state of california see curly for persons pulled over at a traffic stop or taken into custody anything that they're carrying on their person is able to be searched by law enforcement wasn't such a huge issue until mobile devices became popular giving police the ability to search through everything on a person's cell phone or tablet as part of their routine search meaning without a warrant so that means that contacts text messages phone location data. pictures all of it is fair game and it's a troubling trend i discussed with ryan rally of back in january. any time you were arrested by police for any reason which could include ok parking tickets are going to see philip driving the police could take you from a rescue and what you're in custody under arrest behind bars they can spend hours trying to search your phone anything they find can be used to get to court for sure to watch. and now earlier this year the california state supreme court upheld the right of law enforcement to search mobile devices but

a state legislature clearly saw the lack of constitutionality and they decided to do something about it so they passed s.b. nine fourteen a bill that would require police to get a warrant before they go through an arrested person's mobile device despite our plea to governor brown to sign that legislation last sunday brown decided to veto the bill and appease law enforcement instead of siding with privacy and wired reported back in september the governor was leaning that way on s.b. nine fourteen thanks in part to one hundred thousand dollars in efforts by law enforcement lobbyist to encourage him to veto and here's the real kicker to brownsville he says the issue is too complicated for him to make a decision on so he thought it best to leave to the courts which already rules by that he would favor of warrantless searches now for giving for asking but what's too complicated to decide here constitutional protection versus appeasing the cobs governor brown has clearly sided with the cops here and critics already spoken out against brown v those orange hair well known for them advocate so the government should have sided with the legislature and i'm going to bet that civil libertarians

are going to remember this move when ground gears up for reelection but the way i see it governor brown made his stance very clear he's going to side with law enforcement and potential campaign donations over the constitution just like the rest of them. now today the justice department announced that an alleged plot to assassinate the saudi ambassador to the united states would help reported number of a mexican drug cartel had been foiled calling it an international murder for hire scheme u.s. attorney general eric holder said the two accuse our agents of the iranian government at the u.s. would hold iran accountable and in fact the white house state department and treasury department are all involved in a bill of being new measures against iranian government although they haven't specified what those may be the two men are months or are bobsy are fifty six year old u.s. citizen who also holds an iranian passport angle i'm sure a lot already say as a qods force member now holder said the sting operation began in may the president was informed of it in june of this year and the next can government had aided in the months long investigation f.b.i.

plot all right and we have to sit down and consider maybe it wasn't the iranians or as i was for a supposed to have operations that could be actually conducted by other countries who are oak there who may have one can blame the iranians right now so that may be one of the issues i just knew very very carefully or you know clearly the details are still coming out on this because they just broke this news a couple of hours ago today and i think that we're going to find out more as it goes along it could very well be real and it could be great a basis for the terrorist plot but if you think about iran and what their possible intentions might be why would they want to carry out an attack on u.s. soil. the logic seems to be this and this is what we're really hearing out of the u. turn the general's office out of europe is that there is a longstanding animosity between the iranians on one side and so on the other and i think the logic behind this is with so many others being toppled the middle east of course we can talk about libya you can talk about egypt now potentially the idea if

the saudi ambassador to the united states were in some of this might cause instability in saudi arabia but that seems to be the argument but the problem with that one hundred is that it still doesn't really establish how this benefits you grow you see that's the only problem all of these arguments don't really track with what we've seen the iranians have been more than willing to commit various operations around the world and they've actually done this but every time they have done this they have been very calculated and very cold about this but very calculated in terms of why did we get it was for absolutely wrong benefit at this point i'm having a hard time finding that absolute benefit that i've seen in past operations now could you even argue that this might be better mental for iran because on one side you can say that the relationship between the u.s. and saudi arabia since the arab spring has happened as been deteriorating sound like and sell now this might bring the two closer together again. oh i think you're

absolutely right you can go with the former national security adviser who came out just a couple of weeks ago to the u.s. chamber of commerce and talked about how our willingness to drop our support for the president mubarak of egypt and some of this is made this much more difficult for the americans that we reach it with all the rest of our critics including the saudi arabia it's that makes it sort of interesting when you turn around and you look at your wounds oh this could actually make this harder for iraq not easier for iran because not all of a sudden we can have is the closing of the roads between the americans and the saudis and to some degree even the very same this is these great leagues because never all of the sudden you see the iranians as the devil as the absolute infidel if you will if you're a sunni are going to go in that these people deserve to be hit see that's the fear the chatter that i'm hearing around the world right now is what the iranians are

concerned about and others are also concerned about is the potential strike but he's really it's a that seems to be one of the things that they're ok i'm not saying that they're necessarily connected but i am certain there are people out there wondering if there is a connection well now what we're hearing for now is that the state department the justice department the treasury department the white house they're all coming up with some type of response to iran general eric holder is that they we have no idea but i'm giving it's going to take more of the bomb iran war hocks that we know so well that lindsey graham john mccain the john bolton the bill crystal's of the world to come out and say we have to bomb iran right now we've seen john bolton say it before last time when he said that israel only had eight days to do it. yeah. absolutely i think back to cover stations i've had with ambassador bolton about this that i've never even told you the same thing that what it is that the israelis need to do or the americans needed to do was to either replace the leadership of iran or both of them so i'm not shocked if you're going to see

a whole series of groups out there now say you know it's time to take out the iranians you get taking me back to this question of well we didn't get it but it is very nice and so better he's a real concern you know what i think which really important is that what the bureau needs to do what what justice department really needs to do is if these guys in fact are responsible i think about this is a criminal defense attorney who thought i prosecute them but don't prosecute them in some sort of strange came to report the druggies case in one town about i'm talking about prosecuting them in federal courts where you sit down and you have federal rules of evidence and you actually prove these guys did this rather than some strange masquerade what we say well we know we did it with the best country in the world if we're the strongest judicial system in the world and let's stand up and prove it so i'd like to see that happen we'll see if it actually does well so far does look like it's going that way and they are being charged in a federal court now lastly as happy as we all can be if indeed this plot was foiled

what's happening on wall street and my own view is boy i understand how those people feel i believe that mitt romney just indorsed by wall street protesters just days after calling that dangerous class warfare so looks like we have yet another mitt romney flip flop on our hands you know mitt romney is a walking contradiction who changes mind offending on the latest poll numbers from health care to abortion the second amendment education and it's had various opinions on every single one of those subjects and texas governor rick perry tried to make the case in the last raven that romney was a serial flip flopper but unfortunately he kind of blue one. is it the mitt romney that was on the side of against the second amendment before he was for the second amendment was it was before he was before the social programs from the standpoint of he was for stand you know for roe versus wade before he was against verse roe versus wade he was for race to the top

first line is this was a story on fox news and the headline was occupy wall street blasts banking industry apologizes to its own banker and so basically what happened is the protesters they've received donations from people right this is how they buy their food keep the rallies going and everything and so obviously you have to use banks to process your donations at some point the accounts it was frozen and so they thought of this was all a big conspiracy by the banks because they were being scared to occupy wall street movement so they had to freeze the accounts and it turns out i was actually happy they were getting such a high volume of these donations that actually just froze the account and so then they released an apology and like yeah did that make them look stupid in a little bit conspiratorial everything so a bit of the same time fee i'm really bothered by the people who are the total just partisan hacks here that think that this is some kind of in. and the was through pro day every day not saying we don't think we should have big period you know

they're not saying that we can't be using the banks are saying they're unhappy with the amount of influence of the banks the fact of the executives at the banks are the ones that committed so many of the crimes that brought our economy down and never were held accountable for it and so i just kind of resent this type of twisting is that they're not allowed to use banks anymore because they're occupying wall street i don't know if you want to be here's. what i mean to be like somebody you know fighting against government getting a parking ticket and i mean like. me being poor going to anybody party couldn't you know can't use anything of the government might ever provide yeah so today there was actually a new example of this was a picture of a guy like and corporate evilness and he was holding. coke like a coca-cola and everyone's like oh my god she's supporting coca-cola while being against corporations catch ya know actually what you want to all like to live on a farm somewhere and not have any products of any type because the corporations are taking advantage of us that's not feasible we need to figure out a way to regulate them not be naked without food well that is the problem do you
