tv Sobh Interview with Ali Shoaib PRESSTV October 7, 2024 10:00am-10:31am IRST
10:00 am
powerful alliance of nations, not only russia, china and iran, but all of the of african and asiatic and middle eastern, global south nations are are on the side solidly of not just the palestinians, but the of overall concept of justice, remember israel is a war criminal, it has been judged a war genocidal power that uh really is illegitimate and has no uh rights even be in of this territory and arrest warrants have been sworn out by the international court of justice, and i think this will replicate another courts, so uh, this this madness that netanyahu is pursued, i think ultimately will only result in the implosion of the israeli government, the exodus of the israeli people out of israel, and if donald trump is so stupid to think that he can uh expand israel's project, perhaps get another gold coin made in his image, or somehow uh get
10:01 am
building named after him, he's a fool, and uh, but of course that is what animates the american political registry now, are fools and liars and hypocrites and lessivious, lustful retarded people, there are no statesmen, diplomats or thinkers in the american government, instead they're all compromised slaves to israel, sure, thank you for that, of course we have to wait and see who's in the white house, but doesn't even really matter, maybe that's a... and i need to ask uh um you later uh book, thank you so much for your patience, before i come to you, i'd like to take a look at uh one of the aspects that emerged when it came to this um us israel genocidal onslot and that is an agency of which the israel regime actually targeted uh in terms of that agency it's uh uh called anrawa and the reason behind that is uh multifold, but as we're about to see based on uh what we have over here, if we can uh take a look at that, let's see what uh this say... is all about, you may have heard
10:02 am
of it, uh, the name is anwa, and uh, this is a controversy that brewed up the united nations relief and work agency, works agency, which serve the palestinian refugees overall um in the region, and of course uh, the refugees uh from palestine are quite a few because of the knockba. moving to the next frame, if we can uh see uh the types of purposes that uh anra serves. um, this is uh, what it is, basically, "the year 1949 was when it was founded, um, the reason behind the uh creation of this agency was because of the fact, as i just mentioned, you have the uh 1948 nakba, that is when uh the palestinians were forcibly displaced based a decision that was made uh out of uh palestine for uh the jews to be settled in this part of the world uh because of that there were forceful displacement of the palestinians and at that point uh you had 700 thousand palestinians that were..." displaced as a
10:03 am
result of that uh unra therefore uh was created in order to see if it could uh serve these uh palestinians were displaced and uh they were spread the palestinians were spread in different parts of west asia uh let's take a look at uh the reasons behind that if we can go to the next graph we understand how when uh this agency was founded but if we can go and see the different countries that this was involved in again uh agency was formed because of the nakbah, the number of displaced palestinians that were um that had arisen from that point on uh was uh roughly about 700,00 palestinians. so uh, moving to the next uh piece of graph, we can see the different countries that uh uh the palestinians uh had were forced to go to because of the displacements displacements that happened uh, this is what we're looking at in terms of the services that anra actually present. to them, you had education,
10:04 am
you had healthcare, these are obviously things that affect palestinian's daily lives, you had social services that the palestinians were in need of, and uh, you also had infrastructure, so unra was not just an agency that delivered food, for example, you had the different sectors, we picked the ones that we thought were important, especially when it comes to things like healthcare. now, let's move to the next piece, and uh, we hopefully can see where the palestinians have been displaced based on uh, the number of refugees, here you have it, 5.9 million refugees, roughly 6 million if you can believe that, jordan, there's 2,36,00, that's 39.1% of the 5.9 million, the gaza strip, 24.5%, 1 million almost five there, uh, the occupied west bank, 17%, 1 million th, so you can see the palestinians that are spread out, and this agency was pivotal in bringing some of the services that we just covered in that uh particular breakdown of uh what unrus. and
10:05 am
the reason behind that is one of the things the agency did was distribution factors of delivering food or medical help or education to the palestinians. um so we can uh move to the next uh graph that we have here for that, it will show the ultimate purpose behind the way that the isil regime targeted onra now onraw needs money to run, you have that much money that was pledged back in 2022 uh you have the different uh number of uh camps that uh it actually has 58 we mentioned the refugee as in terms of the totals 5.9 million almost 6 million and here are the breakdown the different uh uh sectors education and healthcare and the number of uh, i guess schools and students that unraserves, very big impact that this has on the daily lives of uh palestinians and of course the gaza strip is part of that, so the israel regime
10:06 am
along with the us brought about a controversy that unra and its members were part of hamas, okay uh if we can see uh perhaps what that really means in terms of uh um purpose behind that, so this is the actual accusations, remove andra is what the israel regime proposed with the banking of the us and brought along with our allies, other organizations of the unhcr were also targeted because of this, and uh, this is why they did that, they want to remove palestinian refugee status because they want to eliminate the right of return, again, part of this huge effort behind the israel regime, in different ways to try to make sure that the eliminate the right of return of palestinians to their land, so that's what we're looking at in terms of honora. this was a big deal and it still remains a big deal, of course there's hardly anything left uh from the gaza strip. now let's get an idea uh from booker on this,
10:07 am
boocher, i mentioned onrow because it's a big deal of the service they have provided the palestinians in different countries in the west asia region, but also in particular in the gaza. strip and we could see the purpose behind why the israel regime wanted is funding to be cut and therefore to have the palestinians to suffer even more. what are your thoughts about that? i think this only confirms again that the united states imperialism is not just complicit about the genocide in gaza, but also is actively supporting the genocide, because remember, unr accusations were not based any hard evidence that this uh humanitarian agency was being used as a conviable to train militarily or even to advance servive attacks against
10:08 am
the zionist entity, but like the united states and the zionist regime always do is that they manufacture believabilize to make sure that they can discredit. any organization that stands in solidarity with the struggle of the palestinian people eventually destroyed, in fact the collective punishment, that is one of the you know the the issues around the genocidal zionist entity, it basically means to cut off any humanitarian support to the most vulnerable people that needs it. if you deny people access to medicine, you deny people access to healthcare, you deny people access to education in the name of you know having the right to self-secure yourself, this is not
10:09 am
you know anything that makes logical sense um that people can believe that you can carry out a collective punishment against innocent population ' and then deny them any little life privileges that is being offered by humanitarian agency like unrua and even bring out all sorts of accusations against them to make sure that the suffering of the innocent displaced palestinian people cannot in any way get any relief in terms of trying to reorganize their life or even trying to run away from war or... even the most undeniable right, for example, the right to return, after the nak, the right to return to for for after the the war is done, the the palestinian people has undeniable right that they should go back to the land and try to reconstruct their lives before the war, but
10:10 am
the the calculated attack on humanitarian agency, in fact it's not just unr, the other organization. within the occupied territory of palestine that have been bombed, they are humanitarian workers that have been murdered and killed by this zionist entity that does not respect even the killing of the nurses, the doctors and the red cross workers, all these are only meant to devastate the lives the palestinian people, whose only problem is to stand up against the genocidal israel and to say, we want to live like human beings in a country called palestine, where we can all exercise our rights, you know as human beings, and when this war this genocidal war against the palestinian people was continuing, remember that uh with the help of... the united states and particularly involving the the the zionist army, many
10:11 am
humanitarian trucks that were carrying food were carrying essentials like medicine that were gear towards assisting the most vulnerable children and women in palestine after they were literally bombed by the zionist entity were blocked from accessing these needs and in fact they only have certain hypocritical campaign. where the united states was actually beaming that they are dropping you know humanitarian aid through their helicopters and um this is not just sufficient but this is only meant for a show the only acting to demonstrate to the world that at least they are doing something but you cannot tell me that you kill humanitarian workers you attack the humanitarian agencies like unrah you block the access for basic essentials like medicine and food to the palestinian people. to
10:12 am
actually sustain the lives in the occupied palestinian, so the okay, the failure of the international community and the international law in the face of the united states imperialism only demonstrate that the primary enemy of not just the palestinian people, but for the coexistence of peace in this globe that we all must mobilize the forces against that at this moment the fighting the palestine is the united states hegeemony is the united states imperialism let's hope that happens and my last question goes to you scott bent thank you for that booker my last question goes to you scott bennet i'm not too sure how to ask this question because i thought the whole thing was such fiasco even by us admission and that is about that uh uh that pier do you remember that pier they spend 350 million bucks for it i mean really what was that all about and they let it go to it i think the thing got destroyed and they made such a big deal out of it and then you had the thing uh flotilla coming uh that was proposed by the eu to come from cyprus to
10:13 am
bring food for the palestinians i mean really is that what the us is made of and the eu that they executed a project to help palestinian lives in that form of manner and it fell apart that way uh was it just for at that instant because they were being blasted by the world for the ginocidal onslot? well if you remember when this all kicked off on october 7th i think it was a week or two or three after that that we had a conversation on press tv and i said a floatilla from every bricks nation should go and land upon the shores of palestine and set up human aid tents and their embassies on the soil and say this is the embassy of china, this is the embassy of uh saudi arabia or africa or different portions and uh establish a presence to help the palestinians. that idea was listened to by the intelligence. services and i think they hijacked it, we also said peers could be set up and divisions of the
10:14 am
the palestinian territory secured, and they took that idea, and of course they used it to launch israeli military aids uh raids into gaza into killing hostages, in fact, so they listen to press tv, and it's ironic because i just had a friend of mine this weekend call me and he said, two fbi agents showed up at my door. two black guys with fbi badges saying, we want to talk to you about press tv, and he said, "no, thank you," and shut the door, but that tells you, press tv is on the cutting edge, it's terrifying the fbi, it's terrifying the united states government and the biden administration, because it's telling the truth. press tv is the only channel besides rt and others that tell the truth about this, tell it from a balanced, justice, humanitar. uh traditional point of view, which gains it a viewership from around
10:15 am
the world, that the west has nothing to sell except lies, hypocrisy, double talk and propaganda. thank you for that. scott bender, former us army psychological warfare officer, speak to us from san francisco and like to thank our guest b from the palestine solidarity campaign mov and thank you so much both to both of you for your contribution on this very uh important day uh finally um program, we're going to take a look at uh this uh particular uh man and his uh duty in terms of what he has done, his name is nooh al shagnobi who's a palestinian civil defense. member, let's take a look at this first clip in terms of what he is doing when it comes to this genocidal war, it's pretty shocking scenes, كابس على راسه الباطون تحت الطفل اخته اخته حضناه, okay, what you saw
10:16 am
this man doing from... the a civil defense uh member that he is is trying to pull out body from under that rubble, which it looked like - was a small boy uh, i'm from the looks of it pressumed dead just based on the initial uh um, guess of angle that that uh uh boy was being sh looked at by the camera uh, let's now see what he has to say in terms of his uh life there in the gaza strip, 10% 3. okay now remember the little child that assumed to be a boy that was under that rubble that he had to pick up with his spare hands because they have no um equipment of
10:17 am
any kind to help them assist pulling out the dead from the rubble. let's take a look at this next scene. boy was actually alive, that does for this edition of the program debunking the mid. thank you so much for being with us, we do appreciate you uh to us stay with us for uh next programs, we have one coming up uh tonight and for the next few days, from the entire team, it's goodbye, until the next
10:18 am
program. this is about people, who got silenced but kept fighting, supervision and controlling of freedom of speech only comes up when you're criticizing israel. 45 palestinian journalists behind israeli bars at the moment, they warn students that if they remain here they will be arrested. this is about the voices of palestine.
10:22 am
the night hear the cries of the small tunning voices whispering through the darkness the cold where is the world in its grandure and might what goes children tremble in fight. no food on the table, no medicine in sight, bombs raining down turning day into night, mother's last breath, father's dying cle, before the eyes of a child, what a tragedy to see, oh humanity, where have you gone, in the theater of cruelty, what role have we, we are the silence, we are the same, witness to the horror, we play the same game. rise, rise from your sleep, you're not here, the children weep, if this was your home, your blood, your kin, would you not fight, what
10:23 am
gets this sin, empty cradles, broken toys on the floor, the laughter is gone, they laugh no more, each day is a battle, each night tear, living in a world where hope disappears, the screams of baby to weak. do cry as the bones fall they ask why must we die and yet we sit in our comfort in our eas or the world burns and their cries we have peace oh humanity where have you gone in the theater of cruelty what rule have we drawn we are the silence we are the shame witness to the horror yep we play the saying rise rise of your sleep you you're not here, the children away, if this was your home, your blood, your kin, would you not fight, but guess this sin, shame on the leaders who turn
10:24 am
away, who watch as the innocent fall pray, but shame too on us, for we do the same, silent accomplices in this bloody game, so rise, oh hearts from the depths of your night, stand up. speak out for what is right, for the children of gaza, for the pain they bear, silence and let the world be f, we are humanity, we must reclaim the soul of the world, the far is too late.
10:25 am
welcome everyone to press tv's a special coverage on the one-year anniversary of operation alaxa flood. a uh comprehensive attack carried out on israeli settlers there by palestinian resistance factions led by hamas now uh it was october 7th this time last year in the early morning hours were abrodge of thousands of rockets hit southern occupied israeli te territories by palestinian uh resistance factions um this also led to the uh israeli on slot on gaza which also began same time last year it's at the one year mark and it's left over 42,00 palestinians dead in the besieged strip over half of them, women and children, over 16,00
10:26 am
children over 10,000 women an extremely tight blockade on the entry of humanitarian uh goods into the besege strip over the last uh year resulting in malnutrition and premature deaths of infants, just nightmare, over 90% the gaza population over the last year has been entirely displaced, some of them up to dozen times, trying to go places where are safer that the regime had uh declared safe zones only to be killed by the regime there, but we'll tell you more about operation the flood, why uh hamas carried it out throughout the day here um and reactions by world leaders to it, meanwhile joining us is yusuf mauri, our press tv correspondent uh from the eminy capital sun, there is a comprehensive protest, there are protest throughout the last couple days on the one-year anniversary and supported palestinians throughout the world will share information of those protests with you, but there is one now uh underway and the uh yemini city of sada where
10:27 am
thousands every week uh pour out actually after friday uh prayer prayers, but like as we mentioned today is the one-year anniversary of operation alexa flood, so yemeneses are out in the streets showing their support for palestinians, for lebanese and against israel. uh, yusuf maury from sona, pleasure to check in with you, good morning to you, bud, what's a mood like there with respect to the one-year anniversary of operation alxa flood? well, this is very special occasion. celebrated here in yemen and perhaps even in the rest of the muslim world, because the yemeny people believe that this is the day that the palestinian cause was once again brought to the attention of the muslim world, of the international community, before october 7, as you know, there was a there was a plot, there was a plan by israel, by the west and its allies for arab nations such as saudi arabia, the uae to normalize deals. with to normalize uh
10:28 am
diplomatic, political and economic ties with the israeli regime, and of course that plan was just the beginning of what is believed to be the expansion of an israeli empire uh throughout the entire region and perhaps the uh direct war that will be waged against countries like iran, countries like yemen, uh syria, iraq, lebanon, the access of resistance in general. "and it is believed that these arab regimes who wanted to normalize these ties with the the israeli regime, they had a plan, insidious plan from behind closed doors to wage a preemptive strike against the access of resistance nations, the nations which i i mentioned, however because of october 7, it foiled this plot temporarily at the very least, because what that operation did the october 7 flood
10:29 am
of..." operation is it basically took the fight to the israeli regime and instead of waiting on israel uh for preemptive strike instead of waiting on israel to uh surround and engulf the access of resistance and to try to eliminate the access of resistance members and factions and groups and nations one by one the flood of alux operation took the fight to them and as a result of that we see where the... axis of resistance stands today, more powerful, more resilient than ever before, more defined with the attacks that we have seen on fold over the past year from yemensar allah movement, it started in november 19 when because of the genocide that was being committed in palestine in gaza, yemenese naval forces, they captured and seized the israeli length galaxy leadership, the galaxy leader vessel in the red sea.
10:30 am
everyone's surprise, nobody expected that such an operation would be conducted uh against any nation, let alone uh, the israeli regime, that was a ship that was captured, and from that day, from november 19, ansat allah has stopped up their attacks in the red sea and in surrounding waters, targeting all israeli linked vessels, all israeli linked cargo, all israeli shipments delivering a catastrophic blow to the israeli. economy ever since november 19, when these operations began in the red sea, the two ports in occupied palestine, the port of haifa and the port of ilat, they have declared a state of emergency, the port of hafa is on the brink of closing, the owner of the port of haifa, he mentioned that the unsar allah attacks in the red sea have impacted them and affected them in ways they never imagined, in addition to the attacks on israeli shipment.
