we have to go to the safe get ready for the air freedom. hey guys welcome michel ancel on the alona show played hardball our guests not to sound the topics now i want to hear an audience that says go on to you tube the video response our twitter for part of the question that we've posted on you tube every monday and on the third day of the show your response is going to leave your voice be heard. for. so. far.
6:31 pm
you know sometimes you see a story and it seems so for life is if you understand it and then you've lived something else and you hear or see some other part of it and realize that everything you thought you knew you don't know i'm sorry welcome to the big picture . all right is time for show and tell on tonight's program last time we told you about sony's first round of attacks from grey had hackers well security and we asked you if this blatant altie security from the made tronics corporation would ultimately be the cause of their downfall let's go to producer patrice in
6:32 pm
a sense to find out what our viewers have to say. hey sony who feel so bad the pentagon gets over six million hacks a day but as far as we know only a few get through but then again the pentagon isn't a publicly traded company so for sony is this just one time too many cory said yes this is ridiculous less than a month and they get their doors blown wide open again scott told us and less so he can pull a rabbit out of the hat there and even if they did the rabbit will be happy even before it got out as pretty frightening images but most of our viewers actually feel this is just a minor setback for the company of the size of sony miles is confident that sony will introduce a very tight measures to prevent this from happening again and we're actually believes sony is still one of the most successful japanese companies in the world my take there are no regulations that require a company to tell when they've been hacked the way house would like to see more legislation in this regard and they should because sony waited too long to review
6:33 pm
their reveal their playstation hack i mean come on sony with a combined sales of eighty seven billion don't you think you should spend a little more time and a little more honesty to protect your customers. as always we thank you for your responses and here's our next topic for you we just had a discussion about the findings of a new u.n. report that says that access to the internet should be considered a human right so we want to know what you think is the internet or human right you can respond to us on facebook twitter and you tube and who knows a response just might make it on air. oh barely our viewers had good reason to think that so it wasn't going under turns out the electronic giant has just unveiled a new device and it's branded as their next generation project called the playstation via it's a touch screen and motion sensitive device and it's also great on the go because it can connect to life by hotspots and it even connects the cell phone towers to use there are three chief network lastly you can pick up this device around christmas for me or two hundred fifty dollars sounds like
6:34 pm
a perfect christmas gift except for one little tiny gigantic problem why would anybody want to buy a sony product right now after being hacked continuously by various sources every single branch of sony's been compromised including customer data for over a million people at this point they would have to almost every single day and that's not even an exaggeration the latest group comes from what i told you about yesterday little say even though there are they had their fun at the expense of sony they decided to hit the company again well there are the bruised and battered taken while they're down so to speak so they also posted fifty four megabytes of developer developer source code to its website and expose internal network maps for sony's b.m.g. division all those group isn't the only one who's been having a laugh at sony's expense they're definitely making sure that everybody knows who they are on the pirate bay our latest poll is hat sony five times so please find inclosed our fifth sony hat and they went on to say enjoy this fifty four megabyte
6:35 pm
collection of source code that's hacker sixteen sony zero now we should also know that law has already changed their goal to six hacks at sunday's expense also do you remember i personally extended an offer yesterday to the grey hat hackers asking for them to share their thoughts on the show but it seems like they give me the run around they originally agreed to come on the show if my producer and myself were a shoe on our heads for the entire time then they added the stipulation that we would also have to mud wrestle each other while singing the love boat russian sorry to break it to you guys but i never sing in the. simultaneously but back to sony would anybody really be interested in shelling out two hundred fifty dollars for a company that can barely hold its own when it comes to consumer privacy at this point hackers are just having a heyday with sony making goals to keep guiding them until they finally create a network that can withstand those attacks so i'd like to present a question to the company should you really be putting forth new products when you're being attacked by halfords all over the world and no business pro but maybe
6:36 pm
you should be working a little harder to keep your current customers happy before you try to buy off some you want to say. now as oil prices topped one hundred dollars a barrel and the price of gas rose above four dollars a gallon in the u.s. in the last few months everybody wanted answers and experts across the board will tell you the unrest in the middle east because rising demand in emerging economies and perhaps most importantly rampant speculation are to blame and that even goldman sachs admitted at least twenty seven dollars of the price of crude this year was a result of speculation and not of supply and demand president obama announced a task force to investigate that speculation avoided we have yet to see any results according to republicans and the koch brothers specifically about stuff matters and in fact their group americans for prosperity is launching a new campaign across the country this week called running on empty were the blame of the obama administration and their regulatory practices for this entire mess some estimates for years scoble.
6:37 pm
we want to be what are your best customers. and if we're. going to be one of them. and then. kind of funny considering that the koch brothers might be one of the worst offenders when it comes to speculation in fact back in the eighty's they're the ones that started the entire practice. now think progress has done an in-depth investigation into the matter and joining us now to give us more details as we thought and that's a good researcher for think progress dot org at the center for american progress progress action fund lead thanks so much for joining us tonight i first want to ask you if we talk about these criticisms that are coming from the republicans and from americans for prosperity they are saying that it's all the regulations that obama has placed on the oil industry and all the energy industry aside from i don't know
6:38 pm
maybe the very short term moratorium that he put on drilling in the gulf and you tell me what regulations they're talking about aren't we drilling more oil at home right now than we have been since two thousand and three. yeah well first thank you so much for having me on your show and yes you're actually were a domestic oil production levels or at the highest point we've seen since two thousand and two of the very thing environmentalist really should be i would say obama we're actually opening up new leasing areas and increasing. our oil production levels so you know the criticism that obama is not pumping or drilling of oil really false but well of course the other criticism is that the obama administration the democrats might be toying with the idea of getting rid of the oil subsidies of all those tax breaks that these companies enjoy and it's really interesting because you think of americans americans don't like taxes they don't want anybody to play to pay higher taxes especially conservative americans they also don't like the idea of anybody being on welfare the oil industry lives off of
6:39 pm
government welfare how do you get people to understand that. well you know i think a big part of the problem is just the media the media has reported it for years and we've had all subsidies that grown and grown and grown and just a month ago democrats in congress propose ending tax subsidies for some of the biggest oil companies actually some the smaller independent oil companies were exempted and you know the big five oil majors made thirty five billion in just the first quarter of this year so they don't need the subsidies which are billions of dollars that are borrowed from countries like china and you know there are you making record profits and it's doing nothing to reduce the price of the plant so you know i don't think see things changing but this is something that people need to remember when we talk about this debate i now want to get into your investigation he did about the koch brothers of course they're claiming that it's all obama's fault they're denying the idea that speculation might have anything to do with rising oil prices by they have their hands very very deeply entrenched in
6:40 pm
this entire matter if you tell us more about their role and speculation yes fascinate you know a lot of you won't have heard of the koch brothers just in the last two years and i think of them as maybe an oil refining company because they live it own two large oil refineries or maybe a temper company has a timber company temper plants around the country but no one really understands that much of their multibillion dollar empire they're one of the largest private companies in the world and and the second largest in america. come from. the company operating very much like a hedge fund they're in an investor company and they hired a very different speculum strategy used to profit off the trading of oil since the eighty's they in fact invented a very worst oil derivative driven based on the price of oil and they helped lobby to create the first loophole that allows deregulated oil speculation in one thousand nine hundred three and they also wrote in for mr enron loophole i think
6:41 pm
she called the coke loophole because to kogelo lobbyist along a route that helped write that that infamous loophole. that allowed these private exchanges these dark oil market exchange respect certain political after the year two thousand now we have we have ice we have a c.m.e. group we have the goldman sachs private exchange rate the morgan stanley one and these things are an almost taken over the global economy and that's why you see such high energy prices and actually booed and natural gas prices all over the world now we talk about we talk about the koch brothers talk about goldman sachs are there also the other big five well companies or it doesn't have to be five of the biggest oil companies in the world and in the us are they involved in the speculation as well. yeah that's the really interesting thing when you get into these these really big companies they start medical metamorph are out there sizing and changing you know where you have what companies that are acting like big banks where they're using their privileged position in the market to make speculative
6:42 pm
bets on the price of oil in the short term in the long term and you have big banks acting like oil companies you have. a citi group bind up. pipelines buying up tankers even buying up their fire east just so they can get an edge on the speculative game it's fascinating to me and i think a lot of you will see these big brands like b.p. shell they think oh there's just no one company no that's not the case that we operate a lot like three. so if this is so in your face i mean just explain this to me right because the last month of course the obama administration decided to create an entire taskforce they said that they would investigate speculation to see if there's anything illegal going on to get to the bottom of while prices are so high gas prices are four dollars a gallon this seems pretty in your face why do you need a task force to investigate it or you know is it actually kind of blurry when it comes to the legal issues. it's very blurry when it comes to legal issues and the only regulator for this type of activity is the commodity futures trading
6:43 pm
commission very drastically under-funded i mean there's a big new york times story paper i believe where they can't even afford staplers they're going through just talking to different regulators and talking about how they handle a bargain for a bus passes to get to new york just to check on some of these agencies more over one of this trading goes on on live or in london and moved online markets no one really knows what's going on so you know it's great that obama announced this d.o.j. see if you see task force look for illegal manipulation but there's legal. excessive speculation that's the big problem here and there's no one who's really policing it or overseeing what's going on so once again and no one's policing anything that's going on do you think that that means that we have a bubble that's going to burst. i mean i think so i'm not a financial expert i have done a lot of research in the last few months to write this piece but you know a lot of the experts i spoke to including former staffers at the see if you see so
6:44 pm
that if you look at supply and demand fundamentals. the current price of oil should really be about half of what it is the price of crude is a little over one hundred dollars to be closer to fifty if you look at our market fund of letter elementals of supply demand so with it being june now it and car crashes as high as they are and people expecting that. many expect experts thinking the price will continue rising at least the ripper august this is we this what this is looking like a bubble that might pop up again not a financial expert but this does not really have here to market fundamentals are they i thank you very much for joining us tonight and telling us more about this and that's the case and that you did and we'll see if this whole campaign by the americans for prosperity in the club rather is actually works hopefully a little bit of truth will somehow see americans' minds as well outside it's easy to fake ads there thanks so much. if everything now so it turns out i have won a very famous conservative is now offering endorsements of these houses high
6:45 pm
schools i'm segments add ons happens hides happy hour one exploit brain takes out his brain fart anger be a billboard and britain says no the sequel of this is the sense of all the outback . into the only one with the mechanisms and it'll work out to bring justice accountability. i have every right to know what my government should do if you want to know why i pay taxes. but i would characterize obama as a charismatic version of american exceptionalism. you know sometimes you see a story at the scene so sorely sleep you think you understand it and then you did something else here's some other part of it and realized everything is ok. i'm
6:46 pm
6:47 pm
time for tonight's tool time awards night goes to red state dot com and erick erickson the conservative web site so some heat today after an account executive sent out an e-mail saying that erick erickson had a site would be selling endorsements now if you're not up to speed eriksson's a hard line conservative radio host he's also a paid contributor to c.n.n. we're back to the e-mail basically this scheme was a pay to play endorsement solicitation and the pitch right erick erickson's
6:48 pm
reputation along with his rising profile combine to make a red state the most influential conservative blog on capitol hill and across america they continue why not put eric's influence to work for your organization our new a red state and doors of program includes and this is the best part video endorsements but it must be subject to final approval by air sponsorship of the red state morning briefing delivery of red state dedicated email services posted advertising on red state dot com and limited program availability but how i found that a great deal doesn't it now it has about the email eriksson's irksome told politico that he had seen the solicitation before i went out right now had a publishing group that runs red state is also backpedaling on the issue saying the erick erickson would only endorse conservative groups have expressed an interest in the eric feels really strongly about isn't that nice so conservatives out to play other games. it is for their support that's how the g.o.p. folks make all their money i just wondered what would happen if
6:49 pm
a democrat approached erickson and asked for his endorsement and a high price where he let ideology fly out the window and as i mentioned erick erickson is a paid contributor on c.n.n. and he's a big talking head we have two clips to show you say you know what his point of view is you know the irony here though is that obama's unicorn of hope and change is dying under ted kennedy that if ted kennedy had decided to resign or retire we need found out just how that his health laws instead of learning to be a martyr for the cause of the democrats would be in this position i'm not throughout this war i dear him to try to throw me in jail i dear him to pull out my wife's shotgun and see how that little a.c.s. twerp likes me and scared of the door with her. so he's advocating for shooting census workers and he claims the late senator ted kennedy was trying to martyr themselves for health care you see what i mean rep really that i have a guy by now does website has been caught trying to pimp indorsements it proves
6:50 pm
that most of his rhetoric is probably phony and that's why red state erick erickson arts and i it's tool time winners. ok it's time for happy hour and joining me tonight is our producer jenny churchill and catherine seattle fellow at the competitive enterprise institute and a fellow at the independent women's forum ladies thank you for joining me first of all tell me how you would feel about your boyfriend if he did this to you there's a guy who actually put up a billboard because apparently and this this is where the stories get mixed of course and the girlfriend have different stories but it says a dis would have been a picture of my chew month old baby if the mother had decided to not kill our child and so basically he's airings of the entire world on the billboard that his ex-girlfriend decided to have an abortion and now she's suing him for it's i'm
6:51 pm
a little concerned about a tiny fact in the article and every reference was of girlfriend and boyfriend not x. girlfriend not exploit friend you know are they still do you know their ex-girlfriend they're not getting the article that i read that hydro your news anybody breitbart wrote of there is something but generally a rogue and i was really concerned i was like who would stay with this person i'm a long time or all the girlfriend ex-girlfriend also claims that she had a miscarriage and said that's not even true and that's why she's suing the guy that covers just so what would you do if i were you it's not that she's not going after him for a libel but it's reminds me of that scene from airplane where they're going back and forth you know parking in the red zone you know parking in the light zone and i know what this is really about you want me to have an abortion don't show you this is a man. feels like they're going to give more attention to this cause he perhaps when's the wrong way about getting better times when there is there is something to be sad about some man who loves attention to the father's perspective. mine holds a cure we don't really know the backstory right we don't know if they got pregnant
6:52 pm
the purpose of the we're trying to they're going to spend all this money on a billboard you could have just invested in a few condoms then this is a real problem the real problem is now we're sitting here to well does she have an abortion or was it a miscarriage discuss thing we should be talking about that this is this woman's private life why is it that this man felt it was necessary to take her private life and put it on a billboard if you really want to do it raise awareness there were many other ways he could have done that i find it obvious that he's not a good boyfriend is not so he's. also on to something that really is just actually takes the cake for being the most disgusting thing i think i've ever seen and let me just show you piece with trailer this is from the original movie called the human centipede. yes it gets tricks just. where we play it one of the most hard so i'm not even lying there but i do and i'm
6:53 pm
like shaking for a little r. laughter i watched that today exam was so disgusting it's really it's really really disturbing ideas that he likes that was an altogether different back and he even said if i do you know there's a sequel coming out and the u.k. is actually banned it because they say that it poses a real risk to viewers giving stuff i passed we banned insurance disgusting but you have to ban it as opposed to risk to viewers there's a lot of disgusting movies out there all i know is i watched the southpark episode making fun of the called the human scent typepad and i wasn't i right afterwards i saw i swear i was kind of mentally just. showing the province your decision you pay to go see the damn we i told any beforehand that if there was a real quick mr and i might have to walk up but i was so horrified about the idea of this movie that i couldn't even stand that the u.k. has been this from private d.v.d. sales as well it's completely banned from the entire country treating it like we treat child porn as if it's a real threat to viewers think it's
6:54 pm
a fictional movie i pad you know there's a little fantasy involved whoever's fantasy that is sick and twisted and should be allowed to have fantasies but it's also censorship we've got a lot of stories today ok there's also a new video out from this is out of get on who's an american in who is an al qaeda representative and basically here release this nice little video to tell people where they can get guns. i mean. with easily obtainable firearms you can go down to a gun show the local convention center and come away with the automatic assault rifle with all the background check and most likely without having to show a very different colored so what are you waiting for. so what are you waiting for apparently the white house is really taking this video seriously too i don't know if you think they should be taking it seriously or not i definitely think that it's too easy for people to get a gun in this country but should they be taking this video seriously taking it seriously in that there should be some transparency people know what the background
6:55 pm
check is required to know that they can get a gun in almost every jurisdiction there shouldn't be the fact that there are such murky laws including bans and sun cities it's a little extreme and i think that it winds up hurting americans when when some people know what the laws are listening to the background check to see the person who's even mentally sound which is seen as they would involve whatever of these there is. being an environmental activist means they are part of a terrorist organization to that's where some of the problems lie i think that we need to be really clear here the issue is not the fact that you know they're putting out these videos about here you can go get guns the issue is that there's people in this country who if they wanted to could easily do harm whether or not they got i got here i thought others of mine you know you don't need to go to a gun show and get a gun to do damage in this country you could easily build a bomb in your basement and take it to the match or all i'm saying is there are many other ways to do harm and this is just you know one way that i
6:56 pm
mean the focus on this way instead of instead of banning toothpaste from airplanes . i think jenny apparently that's the p.s.a. that the white house needs to be worried about right now ok really quickly we have a lot of space talk on this show and it turns out we were talking about this before how this is really turning over into the commercialization of the space industry. now they're offering these like slingshot trips basically good to go around the moon and it turns out this was according to russian news sources this is all still kind of hush hush reportedly james cameron is going to be the first one to do that and he's going to shovel out one hundred fifty million dollars in order to do that he wants to bring some kind of a three d. camera along to film it so i think that's kind of what kind of talks on this before first so i was like well you know no longer is space something that the country can be proud of and it's exploration for everybody it's only for the rich people but it seems cameron is creative he creates nice pieces of art and this gives him some
6:57 pm
inspiration i'm ok with that and let's have some private access to the space program instead of just a nationalized program that's going to get it and if it was can support it and they can take it well this is what's going on now but they're using the russian soyuz rocket because we don't have any and he left us oh yeah i find it kind of sick that he's going to spend one hundred fifty million dollars to fly on the moon which i find totally worthless but other people are paying their bills in pennies and getting better life for if they don't have any money ok if i've been running out of time with our last story we want to talk about a guy paid his fine for twenty five dollars all in pennies and then he got arrested for disorderly conduct because i think apparently he just threw it at the people but still particular should be able to pay pennies with the legal tender girls i got to that's all the time we have thanks for joining me jenny enjoy your wedding now they are nice joe thanks for tuning in to make you come back tomorrow original we're going to leave surfacing that show that the u.s. boxing people ages down in haiti so americans buy cheaper dreams and we sometimes
