and coast to rita the central american country borders nicaragua and just last week nicaraguan troops crossed the border into costa rica then they took down their flag and replaced it with the nicaraguan flag the troop leader told a local newspaper that he used google maps to identify the area but it turns out the google's border line was off by two kilometers leading the corrado to believe that this is in fact their rightful chunk of land now we should mention that this was in a random invasion but rather an attempt at reclaiming a much just created area along the san juan river between the two countries and the head of the internet giants cartography department says that it was all an accident and they hope to have the border appropriately marked soon now the un and coast to read his excellency are looking into the misguided attack and meanwhile google says sorry we're working on fixing the problem so that's it google is just going to say hey our mistake we're going to fix it google has worked hard on its mapping system invading people's privacy all over the sake of getting the most accurate
11:31 pm
information possible yet they still royally screw up and this is even the first time that it's gotten in the middle of a major territory dispute just a few months ago cambodia was pretty pissed when the google or inaccurately showed the border between their country and thailand i mean i'm not arguing that it is not stupid for a military leader to use google maps to navigate into an area hell i can't even trust it to get me around d.c. but if google is putting itself out there as the go to for everything including directions on how to get from point a to point b. well they should at least try to be accurate come on google you're violating people's privacy you're c.e.o. officially has a creepy factor and now you're responsible for the invasion of countries and for that google you are tonight's tool time which. now just a few days after democrats democrats got their butts kicked in the midterm elections last night we watched as obama sat down with sixty minutes for
11:32 pm
a post-mortem sixty minutes host steve kroft did a long winded interview with obama about everything from the financial bailout to the war in afghanistan and kroft had to ask the obvious question what can be done about the unemployment epidemic that's hurting the country right now. you've lost a lot of your base on tuesday a lot of the people that helped elect you two years ago. voted for republicans women senior citizens independent young people and african-americans did not turn out in large numbers how do you explain that well as i said i think that folks are frustrated with what they've seen over the last two years. that was the wrong question but let's just say that the economy is what obama blamed for everyone's unhappy attitudes now that certainly isn't the obama that we're used to that sadly there's a grim dour demeanor was the only side of obama that america saw during the very lengthy interview i don't get it what happened to the smiling energetic obama from
11:33 pm
the campaign trail the oratorical master obama the politician. they hold the killer the. latest book. the stamps or what the cynics say it is possible. what you know in your heart it's. to say it wasn't that long ago when he was chanting hope and change on a daily basis but after that pitiful sixty minutes interview we just can't help but wonder has obama lost it does he feel so defeated that he's lost all of his motivation to fix america or at least act like he wants to where is the fire where is the fight where are those beautifully phrased sentences that we used to hear between the new house majority and all the criticism surrounding his administration
11:34 pm
we can't help but notice a new side to obama the all too serious not so on gauging incredibly boring side and if that's not bad enough d.n.c. committeeman robert zimmerman just gave tabloids something else to buzz about he blamed the election losses on the fact that the white house communications effort was so poor that it quote couldn't sell cocaine to charlie sheen and i'm not making that up with either savage governing is hard and governing the largest economic crisis since the great depression it's probably near impossible but obama needs to find a way to connect with someone anyone part of leading is not just making decisions it's inspiring people it's walking talking like a leader and you know a lot of people criticized obama for being in denial about the loss but i don't even see that i see nothing to cling on to in his words and that worries me makes us all feel like he's just giving up. now former president george w.
11:35 pm
bush is making a return to the public life nearly two years after leaving office his memoirs are coming out tomorrow and he's making the television rounds talking about his time as president and the decisions that define his eight years in office the book is called decision points the group waging the group waging nonviolence excuse me is asking that an author of the book being released people reshelve decision points to the part of the bookstore where really belongs the crime section they say that if you participate in the nonviolent act of subversion please take a picture of your mission accomplished and then post a photo of their handiwork to the facebook page but why do they think that it belongs there in the first place well joining me from our studio in new york to discuss it is jasmine faustino assistant editor at st martin's press jasmine thank you so much for joining us so tell me first why should george bush's book be moved to the crime section of the shelves. well. i person believe that
11:36 pm
a lot of the. decision points he made while he was in office were in fact illegal and criminal and i think this is a way for people to push back against his version of history and say how they think how they view his presidency and where this book should actually belong whether they think it is the crime section which is where i think is the best place for it but also it could be in the dark fantasy or horror humor. what specifically what specific crimes do you feel like you committed. where to begin i take major issue with the invasion of iraq and also him basically throwing out he is corpus with guantanamo and you know this these are legal wars are going on and for him to write a memoir about it basically justifying his decisions and his abuses of power i think this is a way for people to push back against that and say you know we're not going to let
11:37 pm
you write this book without seriously questioning about it in a sort of humorous way that i think you know a lot of people could get on board with yeah there was a similar movement actually in the u.k. when tony blair's book came out did you did you take something from that is that where you got the idea from and i mean how successful were they yes that is where i got the idea from it was you know i virtually read about that on waging nonviolence and they took tony blair's memoir a journey and moved it to the crime section of the bookstore and i think i actually saw that it was also placed and that the toiletries aisle of a supermarket and that was hugely successful it were like it was covered by all the major major news media outlets in the u.k. and thousands of people like were on this facebook page you know signed up to do this and there are hundreds of photos on the face of gays or you can see the player memoir in the crime section and humor section and dark you know dark fantasy section and i'm hoping and have the same amount of success with the bush memoir or
11:38 pm
how much feedback are you getting so far. so far the feedback has been great it's hard to tell because we promoted this in that through a few different venues and there's actually like a nother there's other places that are promoting this is well there's another facebook page called subversively move which is no more to the crime section and we have a facebook page and we're promoting through twitter and facebook and you know all those venues are actually i'm not quite sure how much of a movement this is but i am assuming they are hoping that it's bigger than i'm expecting and you know so far people seem to really be on board with it i think because it's a fun interesting kind of way to express your opinion now i wonder you know unfortunately it feels like these days especially now that our country's involved in two wars and now that we are fighting terror globally it seems like you know our wars no longer have borders and quite the opposite our governments like to do things that are beyond any legal balance and they get to veil it was the notion of state secrets or under national security i mean in essence do you think that you
11:39 pm
know barack obama the bill clinton the. you know hard books or memoirs they should be placed in not the nonfiction section only. i do and you know i want to make clear that this this protest isn't just against it's not against bush it's against the policies that he acted during his time in office and those policies are still being carried out today by obama like the things i stated before there are still men sitting in guantanamo and there and there are people you know being cleared to that they should be released we're going to have are still sitting there today and the same thing at the rock war goes on and i do you think you know if obama writes a memoir that he should be the next target for a movement like this now tell me this despite your feelings about are you going to read the book. that's a really good question i'm not opposed to reading the book. i probably won't really because i get so upset when i read things sometimes but i'm not opposed to it i'm
11:40 pm
not afraid to pick it up and read it but i think it's just me sort of it would be me having to like swallow my pride and kind of push down my emotions are not going to set when i read it well i think you know we've we've just been discussing the book leading up to its release here on this program too and i think there's been a bit of a feeling of i don't know if you call it disappointment maybe just shock and awe at the things that george bush has said he chose to highlight like for the fact that he feels the lowest point in his presidency was when kanye west said that he didn't care about black people what was your reaction to that yeah i mean that reaction my reaction is kind of disgusting i'm shocked it's a new yorker to think that he wouldn't say the day of nine eleven was the lowest point of his presidency like those president though is part of my life you know where i felt the most down and. beaten up and i can't believe that he could he
11:41 pm
could pass over that for what kind of west opinion is and you know i thought that's why i like this movement is you know i feel like maybe he does care what people think and this is people besides tony west and maybe this is a way for you know ordinary citizens to show what they think of his book and what they would categorize it as now just lastly if george bush had written i'm so sorry for all the things i did i regret every move i regret invading iraq opening guantanamo bay torturing people detaining them would you still be waging the movement or would you forgive him i guess you could say. well i would forgive them but you know it's not that doesn't it doesn't end there you know we have to make sure that these policies aren't an activity that we learn from our mistakes and you know that's why i you know i think waiting on the violence does what it does it it's you know it's basically every day showing you ways to stand up and in a nonviolent way and show your displeasure and express your opinion and wage
11:42 pm
a movement against you know people in power it or you know corporations and power and show them that you're you're not happy and you know it just because there's an apology which would be fantastic it doesn't stop there like the fight must continue all the more reason that we need to read about our history is so we aren't tuned to repeat of course johnson thanks so much for joining us ok thank you thank you so to come on tonight's shout there's a big lotto winner somewhere in the detroit michigan area but they might be too embarrassed to collect the money to tell you why in just a moment and are you trying to find mr right the grab your passport and hop on the red eye to europe we're going to speak to an author who's written all about finding the man of your dreams overseas only back into.

this isn't your average bookstore where you go to buy the latest novel now instead they sell porn new magazines sex toys and of course powerball lottery tickets so is the winner a little too embarrassed to come forward to claim their millions and i'm not sure how you would enjoy meeting the media eye to eye to news conference where you had to claim the lotto prize after the buying the ticket an adult bookstore maybe the person is married maybe their other halves didn't know that they were visiting the sex shop and i have to point out that the adult novel the store novelty store also has a street side window or people walking by or waiting at a nearby bus stop can try their hand at lady luck without ever having to see her naked but come on you guys who buys a lottery ticket and an adult book store without going in to check out the merchandise i mean if it was me i would have been at the lottery office this morning to collect my prize i'd be on a first class flight to the beach to enjoy some sun sand and tropical drinks with one hundred twenty eight million dollars who cares where you bought the ticket so

we will be waiting patiently for this lucky winner to face up. you know maybe the voters of oklahoma should brush up on the issues before they head to the polls last tuesday the wise voters approved a constitutional amendment that banned shari'a law in the state because of taking over da but it seems that upon further review there might be a little catch there you see that exact same law might also include the ban on the ten commandments. the oklahoma ballot measure orders judges not to consider islamic or international law when they decide cases so a law professor at the university of oklahoma says that this newly approved constitutional amendment well it could also then prove prevent judges from referencing the ten commandments and i'm sure the oklahoma would not want that the reservoir use of the ten commandments are a precept of another culture and another nation to the new constitutional my that
11:47 pm
means the judges don't know when or how they can look at sources of american law if the law has origins in international law like the ten commandments so it sounds like the ballot question was pretty poorly crafted by lawmakers who are just trying to scare people into voting for it shockey now some same people in the business community they urged voters to reject the ban saying that it would hurt international business and the council on american islamic relations filed a lawsuit two days after the bandpass saying that it violates the first amendment posted a judge issued a temporary restraining order against the amendment until a hearing can be held later this month to the lesson to all voters from this ridiculous amendment is to stop and think about what you're voting for before you actually had to the polls because you might just ally your precious ten commandments while trying to pass islamophobia laws. now aside from the food the shopping the architecture in the culture there is one other huge reason
11:48 pm
that women love europe the mad and now there is one woman who wrote a book compiled of her experiences while studying in europe for a number of summers with tips on how to meet the sexy are now courting to her every fall when she returned her girlfriends wanted to know about the men she had met so she started writing now she has videos that have gone viral even a screenplay that's in the works and in the book she breaks it down country by country gives away everything from the best spots to find men to what to wear and crew to party with so i guess the biggest question is are her traits limited to europe or could they work anywhere earlier i caught up with catherine chloe cahoon the author of the book the single girl's guide to meeting european men and i first asked her why she thinks it is that american women find european men so appealing. well my friends and i have found that when a girl travels a bride and is excited to learn about the cold sure that it is best to do that by
11:49 pm
meeting the european men in fact if a girl acts like she wants to be in the european she wants to learn about the background this becomes so appealing to the men why do you think that it would work the opposite way around i mean could you also write a book on how to meet men all across america if you go to certain cities and participate i guess in their favorite sporting events or do you think european matter just maybe a little easier to crack. i think that would work with american men too however i found that europeans tend to be friendlier faster so for the most part a girl doesn't have to be a european man in a social environment like at a sporting event she can generally meet him even in a subtle way so you think perhaps just as much as american girls look forward to meeting european men when they go there european men are just waiting for the american girls to flock to flock over there and come talk to them they are really
11:50 pm
excited to meet traveling girls and it goes both ways because we want to learn about the european heritage and they want to learn about us now tell me i guess aside from just sharing your personal story is giving a few tips here and there why did you write the book. well i had an international media major so i spent my summers while i was at the underbelly university studying in europe and i honestly had the most amazing experiences and met a wonderful men and every time i would return in the fall my girlfriends would just ask me time and in times of questions about the men the landmarks to meet and in the flirting tips so they asked me to write the book so you're now somewhat of a specialist i guess you know you also have started posting videos online now i want to play a clip first of all of one of those videos if we can ok. i
11:51 pm
wrote the book the single girl's guide to meeting european men the last time i was at a beach in europe i have this adorable girlfriend who unfortunately was very self conscious about her body while the rest of us were having a great time in the ocean and meeting the natives who would need to take the cover up off those over her bathing suit and she stayed on her towel if you're going to get it back to your towel you're not going to get attached to european men. now you have a number of those videos up now where is the book comes from your personal experiences these videos are they supposed to be real or are they supposed to be you know parody a joke. the videos are meant to be financed by any teachers for the book and i am parodying the travel host and so meant to be over the top you know with the clothes changes the still wet. even the posing the model walking
11:52 pm
but the videos do contain actual information so i really did have a friend who was self-conscious about her body but they're meant to be fun now this is turning into being you know quite a success for you the book is doing well now your videos are going viral you even have a screenplay in the works means you ever think that you are going to have a movie coming out of this. no definitely not in fact i never really planned on public book i first wrote the beginning of the book for my girlfriends because i wanted them to have excellent experiences and it just blossomed and continued growing into a full book now what as long as it is becoming a career for you though do you what can we say next are you going to travel to i don't know south america or perhaps russia china and write another guide on how to meet men from other places in the world. people keep asking you that you can go you know to asia or what what's on the horizon but i honestly take life one opportunity
11:53 pm
at a time so i will see what comes up and go from there now i just want to ask you one more thing you know one thing that you focused on in this book too is about girls not being scared you're not going to look like a loser if you're a tourist or you're exploring on your own i mean personally i'm not even comfortable to you know go to a restaurant and eat by myself but i think about something that you know can really transcend i mean any any border i guess is you can say it is not to be in any country that's that's really a good idea a good booster a confidence booster for women to tell them that it's ok you can do things on your own and not go out with you know a pack of ten girls if you want to meet somebody you know well it's empowering in first stock if you want your restaurant on your own everyone would love to you would be alone for a lot of people would be coming out wanting to meet you so it's nothing to be afraid of and especially during the daylight when it's a girl doesn't need her friends to go out to a landmark in the european men will see that she's alone in want to meet her i
