someone has to pay for it which is that of the people who don't need it is going to people who don't want it i personally am a libertarian but there are people who have big conscience issues that this and we're forcing people to pay for things that they don't want but how can you have support from women you're the independent women's forum when you're saying no no no no no they'll give us these handouts how do you justify that to your base your. constituency it's all women of america who are going to go wow you're not represented as we we want to know about actually i would i would postulate that maybe nancy pelosi and maureen dowd don't speak for the will of america the entitlements war was founded in one thousand nine hundred two to actually push back against the idea of nancy pelosi i think as a significant part of that population she speaks very well for women in america who have over thirty five million dollars in net worth. good point oh ok so we can we push back against the idea that women want and benefit from big government i actually find that really insulting i think that women can compete on their own without uncle sam putting his thumb on the scale. women children families are best

of what they're saying residents are stepping up barricades against government tanks blocking military supply lines and defending their neighborhoods with stones from encroaching government troops. and today marks the first day of ramadan a holy month for muslims and it is this time that the government of syria fears that its people will become especially inspired to rise up in greater unison incidentally today is also the sixty sixth anniversary of the creation of the syrian army so the crackdowns are turning up and intensity too despite them taking a break from cracking skulls to lay summary somehow some ceremonies and give the president another excuse for a speech but over the past weekend it's believed that more than seven the syrians were killed the hands of sots forces fifty five alone and see if not a city that is in some of the most violent government crackdowns since the demonstrations began in march what's going on in syria is both earth shaking and hideously monstrous and in the violent crackdowns that we see from the government

. angela first why do you think there's such a reluctance to tell this story why is it going so under reported. i mean aren't the reasons why these things are not reported i mean foreign policy isn't terribly important here is the central lives of most americans these things are always found places you always find them like antiwar dot com and you can find material that's out there one just has to be looking for it but also to you know sort of thing you know sometimes a us puppet you know what obama's doing his little wait and see approach now that assad is way out of your family because the ok we're going to side with the rebels i mean if you miss foreign policy it's really an exercise in cynicism and that's really all that's happening here is what it is or isn't or it's whether the crackdown just don't work as well as they used to it's not the streets and it's not sweeping people protesting well because i see that and they're inspired to stand out more if the government doesn't want to do this or they feel that it's so bad it often inspire solidarity and it seems that the arab spring at supersport it almost

has hit a wall in syria but is that is that because of our intervention the use of assad is an american puppet. intervention and it's imperative that i mean i'm being somewhat or mean obviously these are people that you know or are there with the support of the united states government and you know he wants withdraw their support when it becomes a difficult to keep them there when it's was more probably call of the war than it's worth in any sense to keep their. he he was has you know it's very slow as i use the arab spring was it is a war it's troubling we're going to just slowed pace a little bit that might be fair we want to think your time you don't like putting this all into context it's only july i mean you know there are people who are doing this in real time but it would be quite a while before we actually were able to put this in any real context of what it means for us to. you know the idea of democracy in different places so i think what

you were wait and see but you know it's what i see you know is that i mean it's understood i think your question is part of your policy is that the u.s. is central to almost all foreign policy everywhere i mean that's the empire so we have our police there and it's not but it's not is it i mean it's not terribly important to any of these people up here we bring iraq obama it's not violent massacres they are the average american doesn't know we're serious doesn't care if there's you know there's no ripping wrenching story here that if you can get behind it also to these are arabs they're not wait they're not waiting for normal americans to get excited about and care about so it you know we probably are going to hear terribly much about it except you know i have my word out in places like well it seems like in contrast to some of the other revolutions we've seen recently what would happen it's an easier and easier than the kind of timeline that we saw those following almost in an orderly process there were there was an obstacle and escalation a resolution i mean our seen in egypt perhaps it happened too fast as protests are being cracked down whatever reform happened there wasn't enough to respect the

basic freedoms of protests that brought about that revolution in the first place but it seems that the really the violence from the government on protesters in syria is it's just another level and it's been going on for longer and the numbers in the death toll really separates it from some of these other revolutions what it what is the outcome of this going to be and why do you think so to speak it's taking so long if assad's tactics really aren't that great. it's you know certainly five months ago and they're going to crack down brought a few hundred to a few thousand in work practice maybe there is only made the number swell so this tree grow only isn't on the government side here and the violence isn't stopping the crowds and that's really the only thing i think they have left so i you know and terrible disease is in the syrians are dying in the long run in the long run you know they seem to be winning and winning in the sense of they're not backing the the rest of the ordinary people are not backing down so what we learn from this

in america where a lot of people are watching the arab spring are watching globally humanity's attitudes toward government itself fundamentally change what can americans take away from watching what's unfolding in syria. you know i don't know if it's a returning attitude is i don't at this here really think that there's really much for us to learn if americans really wanted their freedom they have much much easier ways of actually knowing about doing it they're just there for many many reasons and americans are quite content and happy with a great life is here so i'm not really certain that there is that it is a place for the literature is for a man a fantasy about the about arab spring and about the spread of freedom throughout the world i just don't share and i think that if it were about these things and what i say wait and see and i'm not certain it's not clear to me that it's places. where you're eighteen months from now if years from now or ten years from now i want to see that the overall direction given you know given all the other trends in the rules certainly they'll be freer more modern in the ways that we generally

you get your first real paycheck from a real corporation or government license business you are no longer engaged in voluntary commerce now the government is in a relationship that's right that ever little institution of mass organized violence is now in your personal economic relationships when they told you that you were going to make so many dollars per hour you probably did some quick math in your head and said well that sounds like a pretty good deal and for what your labor is actually worth it probably was when you were cruelly introduced to the idea of withholdings when you got your first paycheck you might have noticed that some of it was missing there is that federal withholding medicare social security regular see that money again and state withholding and thus you are forced to lower your expectations of what was possible and what your own value is but on the way that was just the part you saw where the average working american over half of what we earn goes to government at one level or another in one form or another when you add up all the taxes fees fines and licensing requirements for being

a fully functional american citizen but all of this was voted up and set up under the constitution and the government says you are bound by the social contract that you never even signed to follow the rule of law let me turn author edward abbey for a little help explaining how this government by rule. all of law thing works as he said if you refuse to pay under us taxes your property will be confiscated if you attempt to defend your property you will be arrested if you resist arrest you will be clogged if you defend yourself against clubbing you will be shot dead and these procedures are known as the rule of law so this puts you in quite a bind doesn't it would you know that first paystub do you see the gun behind it do you see the violence inherent in the fruit of your labor being claimed by government and if not doesn't matter the money you are now sending to the government will be used for all sorts of crimes of force and violence that innocent afghan trying to struggle in said that victim of police brutality that business first closed because of government regulations you pay for that now the blood what

is well be on your hands you have a choice or you could hang your head and accept the monstrously or gov as we call them you can sit idly by while the crimes of our government continue but no you can't even sit idly by you are forced to work for this to support it with your greatest of efforts to work half the year to support the crimes of government so will you accept this condition or will you resist will you at least demand your freedom or will you be like most americans when they see their first paycheck surrounded by lemmings when you follow your parents off the cliff. the government so you can mostly moaning i guess i'll go back to the fantasies of t.v. fiction and bury my head in the sand what will you do this is why you have to be paying attention this is why what we cover on the shield matters now and i not have
