marina joshua welcome to the program and at least nine people have been killed and one badly injured in a fire that broke out at a hole for the elderly in the fair region in western russia cross live to r.t. sean thomas for more on this. good morning shine and this certainly is a tragic incident so what exactly happened this morning at the nursery home. well certainly a nightmare situation indeed early this morning flames erupted in and out of the elderly home leaving nine people at least killed and one person severely wounded investigation is under way right now into that situation in fact four hundred eighty people at the time were displaced and have been evacuated now we're told at this point in time that the fire is out in the investigation is underway early investigation looks into possible faulty wiring as the cause but there's also speculation that there could be a suicide attempt in fact all nine of the people who were found dead were in one

room and there's a gas canister in that room that people believe that one person used to try and commit suicide but of course that has not been confirmed the emergency ministry is looking into that right now also we do know that the authorities say that the people actually responded really quickly in this case in fact within three minutes of the fire being reported emergency crews were on scene i believe at this moment time that we have a grab from the emergency minister this is what they had to say about the investigation. of my hands five o five am the local fire department was informed of a blaze nascent aim fire engines arrived at the site within three minutes nothing had been put out by five thirty am here four hundred ninety people were evacuated from the site and sheltered in the conference hall of the nursing homes administers to building nine people died in the fire moment severely injured two he's currently in host. still in critical condition in the several possibilities as to what caused
