market. why not what's really happening to the global economy with my stronger for a no holds barred look at the global financial headlines tune into cars a report on our cheap. oh thank goodness thank goodness we have the do wonderful political leaders or wait what did obama call them. let me distinguish between professional politicians and. the public at large. right professional politicians who gave us the ability signed into law last night that gave us more spending more debt more taxes and a bullet bureau site we've got dr webster griffin tarpley on his recent trip to live yes the phone molyneux and all the ways the federal government is already in the fault also of the debate between guns and gold and we've got historic victory for organic foods and a historic defeat for conservatives is
7:01 pm
a look from the inside of inside c fact we take all the shortcuts of the truth so you get to sit back relax and watch out on versus the man. the debt ceiling started to sound like a broken record right and. we're going to blow your brains out america. no no no that's not what happened yes today is the would be default day but thanks to professional politicians here in the district of criminals we've been saved from disaster but it seems a little crisis was imagined
7:02 pm
a staged drama even now we look back on the government shutdown of one thousand nine hundred four and think of the people behind it is completely irrelevant imagine how it will look back on this little episode this whole debt crisis was no more real than santa claus weapons of mass destruction in iraq or voluntary taxation just to recap for all the drama of the last several months oh the hyperbole for all the satan sandwich is now a single prize thanks to former speaker nancy pelosi what we finally end up getting is a continuation of the status quo although with china's leading credit rating agency announcing today their downgrade of u.s. sovereign that we may be paying more to service the oncoming that in the future so for all the back and forth and political theater aside from being the laughingstock of the world and making it more costly to borrow money from now on what should we get no taxes not exactly or no tax raises even because you see when
7:03 pm
government spending goes up the money has to come from somewhere we the people always pay for when the spending happens without direct direct taxation it's the hidden inflation tax that as we are seeing now it's america's poor and working class you know just so well obama's doing enough to chicago for his birthday party fundraiser dems in washington who voted for the deal are doing their best to sound triumphant and for someone like congresswoman debbie wasserman schultz chairman chairwoman of the d.n.c. i let a little truth get the way of a good story she appeared on m s n b c yesterday to proclaim that the government is actually turning the economy around how are they doing it. but we're still you know we're creating jobs. each month in the private sector. really now i know you slimy statists like to use the royal we a lot but you're not the ones creating jobs in the private sector you realize that
7:04 pm
right and in case you didn't notice it's your policies that are resulting in jobs in the private sector being lost faster than even me most royal we can create them now the administration is taking heat for this white house press secretary jay carney and ironically appropriate name if there ever was one can only reply with a vision of responsibility at this point but it's been down for me what method is the prescription part of the market commentators it could be that. there's some big we're not very good session you said you're going to see what i think. going on well again we're not. we don't spend a lot of time focusing on things that we can't control things they can't control if only that or true well one of our regular contributors here on atom vs the man is
7:05 pm
the host of freedom in radio dot com the phone at molineux who correctly predicted that it was all that difficult the outcome of the that debacle that we just experienced and we're bringing them back tonight to to gloat to hold it over a republican heads and to tell us all the ways no one else could possibly formulate on the ways that the government is already in the fault so far molineux things so much for joining us against. you did you call this one i mean it it's and have been too hard but you are really right on the money when it came to this there's that ceiling debate. well thank you adam i can't play much intellectual credit for that it's like predicting about iraq when opened from a handful of ground but what i will say is that this is one of the few budget bills that i would cozy up to account with and kiss name i would even french kiss this bill because i think what it does is a granted rare kind of liberty from the government and that is liberty from
7:06 pm
illusions and it's a liberty from illusions that the political process is going to help save us from politics because after all the hurly burly of wrangling going to dangling in the metaphors and the well of the crazy worth of lying around why do we end up when where we end up with a bill we're no space is cut where after ten years you end up with a far bigger federal deficit and a pedal. debt and so to me it's just being completely ridiculous this is when you've got millions of people attending tea party rallies republicans hold the house you've got sixty tea party members in congress you've got rand paul rand paul peter schiff marc faber doug casey all of the great austrian economists and thinkers predicting all of this you've got two hundred million dollars in spending over ten years from copeland ations for smaller government republicans you've got atlas shrugged movies internet access to everything and what you end up with with all of these stars aligning to minimize government no smaller government and frankly larger government oh ok but look this is us in the people are going to away
7:07 pm
from this with some form of realisation like are you suggesting that in high school classes across america where they're discussing current events and and wouldn't couldn't avoid an initial like this that children are asking their teachers wait a second how can spending go up by nine hundred billion dollars at least in the immediate short term because of this bill and taxes don't go out and that they're getting some kind of these an answer. well the answer that they're going to get is probably from the same teacher who's changing all of their grades scores in order to qualify for bonuses program so they may not be getting the best math scores out of their teachers but no it's completely mad look i mean what they've done is just a massive slate of hand would be completely illegal in the free market of the private sector you know they said well we've got all these growth in government and so if we just shave it down by a percentage or two we'll call that savings it's complete you know it's a fun. summer of yours when they hear me ask the site's not next question i think that i'm walking into a trap of some kind but would you have been a
7:08 pm
a little bit in now heard of relieved encouraged anything positive in some way if the republicans have gotten a balanced budget amendment out of this debate and a balanced budget amendment we already have a laboratory of fifty or fifty one states almost every state in the us except for mine as a balanced budget amendment already has that prevented them from sliding into bankruptcy including three of the largest states right illinois new jersey and california and they're all in fiscal flames millions of ways to get around it and creating a caped and monocle super congress isn't going to do anything to change that it just means that although by going it's going to be even further away from any kind of outside eyes ok i'm going to actually do something really tough and i know it's going to be really difficult for your mindset to wrap around this idea but imagine that there is a monopoly on force in society called the government and if it's what we've accepted that we passively accept that what do you expect from them in terms of
7:09 pm
responsibilities that are are particularly offensive to you but they are now the commitments so the future not burden our children with unreasonable taxes those kinds of things. what they've done is they've hockey stick your bulged all up and cats ten years down the road to some congress that they're very unlikely to be any kind of part of what they're doing is they're taking the last bits of fire to the last bits of legitimacy in the minds of the population they're sacrificing and defaulting on credibility and integrity and any sense of honor or decency and creating a web of words that will swallow the next generation whole and hopefully will not come back to bite them too badly but i fear otherwise sometimes i think some of us are desirous of our knowledge will be taken with you again next time the politicians here in america try to scare us we know we can always turn to the reasonable canadian to tell us how to out how to get a perspective on this and not be fooled into supporting policies that are so
7:10 pm
against our best interests thanks against the fine. so what else do we have to look forward to in this deal well in terms of process in congress it's going to change a little bit no debates nor mentions no filibustering checks and balances. constitute constituent put probably not happening that's what the law making process makes them look like as we usher in the era of the super congress but no that's not super congress to the rescue that's super congress going to screw you well so all in the first bites of the saint sandwich that is the bipartisan debt ceiling deal americans will come to find the compromise bill contains more than just an additional seven trillion something dollars in bed shackles last week we reported on the alarming proposal of a legislative body that would supercede both houses of congress a super congress like a bad freddy krueger movie that is that nightmare is now manifesting itself into
7:11 pm
reality thanks to provision jammed into the bill that allowed for the committee's creation the committee will consist of only six democrats and six republicans who behind closed doors will be able to craft pieces of legislation that the rest of congress have absolutely no control over beyond a simple yes or no vote by official excuse the committee has been created to ensure that government spending is slashed by over one point five trillion dollars over the next ten years in reality of course we're not slashing anything because those are only cuts from projected growth as a part of the debt limit deal yes the politburo. because the communist party don't stop the committee has unconstitutionally been handed the law making powers of our actual congress as a whole what this means is that incredibly controversial bills can't be tabled or kept from the house floor as they can be now if the super congress so chooses to force them on to the floor as larry pratt of gun owners of america has noted the
7:12 pm
president this development sets could see all kinds of inning legislation come to the floor in such a manner here are a few he feels that as a possibility a new assault weapons ban or ban on semiautomatic altogether even a national and generous version of course it doesn't stop at guns this committee can introduce any number of outrageous encroachments on constitutional liberties without fear of reprisal from other house members again this new tear in the federal power structure further distances lawmakers from the people effectively creating an american counterparts of the soviet area soviet era whole of europe if i'm making this out to sound like a sadder we organization with no oversight that's because it essentially will be and believe me campaign contributions will go way out for members of the super congress to ensure they can buy enough of the votes that are supposed to keep them in check assume for a minute young people watching the al gore's green acolytes don't successfully
7:13 pm
extinguish your chances to have children someday what will the state funded teachers of tomorrow color system of government in their classrooms what struck two definitions shallowing republic noun state in which supremes power is held by the people and their elected representatives and which has an elected or nominated president rather than a monarch and now all the darky a small group of people having control of the country or organization. so with a brand new shiny super congress which sounded more like to you now i know the man behind the curtain of the banks there's an superclass in which i count obama the way there's been an effective oligarchy behind the scenes for quite some time now but now it's front and center now even in our supposedly capable of being pure and honest houses of government that the shadowy oligarchy hides behind we have not even a sham of a republican more never let in a crisis go to waste our so-called leaders in congress of bipartisan lee pave the
7:14 pm
road to serfdom into an eight lane superhighway to save. when we come back well weigh in on the age old debate of guns versus gold build on the lies of a conservative civil war or is that the war of neal called aggressive answer the one started when i was a recent trip to libya stay tuned for more adam versus the. given that we are going to break. i think iraq is going to well. we're never going to says they're going to keep him safe get ready because you lose your freedom.
7:15 pm
to sleep. get some pleasure see the story and the seem so sorely sleep is if you understand
7:16 pm
it in any glimpse something else can hear or see some other part of it and realize that everything you saw you don't. sometimes hard to think. in these difficult times of uncertainty well that that sounds like the start of an informational well i guess this is sort of for those of you who see the devaluation of the u.s. dollar because of our irresponsible government borrowing and spending every time you look at your savings account realize that your money buys less and less every day you might be wondering how to safely save your wealth from the hidden inflation
7:17 pm
tax well there are traditional means of investment to ensure that your money is outpacing inflation but in order to go that route you have to spend time take risks and to some extent put your put your faith and your fate in the hands of government regulators and the market manipulators empowered by our current government subsidized financial system if you want to put the time in as a trader then great but in today's paradigm of government seizures and interference in the market. i don't know paper investments can ever really be secure and so for the average american what do you do to beat inflation many of us turn to hard assets so tonight we're going to settle the score between two of the most basic kinds of assets you can trade your rapidly depreciating federal reserve notes for. precious metals
7:18 pm
and guns i asked the twitter verse what it thought and cited taxing to the question a bit broadly when i asked which was about a store of wealth guns or gold and he sent. l o once you're on firearms then stored food then alcohol believe it or not and i don't even drink well then precious metals so yeah if you want to be capable of fully autonomous survival you're going to need more than guns and bill and i see the practical and barter purposes of having a store of alcohol but we're just looking at them as savings here both have the advantage of being physical property easy to have in your home except if you live somewhere the government doesn't want you to own guns yeah yeah i know but well not here in d.c. in some states the second amendment is still given a bit more than lip service. the government once made owning gold a legal too so maybe it's a good thing it's really easy to hide
7:19 pm
a lot of wealth and gold but gold even in clever distribution mechanisms like this half gram of gold on a card from k.b. worth about thirty dollars is not very practical for bartering if as they say the excrement hits the air conditioner and you actually have to barter in the absence of a broadly accepted currency now the gold is at an all time high against the dollar being valued at sixteen hundred fifty seven dollars per ounce at the moment but check out this chart of the day from july twentieth this shows very clearly how the price of gold has followed increases in the supposed u.s. debt limit so with more debt on the way the price of gold bar and massive unforseen factors will continue to rise but i don't think that necessarily represents an increase in value remember the price of gold may go up but if the price of all other goods rises proportionately you're just saying it on your well but in practical barter silver has an advantage and this happened silver coin from american open currency standard is worth about twenty dollars and this one nine
7:20 pm
hundred fifty nine dime from back when dimes that silver in them put together by what is this coin worth info is worth about three dollars and on the back it even has a handy guy for converting coins with silver and then to the more familiar u.s. dollar values so what are both gallons well as writable ten seventy nine points out firearms are precious metals. indeed they are but just so the f.b.i. agents up stairs no this one is made out of precious plastic ok you don't have the advantage of intrinsic practical value lack by gold and silver and are more stable in value it's much harder to manipulate the price of guns than it is to manipulate the price of a commodity and it really hits the fan guns will get you food and provide personal protection or is being three four nine tweeted farms not only hold value well but also have the potential to be the most sought after items on the planet and for good reason guns also have the investment advantage of government interference in the market government never makes it easier to own guns so uncertain guns become
7:21 pm
illegal or difficult to purchase or not own values skyrocket but this is taking out the other survivalist arguments here but get our guns and gold without say what are some of the other store their wealth and seats personally i've got a couple of cases of emory's a handful of gold and silver and all the guns i can get my hands on but the best answer to your question comes from j k i still who may have been taking me to from would include say hussein's gold plated a case firearms made out of precious metals keep the rounds lead though indeed and if you ever need to hunt to survive overtrading purpose after the government makes producing ammunition illegal. don't forget to bring plenty of bullets all right. now it in another subplot to the drama in washington there's one federal agency that is taking some immediate hits. the f.a.a. and c.f. are putting on this dramatic kabuki theater debt limit ceiling debate charade for
7:22 pm
us the house adjourned for their summer recess and the senate left yesterday not to return until september meanwhile we're left with the mess they left behind in the evil mechanisms of government still grinding away at the soul of america in the case of the f.a.a. four thousand employees have been furloughed and two hundred construction projects have been stopped don't worry too much air traffic controllers are still in place but this is a consequence of giving the government a monopoly on essential service sometimes the rug was pulled out from underneath the bennett people for the worst of reasons and in this case it's because a house bill passed by representative john mica a republican chairman of the committee that oversees the f.a.a. contains sixteen point five million dollars in cuts in air service subsidies to thirteen rural communities and is being held up by senator rockefeller democrat chairman of the senate committee that oversees the f.a.a. why when he from those f.a.a. programs go to people in a state and he probably gets donations from people who get government contracts from them another consequence of the effie's operator thirty expires their
7:23 pm
inability to collect taxes from airlines in the us they have missed out on about two hundred million dollars normally passengers pay for this on average about thirty dollars on a three hundred dollars ticket although for a few hours worth of sales on july twenty third of the airlines had to refund that difference when the f.a.a. was in there to collect it they venn adjusted their fares to all of the amounts so you wouldn't notice not bad thinking in case the government somehow demands they pay the taxes retroactively but instead of putting them in escrow as transportation secretary ray la hood called for their pocketing the money which is also understandable since they've been losing so much lately but even obama against the debt limit drama took the time to call on congress to resolve the issue before the summer recess mean so blunt as to refer to this as quote another washington inflicted wound on america now if only there were such a standoff over the i.r.s. is operating a throwing. as far as libya is concerned at least thirty two countries now including the united states obviously have decided that the rebels have already won
7:24 pm
and recognized the national transitional council as the legitimate government of libya meanwhile president obama is being sued for his illegal involvement in the conflict so with that offer on his way out it would seem the script here is coming to a close foreign supported rebels will build a new government which will probably become a new face for the same with corruption nato will declare a great victory they can use to justify their unnecessary existence for another fifty years and obama might even get nominated for another piece price or is there more to the plot joining me now just back from a recent trip to libya is dr webster griffin tarpley activist historian author and investigative journalist but a terrible thanks so much for being with us tonight leisure so this is this is really exciting now before we get into the issues in libya tell tell us about the trip that came together and why you were compelled why it was so important to be reporting from on the ground in libya well i was able to spend about ten or eleven days in libya going through tunisia if you do a lot of driving because it's a no fly zone but you mention you get there and i think it's
7:25 pm
a great place you'd like it very much that two million kalashnikovs in private hands tripoli and whether it's pretty nice to a lot of people have r.p.g. beautiful mediterranean weather and i think a wonderful place and some of the friendliest progress and people you know when you think what nato is doing to them you think that a foreigner might get lynched but i saw none of that they have a very clear idea that this is coming from from certain imperialist elites and they don't they don't blame the average american say or french or the latest story we're going out of out of libya is that the rebel commander was recently assassinated what are the implications of that you look at to say your setup is wrong in the sense i think the rebels are actually closer to collapsing far more so than then then get out of the no i wasn't making that case but the international community has a that right mission right now anyway just two weeks after that we did kill this meeting in turkey where all these people were strong on by the u.s. and to recognize. it means these rebels you've got the murder of the number one or
7:26 pm
number two military commander yunus and beloved among revolutionaries carets. let's see another remember who are these people ok i don't that wasn't a revolutionary by the way and from the point of view of our history of the arab world get daffy is the revolution in these people of the counter and of illusion but specifically you've got to realize that the military effort of the rebels is largely al qaeda veterans in libya islamic fighting group where twins foreign fighters got back from afghanistan and pakistan the whole cia patsy milieu has been clued into libya so the nazis are so close to co-equal in a coalition well that they're just willing in this crisis or with gives us an advantage are still railway eunice was a guy who had been with gadhafi for quite a few kids and he had been a minister in the government but when the the rebellion got going the cia sent back a guy called if there are now you see his name is history hafter or have because it's a transliteration from arab area because i had the problem with the transliteration
7:27 pm
but that guy was the rival eunice and when i was there i heard pretty good reports that the yunus units would call in a nato airstrike on the hafter units and the historic half two units would call in a nato air strike on the units units so when you saw nato killing people that was sometimes because the rebels were settling their own scores on the nato airpower that stenson credible i'm going to imagine is the answer right now better than go the american tax argument is the extra weight if they knew in fact how we were use and manipulate their ok over to the other side khadafi easy easy he's doing the same he's going better than the rebel forces at this point of the counterrevolutionaries does he have a real base of support he does look after after the killing of yunus the rebels are now on the verge of a civil war among themselves which is a tribal vendetta of the or beta o.b.d. tribe of newness and fight. against the other at least this is a more stable writes about this artist ok the dow thing is in such
7:28 pm
a position that he is able to give one to two million. arms kalashnikovs primarily to people in the tripoli area. how could you do that if you didn't have popularity you know admittedly after four decades of gadhafi even though he has the best economic record in africa he's got a social safety net that we could die for here that we don't have but he delivered it the best use of oil revenue anywhere in the world their number fifty seven on the u.n. human development list the top in africa and they beat many countries in eastern europe and so those in latin america as a dictator is going to affect that he's done in effect a double take care of something and you know i was certainly a thought or a carian dictator sometimes but maybe not in every aspect of life status of women very good but here's the thing. there was a there's obviously after forty years there's going to be a group of people who are not so happy that sort of swampy little has been given back to get daffy by the ferocity of the nato bombing because you imagine when somebody comes after i was challenged in the established order of the established
7:29 pm
international order to establish international order through nato went to that coalition to go and this sounds good i think he's the only government in africa that refused or one of the very few refused to be integrated into the us african command ok well that was we've got just a second left here a lot of people are hoping that obama is going to be held to account for this is there any way there's little attention is the american people are pains for this issue right now that there's a chance that these illegal actions with the lawsuit against him could lead to his impeachment let's look let's look at. the last time there was a vote in the house and the queen senate resolution to cut off the funding and end the war through the house it needed fifteen more votes to pass now after this budget battle those tea party guys in the house of representatives have. their very own house and i think they've got to show they've got to do something to show that they are against obama libya is not perfect if they could be cut off the money if you are also that's not.
