round the city the colonel was fortunate to retreat. on our debt rollercoaster the republican party claims negotiations in the u.s. senate are close to reaching an agreement on the debt dilemma but experts fear this could just be another round of political pingpong on capitol hill. poland admits responsibility for the plane crash that killed president kaczynski last year but the published report still tries to shift the blame to russia. and shadow of egypt up to one hundred fifty thousand anti-government protesters flood the streets and squares of israeli cities demanding netanyahu steps down.
12:03 pm
hello my name is kevin i would thanks for being with us you're watching our weekly news review of the week here on our team and first there's another round of political bickering in washington that is the debt ceiling deadline approaches the leader of the republican party in the senate rushed to announce negotiations are close to reaching an agreement but the democrats quickly responded that a compromise is still far from certain as catch up with the latest. report in new york could see so mixed messages from both parties on capitol hill than so far today what is going on there as we head toward this very crucial vote. well you would think heaven that if all these u.s. lawmakers are working over the weekend there would at least be some consensus some type of compromise but as you mentioned sunday morning on all the talk shows here in new york we saw these u.s. lawmakers give interviews the republican saying a close deal deal is close to being reached the democrats coming on t.v.
12:04 pm
saying that it's inching closer but there is no final agreement because the entire congress cannot agree or the lawmakers cannot agree on where to make cuts if this debt ceiling is raised so what we see is just another chapter in this long book of of us bickering of political posturing we we are seeing u.s. lawmakers get in front of the cameras day after day fight show the fact that they can't come together and agree we see an election year that is approaching and clearly the republicans and those that are opposed to president barack obama us president obama are taking the opportunity to try to put him in a very weak and in secure position in the meantime it is compromising the u.s. economy overall our goal is to give it to the one room on the brink of the full meaning before the country want to be able to make the republicans on its debt.
12:05 pm
such a big country get into their state. well kevin since one thousand nine hundred sixty the u.s. has raised the debt ceiling seventy eight times the pattern of the u.s. economy and legislators and their structure here has been borrow and spend borrow and spend and what has created this uncertainty among investors among american citizens among wall street business owners is the fact that there's never been a plan in place on how to cut the deficit how to bring down the spending and stop borrowing and you know. other countries foreign countries such as china the biggest lender to the u.s. are now concerned and rightfully so because the world is watching u.s. leaders come together and continue to disagree they can't come to an agreement on how to approach its fiscal problems how to create and environment of certainty
12:06 pm
and so this means that u.s. consumers are not spending u.s. business owners are reluctant from hiring the economy here in the u.s. still isn't doing well at all unemployment is at or above nine point two percent and to see the leaders of the u.s. not be able to come to a compromise on how to. get their fiscal books in order how to pay down this big hole that continues expanding with remind our viewers the u.s. debt right now is that fourteen point three trillion dollars in there fighting to raise that ceiling there's not a plan in place on how to bring down the debt whether that ceiling is raised or not whatever agreement is reached that debt is still there and the u.s. has created a pattern of borrowing and spending but not so much focusing on how to pay back all the money that is being loaned to it. to go with the ladies you

know the mule but you. debt drama also continues to unfold in europe too with more struggling economies being dragged in. we should have amputated greece from the euro zone long ago the greek it drain weighs heavily on spain the country prepares for the worst over its credit rating because of its eurozone stablemates instability got more lead. next the warsaw admits its crew was responsible for last year's fatal plane crash in western russia that killed president lech kaczynski along with dozens of the country's ruling elite but the inquiry still led part of the blame on moscow saying that russian air traffic controllers also contributed to the disaster how it is a lecturer at jet ski reports next on how the national tragedy has become a pawn in the political game. another day another blame game poland's very own probe into last year's presidential plane crash in smolensk all but confirmed the
12:08 pm
findings of russia's investigation that the crew was almost solely responsible for the tragedy. at this point there is an obstacle a tree that the aircraft collides with the fragment of the left wing is detached the aircraft begins there are taishan but let me emphasize it's not that the tree was too high the aircraft had simply been at a location where it shouldn't have been it seems the very things that got in the way of the plane are now getting in the way of warsaw taking full responsibility and trees are not the only thing rooted in poland failing to see eye to eye with moscow. here's where the approach controller two thousand metres away should have told the crew to stop descending the horizon command should have been issued exactly at this moment this shows that the landing zone controller was performing his duty in an incorrect way on this day such statements come as little surprise to experts with some of them saying acceptance of total responsibility would be impossible for the society they've been given the truth and the truth is unbearable
12:09 pm
they can't take it now i don't think that the polish investigators think they can pin the blame on anybody else but i do think that they are looking to pin some of the blame on somebody else aviation experts echo this opinion calling the swipes against the russian side unsubstantial some of your claims concerning the airport or controllers they have nothing to do with the crash i've been a pilot for over thirty years and i know a simple rule if you don't see the runway or it's like of the decision height you have no other choice than to raise the landing gear and go to your reserve airport the initial rush unload investigation was greeted by a novel launch of criticism from some movements in poland they expressed doubts about. the reliability of the report often based on anti russian sentiment and some experts say it is not pure emotion driving this but well thought tactics you could
12:10 pm
put it. i think we're now witnessing some political games to shift the blame from the polish side of i was an expert in this commission and i was surprised to learn to the crew was chosen immediately before the flight such a poor preparation for such a high profile flight publication of this report had been delayed for several months and was very much anticipated in poland it was meant to put paid to all speculation regarding this plane crash but instead it could once again be used as a political tool experts say the timing of the publication is not coincidental show this could be exploited also in the political electoral campaign because this should be known that the. being. parliamentary elections this report and all that issue but if your tablet will be. even easier than the electoral campaign and the twin brother of the late president kaczynski was quick to prove this suggestion with a sharp round about the report the prime minister to escape has no courage to take
12:11 pm
up the responsibility for the plane crash and has shuffled it off on to his staff nevertheless he is responsible for all the games he played with the russians he's responsible that the poles were not conducting or even participating in the investigation he's responsible for not defending polish interests and at the international forum which will get to the bottom of this case as this is what we owe to those who died while the polish society is still deciding whether to admit the plane full responsibility which comes with a report experts are speculating whether this is a fair and objective investigation or an attempt to please all the players in the long lasting blame game. r.t. reporting from warsaw in poland. while for. look at the timeline of the polish presidential plane crash take a look at our website. second
