hey if the election were held again let's fire up some recall elections come two thousand and twelve these guys should be easy pickings. crazy alert attack of the social media technology over the weekend a twenty one year old female student received a tweet from congresswoman and congressman anthony weiner's twitter account they contain a lewd photo of a man involved in boxer briefs a congressman's office as his account was hacked and they hired a lawyer to investigate the incident posting was quickly deleted and wiener made light of the incident on his twitter page saying kiro shot facebook act is my blunder going to attack me next sounds like congressman weiner had a tough weekend but if this is the beginning of a trend then speaker of the house john boehner i mean baner might want to consider beefing up his twitter account password. coming up she's making her rounds on her

coming up in this half hour she hasn't even announced if she'll be running for president the sarah palin is already showing promise at the polls against a republican counterparts so is the race for the two thousand and twelve seat an actual possibility for the former vice presidential nominee plus it seems like our nation is breaking away from the very foundation on which it was built the laws and principles i'll tell you how america has sunk to a new low internet stilly today and the fight is on a safe california declining population a wild mustangs details on what you can do to help because.
11:34 pm
sarah pailin embarked on a bus tour this weekend of the north east coast of the united states that often washington d.c. attending a rolling thunder motor. cycle rally and some memorial day parades today she's visiting civil war battlefields in gettysburg on friday shall reach her final destination new hampshire a state that will be home to a crucial republican primary next year tour is fueling speculation about whether pailin is going to run for president or if she just pull out of donald trump and try to raise more attention for herself and money for political action committee which can pay all the bills to keep up her celebrity lifestyle either way a new poll by gallup shows bust two or maybe eight offer politically she's now in a dead heat with mitt romney a top all the other republicans vying to be their party's nominee for president so what effect will pale and bid for the presidency have in the twenty four elections as president obama secretly routine for the go gubernatorial quitter to jump into
11:35 pm
the race joining me now is a man who knows sarah pailin very well can morris he's the co-author of the book blind allegiance to sarah palin and was the campaign administrator for paleness successful two thousand and six run for governor of alaska ken welcome. and thank you for having me time it's great to have you with us first of all you know just the simple question that that everybody's asking and. i had my own opinion about it but i'm curious of yours is she running or actually let me let me ask that a little finer point to it. if she's not running right now if this is just basically a stunt to raise money is it possible that enough people will give her lots of love that she'll decide to run. one surrounds herself with people who tell her primarily what she wants to hear and she wants to run for president and i think she will listen and for her what we did for two years we are working with frankly on this book i literally lived in the rabbit hole of her head and she's looking for
11:36 pm
that one that god says run and she believes that god will open the doors and i think in particular when i could be dropping out i'm honestly believe that she thinks that use the door open already why is so it's not that her pac is running dry or is it is that really why she's going here's what leads me to this i open the drudge report this morning and check out what the right wing news is and there's an ad up at the top for sarah palin's bus tour but right in the middle that ad is a giant green but this is donate i clicked on that and it took me right to the donation page on her pac where it said you know please make your gift now you can do a recurring gift a regular you have fifty dollars one hundred dollars five hundred dollars up to five thousand apparently you can give to a pac once a year now is what it says there and it's like you know please help sarah make this trip. is that what it's all about but you know it's not really for sarah palin she
11:37 pm
for all i know she could have twenty million dollars in her package she would still raise money after she had signed her book the last go and had millions of dollars coming in she continued to raise money for her defense fund against the there is extra argues that have been filed against her so despite the fact that she had a net worth in the ninety's of dollars she continued to solicit if you go to nations from people who were literally living on twenty or twenty five thousand dollars a year for her it's not how much she has she will continue to raise no matter what the number is what's in your book i mean you knew her you were. with her you helped her get elected just because i didn't actually work with her i find that it was my co-author i think he was actually the insider on the candidate all right so for two years the and i have worked together writing this book ok so the you know one of the two of you to be the insider information is in the book and i'm biased and can
11:38 pm
flame i had your bio with franks but what's in your book that every voter should know before considering sarah palin for like that office and i think george will was right. you know george clooney right this film would be an unmitigated biblical disaster as president in particular when she returned to alaska after the election. the mccain election she spent virtually no time on government's. actions she and her administration did not seem to juggle one after another we got them in the book that there were as many as a dozen of these minor vendettas going on it wants and kunar staff did nothing except try to ruin people including your jew you know now david. rich came to let. you know it was just one thing after another she had to come to the aid of carrie prejean because criticized her about not giving enough support
11:39 pm
it went on and on and on and there were so many of them and the difficult task of writing the book was just all of these and a way that was coherent are these is this behavior by her a series of stunts or times to get more publicity or or just recognition she craves the limelight or or is there some grand unified strategy here that i miss. you have to get inside the head of this woman that if richard nixon was a on the richter scale of paranoia she's a ten she believes the forces of evil are so. whirling around her at all times she she had her mic at the governor's mansion for bugs regularly her governor's office and sweat for bugs regularly she believed people were e-mail accounts she believed that former political enemies of each other were coming together to plot her
11:40 pm
downfall it's a it's a massive scale of paranoia in my opinion the i think george will's most famous point about her was the main reason to not even consider sarah palin is nobody would trust her with nuclear weapons. is is that if that recognition sinking into the republican party. how can party in actually because i think the republican party itself is is now has to identify with the so far right that i think that the crazy i call it the outcome of the party and the time you know one of the goals whether it's now trumped up pops another one if you knock down huckabee up down payment up. michele bachmann you know it's one after the other and i don't think the crazy is necessarily exclude you from being their nominee and certainly not for being their vice presidential nominee or even potentially becoming the president of the united states case and play richard
11:41 pm
nixon ok ken thank you very much for being with us tonight and thank you i'll have more on sarah palin by the way and it's edition of the good the bad the very very ugly. every year along the california and nevada borders ten thousand wild horses around up put in a pan's and locked up during the round up and lock up about ten percent of the horses die and us governments bureau of land management is behind these roundups in . they argue that wild horse populations are exploding straining resources and starving other animals and thus they should be controlled iraq leave thirty three thousand wild horses suddenly across and western states and that are part of the interior says the wild horse roundups are quote necessary and justified to maintain
11:42 pm
the natural ecological balance of the land critics of the roundup disagree though one of those critics is madeleine pickens she's an animal rights advocate and founder of saving americas mustangs and the mustang monument wildhorse eco's actuary madeline joins me now to talk more about this issue of metal and welcome. thank you tom thank you for having me it's very nice to have you with us the government says that while six percent of wild horses die during roundup if they were rounded up about twenty percent of the population would die what's your response to. well you know that's a myth that's a myth that distributed out there by cattlemen and ranchers and you know that information is given to the b.l.m. is that b.l.m. say you know when you ask them where they get their information they'll tell you it trickles up to us and we tell you things usually trickle down so if something's trickling up you've got to question it. those numbers of
11:43 pm
ludicrous and sad thing is that you know one hundred years ago we had two million horses roaming the plains we're down to probably the last twenty eight thousand i mean america sit up and think this is your western culture do you not care what happens i immigrated here and i immigrated because i saw these incredible movies of john wayne of of cowboys indians who are horses and when i got here i didn't see any please don't let your western culture leave you ok you have no idea when you travel overseas people want to hear about our wild horses you know they they weren't around in japan with cowboy boots and the same thing in germany their nests . by our history we have a very sexy history and we please don't just lose our heritage and i'll go back to the roundups i think there are necessary there and i just purchased for the eco sanction it's in a foundation they just gathered the horses and it was the saddest thing i've ever
11:44 pm
seen you know i would fly over there for months and i and i felt like this was family all these horses that that i knew and saw out there and right out of the round out so i went back and they weren't there anymore and the land was dead you know if you don't have life on the land. what is the be all there with the horses it is not alive what are the when they round up the sources what we do with them. well let me tell you what they do with them they warehouse these horses there are forty five thousand horses that are being warehoused and guess who's paying for them you all the taxpayers or your distant listeners out there they're spending seventy million dollars a year to warehouse these horses to round them up and warehouse them it seems you know there's a lot of notice of the twenty five thousand being warehoused and there's only twenty eight thousand left on the range that's close to extinction it's but it's pretty amazing the numbers there are
11:45 pm
a lot of people in this country who are you know majorly into horses and own horses and ride horses and love horses and is is it that the government doesn't give these horses away because the horse traders the horse the people who's made a business of buying and selling horses lobby against it or is this is about a battle between the ranchers and the horse lovers of the west. i think the government would be lovely give them all away what would that would end up with most of them going to slaughter there are at least protected from that for now and you know the country is in trouble in two thousand and eight we think this country had a huge economic problem and nobody wants to adopt a horse right now they can't afford it so adoption really is not a big option so what is really we have a resource with these horses sorry what what would you do with them i mean. there are resources are what i would use them but would you. well i see them as
11:46 pm
a huge resource and that's why i purchased this land in the eighteen and a half thousand acres with that i also purchased the grazing rights the allotments on the public lands and that's another five hundred sixty thousand acres i am asking the government to convert it from cattle grazing to horse grazing and i'd like to create a secret sanctuary so that you know your viewers could come with their families and visit and instead of going to the rain forest come to nevada come and see a wild horses what we can do for these children for these tourists to enjoy their western culture and try to create the seacoast sanctuary and guess what over the next twenty years we would save them one billion dollars i mean that's huge i suppose now that the country is broke and we deal in trillion suddenly a billion doesn't sound a lot but it is to a lot of people out there but what do you suggest to be yours here about the
11:47 pm
situation is there or is is there some way to participate in this or lobby for the us yes please go to my website saving america's mustangs in america has an s on it so does mustang star or sign up with we we send information we ask you to send letters now we're winning this war ok we've made huge progress and i am. i believe this is going to happen but it happened so slowly i've been working on this project for three years now you know if they would just leave it to the private sector to take care of it would be done you know spent millions of dollars on this it's crazy just trying to get the word out of the private sector when the ranch has gotten sort of the horses because they want. it to the private sector i mean so that so that you know we could create these eco centuries. the you can't just go out and slaughter them i mean they they they may sort of go out of backdoor
11:48 pm
somewhere we we don't know about that but we need to stop the taxpayer from having to pay for these now they have to pay for their obligated because the government moved federal horses and these belong to the people and they are now or they're fiscally responsible for looking after them and morally for the rest of their lives remember this when they gather all horse and that marries and saw her baby is born in captivity that of course is life is expectancy is another fifteen to twenty years longer than it would have been on the range so not only have have you gathered these horses but you've now extended the cost for another fifteen to twenty years they've got fifteen thousand of these horses and short term holding that's twenty five hundred dollars a year per horse that you pay for i presented to the that i take those horses and i would take them at five hundred dollars a year as opposed to twenty five hundred dollars a year. and so the stories come out because you can't take that money on that land
11:49 pm
that's correct i have been i've been in many meetings with them and i said if you give me the green light let's start this with the project that i have right now and allow me to buy more land but i don't want to go out and buy more land until i have the commitment from the government i don't want to be around sure yeah well and thank you thank you very much for sharing your story and for your advocacy for those. thank you for helping us my pleasure after our break a daily take on why anything goes in america without consequences and i mean anything.
11:50 pm
what drives the world the fear mongering used by politicians who makes decisions to create through it sort of made who can you trust no one who is imbued with the global machinery see where are we heading state controlled capitalism is called satchels when nobody dares to ask why we do our t. question more.
11:51 pm
so. it's the good the bad of the very very pertinaciously oddly good a missouri biker gang over the weekend the westboro baptist church embark on another of his shock campaigns by setting up a protest in joplin missouri one hundred forty three people were killed in tornadoes last week everything was going to swell for them until an army of bikers roared in and forced the westboro protesters to flee with their eight signs the bikers then took over the protests only put an end of the hate speech well done the bad part so-called news this morning the gang on fox and friends spent a whole segment talking about why a president obama has been caught up in a scandal yet brainiacs steve doocy i put up with this. would you agree that the
11:52 pm
mainstream media has been so supportive of this president they might be reluctant perhaps to report on a scandal. i think it's also an explanation for why it isn't happening look you can almost hear the desperation in these guys voices who would give anything for a scandal to rock president obama luckily out of everything if i excuse is thrown out at the wall from reverend wright's ability or his desire hours the old person to get going nothing has stuck unfortunately we all know they'll keep trying and the very very ugly sarah pail the gubernatorial quitter was in washington d.c. this weekend to attend rolling thunder biker rally at the rally drill baby drill pail and share this little pearl pearl of wisdom well you're on your bed on the bus or going to be this loud let me a classic period piece. i love the smell of your mission right yeah spoken like a true polluting lunatic i'm sure she also loves the smell of asthma epidemics

around the country too and the smells of weather devils. in the american midwest as a result of global warming you know it's one thing to be skeptical of global warming it's another thing to cheer it on and that's a very very. the rule of law in america has broken down and considering that we were founded as a nation of laws you know that whole republic thing that republicans like to talk about this is a troubling development right now there are at least a dozen officials in the bush administration who committed war crimes politicized our justice department and leaked the name of a cia agent for political gain who have yet to face the american criminal justice system for their crimes now only that these men like karl rove donald rumsfeld dick cheney john yoo jay bybee even george w. bush himself are thumbing their noses at american hearing on television touting
11:54 pm
their crimes going on book tours and a case of attorney john you know teaching law and jay bybee rewarded by bush with a lifetime seat on the ninth circuit court one step below the supreme court not only that there are thousands of banks toure's on wall street who stole trillions of dollars from us and ruined the lives of billions of people around the world with their theft from global financial markets damage done as a result of in many cases premeditated fraud but they still sit in their corner offices on wall street still making their millions in bonuses and have yet to even catch a whiff of the rule of law in america. elsewhere around america you have big energy c.e.o.'s who have the blood of countless men on their hands as a result of exploding oil rigs and collapsing coal mines as well as thousands of cancers and billions of dollars in environmental destruction on their watch yet not one is facing criminal charges for the nectarines and all overt high crimes are

being carried out by america's rich and powerful without consequence nixon's war on drugs continues to throw hundreds of thousands of working class and poor americans in prison for nonviolent and petty crimes like smoking pot america has the highest rate of incarceration in the developed world thanks to nixon's drug war a war on drugs and now one of these inmates hails from the bush administration or from goldman sachs or from b.p. you see a double standard here still fifty bucks in candy bars of a seven eleven walked in jail steal fifty million bucks from public pensions on wall street fair here's a bailout it appears as though our rule of law breaks down once you pass the six zero in the law breakers bank account but it's not just this tale of two justice systems it's weighing down on the rule of law in america it's our foreign

policy strategy to our current war in libya is raging for more than two months now without legal authority we're targeting a u.s. citizen for assassination without trial were routinely violating the fourth amendment with wireless wire taps at warrantless wiretaps and cyber snooping and were holding detainees and get well without due process of law not to mention the nonexistent legal basis for the slew of secret detention facilities around the world to which we outsource our torture. our government officials and policymakers have found a cozy spot far away from the reaches of our justice system to legislate foreign policy and they found that spot because a decade of policies by george w. bush have sufficiently neutered our justice system when it comes to prosecuting political big wigs and corporate bigwigs if you're the right person then anything goes in america today so while the crimes mount and our politicians and c.e.o.'s don their immunity badges the rest of america is going to head to head against
