was a peaceful demonstration several thousand protesters have marched here when we came here down to a forty six street we were essentially blocked off by the n.y.p.d. corralled in an area moved weren't able to move for several hours i saw several protesters arrested reportedly by the police department there was approximately seventy arrests three of them i witnessed right here on forty seven forty six and seven to protestors and sitting down peacefully the police had to handcuff them slam them to the ground and their faces in the ground they were not moving not really resisting arrest so it's confusing why the actions were so severe so tough. the standoff between protesters and police got extremely tense when the police officers doubled up the barricades we were prevented from moving left or right we couldn't go up or down we couldn't meet up with the bigger march with there's actually taking place on forty second street but the police again extremely tense

well. and it seems that gas deal drummer's all over the news are the moments later in our program we find out what e.u. regulators were looking for when they raided the european offices of russian energy giant gazprom. the first moves towards reform that started in syria where a new constitution is being drafted following months of anti-government protests the draft is due to be complete within four months present of the service call for multi-party elections in february the monster protest has been in the streets since march this week tens of thousands of assad's supporters have been cheering in support of the government in the syrian capital young rest is claimed over three thousand lives with the u.n. warning that the country might be heading for a full blown civil war syria spoke to people from both sides and some distance from . voices of support

yet and continuing dissent some and in deadly clashes polar opposites in their demands but in some way united by the newfound zeal to take a stand for here the fact that the syrian capital our lives have gathered at show their support for the government that is going is a far cry from the images we've been seeing in other cities around the country where there have been reported righteously security forces evidently government protests additional however what i think it's a real matter where in this country the way they called the forces have tried to tell me that was you know very basic you let's not be. allowed her husband and young children one of many families who braved the heat enjoy the crowds in downtown damascus. it's true that we knew nothing about politics before but now we take a stand even if i'm a sunni muslim i'm pro this president. ever since most people started revealing their political stance openly some people would
