percent flat and that would get us about maybe to try and submarines and then we'd be done these are jokes but you know mitt romney just proposed a plan that would cut in essence seven point eight trillion dollars worth of taxes the great majority of going to the rich so this is just a matter of people disagreeing on how much they want to help the richest people in the country it's really grotesque in a lot of ways i want to make a point kerry. well as always he comes out firing you know he's an entertaining character he minds me and josh brolin playing george bush in the movie w. so you know he looks like brolin a little bit and sounds like we're going to be comes out and says you know what i'm going to do i'm going to go on and tweeter and and he talked about how he killed people without any remorse in taxes you know congratulations to him what a tough guy he is but i thought romney and perry mason are really good and and i was almost a little surprised at how hard romney came after perry i mean he's seen the polls

obviously perry out of the gate is leading romney so it was a good fight i enjoyed it all the fight but at the end of the day these guys are fighting to run the country and i want to get your take on the falling there's clearly an ideological divide several ideological divides within this country do you think that america could handle peacefully the divide that i have believe whatever up if someone like rick perry were president i mean what happened to sort of the balance of ideas here and here in the u.s. . i mean i don't know how else would handle it but i mean if he really did any of his lunatic ideas like trying to get rid of social security on a federal level. he would have protests on his hand is a mild understatement because it's one thing when we start a war in iraq that almost none or no american is going to get involved except volunteer troops well then people don't care it's another thing when you involve

people's lives that affects everybody so in contrast to that when we had to be a no more everybody was on the street because they were afraid they were going to die they were going to get sent to vietnam didn't happen with iraq so people are always surprised why they were in big protests or big enough protests and continued protests because it was in their ass on the line to be honest it's going to take away people but when you try to do with people social security and medicare it's their ass on the line and they're not going to be happy with that and i don't know how that results in self and rick perry actually wins and tries to do these crazy things and at the same time we're hearing a lot of so-called political experts say that you know obama's really screwed here there's really some sort of a chance that you know he may not get another term and and so let's pivot to obama a little bit at the the the situation for the president here is not quite but i want to put up a graphic that i think we have he's obviously put polling at us or start close we have just forty three percent just forty three percent approving of the job he's doing i think twenty six percent think he's doing an ok job handling the economy

and let's keep in mind that number of shots great in august of zero so how's he going to get over this. you know he's in massive trouble and apparently doesn't quite understand that he is you know about a couple weeks ago maybe about a month ago when he was still in the high forty's i said he's going to hit the thirty's in approval rating soon and in fact there was two polls out about a week ago they had him at thirty nine and thirty eight he already had it even much quicker than i thought because his overall jobs plan is not the correct one it is the number one issue in the country and he keeps swallowing the republican strategy of let me give more and more and more to the rich and that hope that i'd some point out of the goodness of their hearts they create jobs here in the united states well that's a dumb idea that's a republican idea and i don't know why our so-called democratic president is going down that path but to not just says that's right but to all of our detriment but

what he's going to wake up and soon realize is dupes turns out the republicans were wrong i don't know why listen to him and now we still have unemployment at nine percent and then they're going to turn around and blame him saying that he's a socialist and use the government too much which is a joke right and then he's going to have no one but himself to blame and tonight he's going to come out with a job speeches in tiredly mediocre with more warmed over republican ideas and wonder why people don't support him he has no idea how far he can look how far he can drop in the polls and they. just can't have the beer says of it now i'm going what a lot of people go love us and of course they don't love you and i want nine point one percent unemployment and obviously you're not doing much about it and you know polls always go up and down but i want to get your take on whether you think there's been a fundamental shift here and now there's one quote that i want to play for you by the president of the f.b.i. you know where he said obama has lost the sense of power and mystique of the presidency there's also

a smarter way to go those targeted operations especially ones where we use our forces rather than the drones and that we need to do that to protect the country to some degree now when you get to the larger wars have they made a safer that's a joke it's nothing but a horrible horrible misstatement iraq war has inflamed entire middle east need enemies out of so many that didn't need to be our enemies and rightly so because we had absolutely no reason to go into iraq was a horrible mistake well it was a not really a mistake because dick cheney absolutely intended it and it was a disaster now when you get to our domestic issues here in the united states. i am really disappointed in how both political parties have shown great cowardice because i was taught the colors behind me of the american flight that they don't run right what do we do we we ran from the terrorists we changed our civil liberties because we were so afraid of

a bunch of guys hiding in caves so you know here are the number of things that have been changed and are still in place and we now do indefinite detentions in the united states of america we're not going to give due process that people we're going to hold them forever that's what dictatorships to that's what third world countries do we have targeted killings obama administration has stepped that up for united states citizens abroad we can execute them without any trial or due process that's not the country i grew up in that's sick and then you got a trial by military commission warrantless wiretapping racial profiling continued under the obama administration what has happened to this country you know what the terrorists have done to us is nothing compared to what we've done to ourselves being so damn scared of them i say we stop being scared and we go back to the america that we all knew and loved it was a shining beacon for the rest of the world we restore our rights and our liberties i'm disgusted by what's happened think those are strong words but at the end of the

day there's a lot of financial interests at stake in keeping the system as it is and of course war is a profitable business and there are a lot of companies that are heavily invested in fact in these kinds of exercises in the so-called military industrial complex and what strikes me and i want to get your thoughts on this is we have so much paranoia about you know big government and inefficiency of government especially coming out of the right wing and the tea party factions why doesn't that apply to the the humid security state that has grown in the decades and find a lot of it well that goes to the core of the problem in the united states of america overall now whether it's foreigner to mess. quasi which is that our politicians are bought we have become one fortunately a terribly corrupt nation and it's because we're systemically corrupt it's not that hey we've got a couple of bad apples and that congressman or that senator are on the take you know the whole systems on the take what they do is they get a lobbyist to pay them their campaign donations they run ads based on that that's

how they win the elections so they are all almost all of them in the pockets of the special interests the corporate interests the military interests and so. it should not be a conservative thing you shouldn't be a liberal think and say hey yes great let's have a surveillance state. i don't get it and i have to ask you about how do you get past it you're right it's not a concert of think it's not a liberal thing this is unfortunately the status status quo at the moment and you know you put in new regulations ok lawmakers can't go to dinner with a lobbyist they can stand and eat you know high table i mean this isn't have to essentially collapse in order for it to be somehow changed ok we can change it with hopefully one blow and that is a constitutional amendment saying that corporations are not human beings they cannot donate to politicians they can i get involved in politics because we've always had rich people in this country influence trying to influence our elections we get that and we've been able to fight that off and there are rich people who are

on the right side of history and on the wrong side of history but when you involve the power of multinational corporations buying our politicians we cannot stand up to the bully way that we can fight that influence and that includes the defense contractors by the way is to pass an amendment say they cannot be involved in the political process if we pass that amendment then we can clean up all of our politics but it will go back to having ideological debates who want to do that every day and we've seen over and over again we have these guys that were hopeful and ladies that were hopeful about their going to office and as soon as they can and they understand how the system works and they get stuck in that system so explain to me i'm just get out and i eve little american girl how do we change the system realistically. you said who will do that i get your answer i will. so there is the way you do that is that you do not go to washington and washington is infested with viruses taking over the body of washington you go to and do a cost to tional convention which only requires the states that participate.
