the election were held again in spite of some recall elections in two thousand and twelve these guys should be easy pickings. crazy alert attack of the social media technology over the weekend a twenty one year old female student received a tweet from congresswoman and congressman anthony weiner's twitter account it contained a lewd photo of a man in bulging boxer briefs the congressman's office as his account was hacked and that they've hired a lawyer to investigate the incident posting was quickly deleted and we're made light of the incident on his twitter page saying you know shot facebook act is my blunder going to attack me next sounds like congressman weiner had a tough weekend but if this is the beginning of a trend and speaker of the house john boehner i mean baner might want to consider beefing up his twitter account password. coming up she's making her rounds on her one nation bus tour so could sarah palin's national hopscotching foreshadow
9:31 pm
a twenty twelve presidential campaign. let's not forget that we had an apartheid regime right. i think. one well. whenever the government says they're for the keep them safe get ready because you know their freedom.
9:32 pm
you know sometimes you see a story and it seems so silly you think you understand it and then you glimpse something else and you hear see some of the part of this and realize that everything you saw. are welcome to the big picture.
9:33 pm
are been coming up in this half hour she hasn't even announced that she'll be running for president the sarah palin is already showing promise at the polls against a republican counterparts so as a race for the two thousand and twelve seated actual possibility for the former vice presidential nominee plus it seems like our nation is breaking away from the very foundation on which it was built laws and principles i'll tell you how america has sunk to a new low and tonight still each day and the fight is on to save california declining population a wild mustangs details on what you can do to help because. sarah
9:34 pm
palin embarked on a bus tour this weekend of the north east coast of the united states she kicked it off in washington d.c. attending a rolling thunder mode. cycle rally and some memorial day parades today she's visiting civil war battlefields in gettysburg friday shall reach her final destination in new hampshire a state that will be home to a crucial republican primary next year tour is fueling speculation about whether paling is going to run for president or if she just put on a donald trump and try to raise more attention for money for political action committee which can pay all the bills to keep up her celebrity lifestyle either way a new poll by gallup shows payloads bus tour maybe eight off are politically she's now in a dead heat with mitt romney atop all the other republicans vying to be their party's nominee for president so what effect will pale and bid for the presidency have on the twenty twelve elections is president obama secretly routine for the doubt you wouldn't oriel quitter to jump into the race joining me now is
9:35 pm
a man who knows sarah pailin very well can morris he's the co-author of the book blind allegiance to sarah palin it was the campaign administrator for pale and successful two thousand and six run for governor of alaska ken welcome. and thank you fredricka it's great to have you with us first of all you know just the simple question that that everybody's asking and. i have my own opinion about it but i'm curious of yours is she running or actually let me let me ask that a little finer point to it if she's not running right now if this is just basically a stunt to raise money is it possible that enough people will give her lots of love that she'll decide to run. you can surround yourself with people who tell her primarily what she wants to hear and she wants to run for president and i think she will listen and for her what we did for two years we are working with frankly on this book i literally lived in the whole of her head and she's looking for that
9:36 pm
when it got its run and she believes that god will open the doors and i think in particular when i could be dropping out i must lead she thinks that use the door maybe already. is so it's not that her pac is running dry or is it is that what really why she's going to here's what leads me to this i open the drudge report this morning and check out what the right wing news is and there's an ad up at the top for sarah palin's bus tour but right in the middle that ad is a giant green but this is donate i clicked on that and it took me right to the donation page on our pac where it said you know please make your gift now you can do a recurring gift a regular give fifty dollars one hundred dollars five hundred dollars up to five thousand apparently you can give to a pac once a year is what it says there and it's like please help sarah make this trip. is that what it's all about but it's not really for sarah palin she for all i know she
9:37 pm
could have twenty million dollars in her package she would still raise money after she had signed her book the last go and had millions of dollars coming in and she continued to raise money for her defense fund against the various extra arches that have been filed against her so despite the fact that she had a net worth in the marines of dollars she continued to solicit if you go to nations from people who were literally living on twenty or twenty five thousand dollars a year for her it's not how much she has she will continue to raise no matter what the number is well what's in your book i mean you knew her you were. with her you helped her get elected just because i did actually work with the right i believe was my co-author like he was actually the insider a mechanic all right so for teachers to unite work together writing this book ok so the you know one of the two of you to be the the insider information is in the book
9:38 pm
and i'm biased and can flame i had your bio with franks but what's in your book that every voter should know before considering syrup alun for elected office and you think george will was right. you george clooney right this one would be an unmitigated biblical disaster as president in particular when she returned to alaska after the election. the mccain election she spent virtually no time on government's actions she and her administration did nothing but juggle one time after another we've got them in the book that there were as many as a dozen of these minor vendettas going on it wants and kunar staff did not except try to ruin people including your juno and david. knew you came to what they paid you know it was just one thing after another she had to come to the aid of carrie prejean gone because news criticized her about not giving enough support
9:39 pm
it went on and on and on and there were so many of them that the task of writing the book was just all of these in a way that was coherent are these is this behavior by her a series of stunts or at times to get more publicity or or just recognition she craves the limelight or or is there some grand unifying strategy here that i miss. you have to get inside the head of this woman that if richard nixon wasn't on the richter scale of paranoia she's attack and she believes the forces of evil are so. whirling around her at all times she she had her the big governor's mansion swept for bugs regularly her captors offices swept for bugs regularly she believed people were e-mail accounts she believed that former political enemies of each other were coming together to plot her downfall it's
9:40 pm
a massive scale of paranoia in my opinion the i think george will's most famous point about her was the main reason to not even consider sarah palin is nobody would trust her with nuclear weapons. is is that if that recognition sinking into the republican party. how can party in actually because i mean the republican party itself is is now asked to identify with the so far right that i think that the crazy i thought the outcome of the party and the time you knock down one of the moles whether it's not trumped up pops another one if you knock down i can be a down payment. michele bachmann you know it's one after the other and i don't think the crazy is necessarily excludes you from being their nominee certainly not for being their vice presidential nominee or even potentially becoming the president of the united states case in play richard nixon can thank
9:41 pm
you very much for being with us tonight and thank you i'll have more on sarah palin by the way and it's edition of the good the bad the very very ugly. every year along the california and nevada borders ten thousand wild horses there round up put in a pan's and locked up there in the round up in lock up about ten percent of the horses die and us governments bureau of land management is behind these roundups in . they argue that wild horse populations are exploding straining resources and starving other animals and thus they should be control roughly thirty three thousand wild horses across ten western states and a part of the interior says the wild horse roundups are quote necessary and justified to maintain the natural ecological balance of the land critics of the
9:42 pm
roundup disagree though one of those critics is madeleine pickens she's an animal rights advocate founder of saving americas mustangs and the musky mustang monument wildhorse eco sanctuary battle and joins me now to talk more about this issue of metal and welcome. thank you thank you for having me it's very nice having you with us the government says that while six percent of wild horses die during roundup if they were rounded up about twenty percent of the population would die but your response to. well you know that's a myth that's a myth distributed out there by cattlemen and ranchers and you know that information is given to the b.l.m. is that b.l.m. say you know when you ask them where they get their information they'll tell you it trickles up to us and we tell you things usually trickle down so if something's trickling up you've got to question it. those numbers are.
9:43 pm
ludicrous and the sad thing is you know one hundred years ago we had two million horses roaming the plains were down to probably the last twenty eight thousand i mean america sit up and think this is your western culture you know care what happens i immigrated here and i immigrated because i saw these incredible movies of john wayne of cowboys indians wild horses and when i got here i didn't see any please don't let your western culture leave you ok you have no idea when you travel overseas people want to hear about our wild horses you know they they run around in japan with cowboy boots and have the same thing in germany they are massive. by our history we have a very sexy history and we please don't just lose our heritage i'll go back to the round ups. i think there are necessary. around i just purchased for the eco sanction it's in a foundation they just gather the horses and use the saddest thing i've ever seen
9:44 pm
you know i would fly over there for months and i and i felt like this was family all these horses that i knew and saw out there and right out of the round out so i went back and they weren't there anymore and the land was dead you know if you don't have life on the land. what is the deal with it with the horses it is not alive what are the when they round up these horses what we do with them. well let me tell you what they do with them they warehouse these horses there are forty five thousand horses that are being warehoused and guess who's paying for them you are the taxpayers are your distant listeners out there they're spending seventy million dollars a year to warehouse these horses to round them up and warehouse them it seems you know there's a lot of notice of the forty five thousand being warehoused and there's only twenty eight thousand left on the range that's close to extinction it's it's pretty amazing the numbers there are a lot of people in this country who are you know majorly into horses and own horses
9:45 pm
and ride horses and love horses and is is it but the government doesn't give these horses away because the horse traders the horse the people who's made a business of buying and selling horses. against it or is this is about a battle between the ranchers and the horse lovers of the west. i think the government would be loudly give them all away what would that would end up with most of them going to slaughter there are protected from that for now and you know the country is in trouble in two thousand and eight we tanked this country had a huge economic problem and nobody wants to adopt of course right now they can't afford it so they got should really is not a big option so what is clearly we have a resource with these horses sorry what what what what would you do with them i mean how are you there are resources are what i would use them but would you. well
9:46 pm
i see them as a huge resource and that's why i purchased this land in nevada eighteen and a half thousand acres with that i also purchased the grazing rights the allotments on the public lands and that's another five hundred sixty thousand acres i am asking the government to convert it from cattle grazing to horse grazing and i'd like to create this eco sanctuary so that you or your viewers could come with their families and visit and instead of going through a rain forest come to nevada come and see your wild horses what we can do for these children for these tourists to enjoy their western culture and try to create this eco sanctuary and guess what over the next twenty years we would save them one billion dollars i mean that's huge i suppose now that the country is broke and we deal in trillion suddenly a billion doesn't sound a lot but it is to a lot of people out there but what do you suggest to viewers who care about this
9:47 pm
situation is there or is is there some way to participate in this or lobby for the us yes please go to my website saving america's mustangs in america has an s on it so does mustang star or sign up with we we send information we ask you to send letters now we're winning this war ok we've made huge progress and i you know i believe. this is going to happen but it happened so slowly i've been working on this project for three years now you know if they would just leave it to the private sector to take care of it would be done you know i spent millions of dollars on this it's crazy just trying to get the word out both in the private sector when the ranchers slaughter the horses. because there were a lot of what i say leave it to the private sector i mean so that so that you know we could create these eco sanctuaries. the you can't just go out and slaughter them i mean they they they may sort of go out of breakthrough or some what we we don't
9:48 pm
know about that but we need to stop the taxpayer from having to pay for this now they have to pay for their obligated because the government moved federal horses and these belong to the people and they are now or they're fiscally responsible for looking after them and morally for the rest of their lies remember this when they gather all horse and that mare is in seoul her baby is born in captivity that of course is the life that is expectancy is another fifteen to twenty years longer than it would have been on the range so not only you have you gathered these horses but you've now extended the cost for another fifteen to twenty years they've got fifteen thousand of these horses and short term holding that's twenty five hundred dollars a year per horse that you pay for i presented to the that i take those horses and i would take them at five hundred dollars a year as opposed to twenty five hundred dollars a year. so the stories come out was you can't take that money on that land that's
9:49 pm
correct i have been i've been in many meetings with them and i said if you give me the green light let's start this with the project that i have right now and allow me to buy more land but i don't want to go out and buy more land until i have the commitment from the government i don't want to be around sure yeah thank you thank you very much for sharing your story for your advocacy for those. can thank you for helping us my pleasure after our break a deal we take on why anything goes in america without consequences and i mean anything.
9:50 pm

9:51 pm
it's the good the bad of the very very pertinaciously ugly but good a missouri biker gang over the weekend the westboro baptist church embarked on another of its shock campaigns by setting up a protest in joplin missouri where one hundred forty three people were killed in tornadoes last week everything was going to swell for them until an army of bikers roared in and forced the westboro protesters to flee with their hate signs the bikers then took over the protests own and put an end of a hate speech well done the bad part so-called news this morning the gang on fox and friends spent a whole segment talking about why president obama has been caught up in a scandal yeah brainiac steve doocy piped up with this. when you agreed that the mainstream media has been so supportive of this president he might be reluctant
9:52 pm
perhaps to report on a scandal. i think it's also an explanation for why this happened. you can almost hear the desperation in these guys voices who would give anything for a scandal that rocked president obama luckily out of everything if i can use is thrown out at the wall from reverend wright's ability or is to sars to the worst to get going nothing has stuck unfortunately we all know they'll keep trying and a very very ugly sarah pail the gubernatorial quitter was in washington d.c. this weekend to attend rolling thunder biker rally at the rally drill baby drill pale and share this little purple pearl of wisdom all your are all your beds on the bus tour going to be this loud i be a black that period piece it's good i love that smell in michigan right yeah spoken like a true polluting lunatic sure she also loves the smell of asthma epidemics around
9:53 pm
the country too and the smells of weather devils. in the american midwest as a result of global warming you know it's one thing to be skeptical of global warming it's another thing to cheer it on and that's a very very. the rule of law in america has broken down and considering that we were founded as a nation of laws you know that whole republic thing that republicans like to talk about this is a troubling development right now there are at least a dozen officials in the bush administration who committed war crimes politicized our justice department and leaked the name of a cia agent for political gain who have yet to face the american criminal justice system for their crimes now only that these men like karl rove donald rumsfeld dick cheney john yoo jay bybee even george w. bush himself are thumbing their noses at american law period on television touting
9:54 pm
their crimes going on book tours and in the case of attorney john you know teaching law and jay bybee rewarded by bush with a lifetime seat on the ninth circuit court one step below the supreme court not only that there are thousands of banks toure's on wall street who stole trillions of dollars from us and ruined the lives of billions of people around the world with their theft from global financial markets damage done as a result of in many cases premeditated fraud if they still sit in their corner offices on wall street still making their millions of bonuses and have yet to even catch a whiff of the rule of law in america. elsewhere around america you have big energy c.e.o.'s who have the glow of countless men on their hands as a result of exploding oil rigs and collapsing coal mines as well as thousands of cancers and billions of dollars in environmental destruction on their watch yet not one is facing criminal charges for the next missions and all overt high crimes are
9:55 pm
being carried out by america's rich and powerful without consequence nixon's war on drugs continues to throw hundreds of thousands of working class and poor americans in prison for nonviolent and any crimes like smoking pot america has the highest rate of incarceration in the developed world thanks to nixon's drug war and war on drugs yet not one of these inmates hails from the bush administration or from goldman sachs or from b.p. so you see a double standard here still fifty bucks in candy bars in a seven eleven talk to jail steal fifty million bucks from public pensions on wall street fair here's a bailout it appears as though our rule of law breaks down once you pass the six zero in the law breakers bank account but it's not just this tale of two justice systems that's weighing down on the rule of law in america it's our foreign policy strategy to our current war in libya is raging for more than two months now
9:56 pm
without legal authority we're targeting a u.s. citizen for assassination without trial were routinely violating the fourth amendment with wireless wire taps at warrantless wiretaps and cyber snooping and we're holding detainees in gitmo without due process of law not to mention the nonexistent legal basis for the slew of secret detention facilities around the world to which we outsource our torture. our government officials and policymakers have found a cozy spot far away from the reaches of our justice system to legislate foreign policy and they found that spot because a decade of policies by george w. bush have sufficiently neutered our justice system when it comes to prosecuting political big wigs and corporate bigwigs if you're the right person then anything goes in america today so while the crimes mount and our politicians and c.e.o.'s don their immunity badges the rest of america is going to head to head against
