is absolutely part of the make up. somewhere else in the city where you can find. a my trainer was happy to point me in the right direction. underlay has been working as a blacksmith since he was a teenager and is the only person in the city who makes damascus steel a material that's created some of the world's finest so will. the push to start with you bring several different kinds of steel together. the pieces are in a certain way under welded together at high temperatures to go as soon as it turns white hot this means of the temperature is just right however once that happens you
9:40 pm
can begin to flatten it out just make sure you've got plenty of energy. hammering. to compress the layers of all in and steel and it's. a bit of a hit mr brooks. of damascus steel. assuming i can. get it. in the right place. and you have to be accurate over and over again just like that. policy is just over six times and having to do that all day. it's an exhausting process but fortunately i'm dreaming has a machine that will do the next most of hard work for you. as this. is where. to get. the whole city would like
9:41 pm
a. lot this out of this game i think. you need to do it several side of the poles once metal gets cold and get brittle. unfortunately can lead to cracks it seems this chunk of damascus steel was going to have to be recycled fortunately andre has another developed specimen. this is. a solid metal with most of it just calories in the edge. and hopes of getting the right. of the blades. and we just have one last round of heating in hammering to go. one final but. while. it is. painfully hot.

important leaks in the city's racing calendar. number seven said what do you think do you like it you get me on a bit of a break until the next race is began an idea. i had an excellent suggestion on how to spend the time. this is rubik's cube an eight year old stallion who was going to be my riot for the morning but had a few lessons on my trips around russia but so far i've only managed to judge a ring trumps get rubik up to a counter. well yes for about thirty seconds and then he decided he'd much rather be doing his own thing. now while it was for all the lost a good boy. here is still a bit of a puzzle to me. i hope at least i have better luck as a spectator and i grabbed the programme and headed back to the track but things
9:44 pm
didn't exactly go my way. come on. come on over it's well. it's a really good start i managed to pick last place a few races in and the victory count was turning into a bit of a personal defeat but then one of my fellow punters gave me a tip. yes. number three. but i lost. and with that so two year old man named diamond stumps had scored me a bull's eye now that turned out alright in the end i got a ride back the winner along even a few rubles to the good. with my blood susan my bank balance spent i decided to quit while i was ahead but the only thing you can write sneering krasnow dumb you're a bit of

a president asked powerboat school he's an eight time russian champion and in charge of getting the next generation to follow in his wake. we have got lots of young sportsmen here and international class boats that can go up to one hundred sixty kilometers an hour. we try to stimulate the children's capacity for work and our members take part in both european and world championships. it seemed like i was in good hands although i did need some more appropriate clothing. more racing season in a wet suit sort of things to come. and once i'd go in my life vest it was time to

take my seat. ok i trust you completely. my life in this very small and snug contraption. with just a gas pedal and no brakes to worry about it did seem pretty easy to draw it and there was at least one quick way to slow down. this little safety line is it tends to be quite helpful to buy pullets. about things go slow and leave it. this. would. come with a quick push from the bank it was over and once you're out of money these things you want to come.
9:49 pm
for you really really said or were you tell yourself because that is incredible who who could be a new drivers have to go through a rather unusual club ritual. but heck. bonewits to finish off the russians edition of the more. i was about to attend crossing the dolls most still strong laden event of the year . it's pretty sad to say that the gym and i have never been back legs plus there are people who can teach their own body weights in a day and lift the equivalent of around five big men and if you can do that maybe you can compete in the us in some some competition.
9:50 pm
and i think. everyone here. is one of the guys in charge of it all. or if you want. us to be. good reason why it was james believe that you one of the founders of some sort of already feel you not me. to founder of this concious if you're at the right place because these are the strongest doesn't present. you get a seat with the owner ok. you know. so the game has been training in some sense jim i'm taking calls and there

are events for almost twenty years and the toughest guys in the south of russia are here to show what they can do. what i am one of the things i love about strong men called to since they get some credit crazy stuff like that i think that's true that's true this let's just way this gentleman is going to. lift up much so yes do you know the weight of the cycle i think it's one hundred feet below one hundred fifty yeah how much do you weigh. you see these began this is fall it just falls over the starts the go for had a fee of forty kilos just me that's why i saw them oh she's going to help this gentleman. you know just be sure to come back and. we want stoners always bolds to muscles for next and if the competitors have a little trouble with the point they could still make up for it in the toughest.

little house and beautiful places for a relaxing stroll. just over half a century ago this area was nothing but gross and maybe the old potato allotments until this man came along. turned it into almost as a beautiful botanical gardens right in the center of president and i'm off to meet an old friend of his. sunna has been a professor at the local university for more than forty years and has literally see in the gardens grow from nothing to what they are today. he says that it's done in a regularly i wouldn't pattern like the english style. but they're all of different heights as you can see and you can find every conceivable form of plants life. in fact there are more than seventy different rare breeds in the gardens and susana

was happy to show me some of her favorites. can you feel it. that's right it smells nice. there around twenty full time staff here but they can always do with one hand and that meant so i got to put my own tiny sapling in the ground. this this little a pool tree is one of more than forty thousand trees that have all been floated by hand and hopefully in a few decades to come out come it'll still be here giving say to the president of the locals. and. unfortunately my time in the city was coming to an end but there was one group of
9:54 pm
local heroes i really wanted to meet. the people here love the combine river which runs right through the president but it can also be a dangerous place there up to five accidents a day on the water during the summer season but that's what class of those river rescue service is here for. oh i was here to see what sort of challenges i face. yes once i changed into my official rescue ranger gear we were ready to head on to the river. and now this is a typical day we're on patrol but you only want to do is go down the cuban river all the way to places where bedding is allowed and most importantly where it's not allowed to. shoot the problem is that there is a very strong current in the kugan river and swimming can be very dangerous. some people try to do it when they're under the influence of alcohol or. teenagers over
9:55 pm
there for instance but as the boat drove past they seem to change their minds pretty quickly. so you guys are they're just hard to put a place for. these two and his colleagues normally patrol the forty kilometer stretch but state the public role playing the use of the river. of course it never hurts to issue a gentle reminder to everyone having a nice time don't go swimming don't go. see and nobody's going swimming pool see how impressed they are with all authority . mind you there were one or two people who did look like they were getting ready to hold themselves it. usually victims. so from being very cautious but things were about to get interesting.
9:56 pm
well everyone's been doing very well behaved out on the river today but for guys who still needs train which means they need a victim. class mustn't. it's a little difficult to do a good impression of a drowning man in a highly buoyant soups but i did try my best and that river was no. no no. it's cold outside. but fortunately i was just washing around for a minute or two before i was free to safety. another soul saved by the close knit. rescue service.
9:57 pm
but definitely recommend the drysuit. most people. i was happy to be out of the ocean but i was genuinely sad to be leaving crescent. outside of moscow and st petersburg is the most modern and well maintained city i've seen in russia and one i think i could genuinely living with you looking at the beautiful books some people call schools in action just genuine call such culture and hospitality house adult sybil.
