club. every israeli hotel, every israeli lejure and recreational facility, no one would want to remain in israel because there would be nothing there but to exist, and you'd see israelis leave
9:23 am
and go back to europe and the united states, russia and elsewhere, that's the real achilles heel of israel, it is dependent its diaspora to return to israel and live, but if you reverse the polarity and due to israel what it's been doing to palestine and... for decades, you would see the israelis flee like rats exposed beneath the light, because they're cowards, they do not fight men with guns, they kill women and children in innocent lives that are uh, stowed away in in their their their hotels and their homes and i think israel is shown its true colors and what we talked about before, israel will never be trusted again by any any... mininded nation, nor will the united states. the united states has destroyed its reputation, it no longer has seat at the table of diplomacy. the only nation that is trusted is
9:24 am
russia as well as iran and china to a certain degree, but with the emergence of the russian iranian, chinese trilateral relationship and and the defense treaties and economic treaties, okay? you're seeing the entire world shifting away from nato and the west. over to bricks and the new emerging multipolar world, and the first thing they should do in october for the bricks meeting is declare, no country that does what israel does, no genocidal country, no apartide state will have any role in the bricks relationship, the bricks economic forum, and no country in bricks should have any consular, diplomatic or any kind of a relationship with a genocidal maniac that uh does what israel has been doing, 'if they want to change the world for the better, they have to extinguish these dark flames of death and madness, which eminates out of israel. that's right, thank you so much for that,
9:25 am
scottman, we do appreciate it. well, let's take a look at life in the gaza strip in terms of how it's transpired in the past 17 years, because it's been a siege, the siege has prevented all kinds of problems for the residence there, the the crossings, which is the lifeline for the gosons, well the they are controlled by the israeli regime, from food to any basic supplies construction'. material, you name it, it's all controlled by the regime, especially when it comes to food, even the sea is restricted to the fishermen who venture out for getting a meal for their family. gaza's fishing waters have seen increasing restrictions with the israeli military enforcing in no fishing zone and imposing limitations, even in areas of gaza's coast declared by israel to be safer. humanitarian zones, fishermen have been targeted by the regime's warships, they fire shells and life ammunition directly at fishing boats without any prayer warning.
9:26 am
even before the war, fishing was rare and the fishing zone was limited. whoever dared to venture beyond was directly shot or captured. i myself cannot count the times i got arrested or shot at by the occupation forces. as far as i know, more and 100 fishermen were killed, many other fishermen were injured and boats damaged, fishing vessels were completely banned from entering the crossings. this army is criminal and only shoots to harm the people. economic hardship is evident along gaza's coast. with their primary source of income threatened, the more than 5,000 fishermen of gaza are struggling to provide for the families. the sea, which for generations have provided sustenance and livelihood now simplizes a perilous struggle for survival. after the genocidal war, the hostilities escalated significantly. even if you survive the israeli attacks, people
9:27 am
cannot afford to buy your fish nowadays. it is expensive for them. i used to say six to nine miles inside the sea. however, now i cannot go in more than 500 meters. it is very dangerous. before the genocidal war in gaza, fishium men suffered hugely due to the continual israeli closure of a crossings as well. as a pan on fishing tools and maintenance equipment, this hindered the work and limited their source of income. from 12 miles to 9 miles then to five miles only, the fishing zone has shrunk and the israeli authorities have gradually tightened their grib on fishing in the past 10 years. however, after the war, fishermen can only sail 500 away from the seashore, and there are still no guarantees the... won't be shot. the fishermen of gaza driven by the sea that once nurtured them are now patteling for their very survival and for the basic rights
9:28 am
to... live to work and to provide for one's family amids the harsh realities of the war. gada ibrahim balah press tv. anti-israely protests have been a hamark since the us israel war broke out against the palestinians especially in the us. now although many sectors of the population have been involved, one sector in particular has been more active and more aware than others, and that has been the students, as you can see. here in terms the campuses, particularly obviously in the us. well, college campuses around the world have become hubs of protest during this genocidal war against israel's war that was being waged by the palestinians in gaza, powerful new wave of activism that has forced everyone to take notice. never before has a conflict in recent memory taken a hold of the population at large, but it does not come as a surprise since the daily death rate in gaza
9:29 am
is higher than any other. major 21st century conflict, well the us in particular has been ingolfed in the pro-palestine anti-israely protest, especially at college campuses, student protests have occurred, last count was 45 out of 50 states, and when it came to the district of colombia for example, there there were encampements, there occupations, whats or sidents that that were happening, and this again about 140 campuses, some of the notable campuses, the're called ivy league included. universities like princeton or harvard, mit, stanford, ndl. one university issued a statement by a coalition of harvard student groups. the statement said that we hold the israeli regime accountable for all the unfolding violence. millions of palestinians in gaza have been forced to live an open air prison and called on harvard to take action to stop the ongoing annihilation of palestinians. now another. demand of the
9:30 am
university students were the issue of divestments, most called on universities to divest from companies that support israel and the genocidal war. those are the list of some the universities there that you see in terms the status of them, it's called the iv league. now in terms of the endowments, this is what we're looking at, they're flush with money, take a look at these endowment figures is quite incredible like harvard $50.9 billion for the year 2023, quite... incredible if you ask me, but what stood out was the deep knowledge that the protesters had when it came to palestinian resistance, from al-qassam brigades, as they talked about in some of the placards, you make us proud, take another regime force out, and hamas, we support your rockets or hamas, we love you even,
