mr. our guys it's time for show and talents and program last time we told you about rick perry's brand new economic plan to give people an option to pay a flat tax rate of twenty percent but we want to know is a flat tax a good idea for the u.s. it's going to produce or for trees in a century to find out you have to say. presidential candidates are always looking for ways to promise voters lower taxes and rick perry well he's no exception and if he had it his way you will have your choice of paying under the current tax code or paying a flat tax of twenty percent easier not quite cheap or oh maybe for some so it's

a lot of tax really a good idea for america whatever political said a lot of times is a good idea for the one percent the only ones in this country who apparently not are is he told us he likes the basic idea behind a flat tax but allowing us to choose what our taxes are paying for it may be a better idea cast said no because the top one percent should pay more and not just leave the burden on the rest of the u.s. robert bennett well you agree he said that tax reform is needed but increases that should fall on the wealthiest corporations but the majority who rode in seem to agree that some type of form is needed look over here perry's plan would just add another layer on an already complicated system reduces taxes for high income earners it's just not going to cut it. as always we appreciate your responses and here's our next question for you at home during the show we spoke about the violence at occupy oakland this week including police firing off a tear gas canister which left an iraq veteran critically wounded but yesterday

after people expressed their outrage at the man situation thousands came out on the streets the police backed down let us know you think do you think of this week represents a turning point for the occupy movement you can respond to us on facebook twitter and you. and you know as a response just find me down here. what appears that hackers have or had a new target u.s. satellites say according to bloomberg news hackers have interfered with two u.s. satellites four times in recent years the lancet seven earth and terra am one were both targeted and both are used to observe the earth's climate a rate of lance that seven earth observation satellite system was interfered with and october of two thousand and seven and july two thousand and eight for more than twelve minutes and the terror am one side light experience the same issue for two minutes in june two thousand and eight and nine minutes in october of two thousand and eight a question is who took control of the satellites well according to bloomberg report due out next month by the economic and security review commission it's going to come very close to pointing

a finger at china the report is going to claim that methods used to have a satellites are an instant of methods the chinese have used before but the usual they won't outright accuse beijing of doing any wrong and the report says the people behind the hacking likely used an internet connection at a satellite station in spitsbergen norway to gain access to the ground stations information systems and once in they took control of the satellites but thankfully they didn't do anything once they were there but you can bet that the incidents set off red flags here in washington these two incidents raise some serious questions for us government and their satellite security considering that the u.s. uses satellites for everything including military operations so yeah i take down of u.s. satellites would be a really scary thing and something the government should probably be working hard to protect themselves from but perhaps this news it should be receiving more attention than say the bolton released by the top part of homeland security last week warning that anonymous may be interested in crippling critical infrastructure and of course the mainstream media rushed report of a possible dangers of the hacktivist pose yet this. anonymous has targeted social

injustice greed and wrongdoing by law enforcement here in the u.s. including going after wall street corruption. st four years ago you saw that the country was pushed from you soon that it was right for the taking and so you did you shouted the country and you connected the fragmented pieces to mine your pockets we stand united and strong for years tonight we stand before you know it for your slow train did you think that the people who could not come to know what you had done. all right so that's not about us satellites have attacked that not about us infrastructure hasn't happened yet either so the news that u.s. satellites have been hacked in recent years the a thinker p.h.s. the other agencies shouldn't pay attention to those threats not maybe going after anonymous call priorities something at the h.s. and the security seem to be lacking a little bit. now while average americans may be suffering and unable to find work

in this economy the defense industry giants are making a killing here's how much some of the largest companies raked in in the third quarter of two thousand and eleven lockheed martin seven hundred million dollars boeing one point nine billion dollars and general dynamics six hundred and fifty two million but with a congressional supercommittee stuck in gridlock and the prospects of a trigger of facts coming closer to reality are starting to hear some cries of despair take for example a report out this week i'll be half of the aerospace industries association the report states that if the fence cuts reach a trillion dollars one million jobs will be lost and not just that but it would quote devastate the economy and defense industrial base and undermine the national security of our country sounds like they've been spending some time for defense secretary leon panetta who called the trigger effect a doomsday mechanism but let's say the trigger does happen is that report anywhere near the truth or discusses lawrence korb senior fellow at the center for american

progress or and thanks so much for being here tonight nice to be with you what you say i mean is this report on one hand if a trillion dollars were to be cut from defense yes that's a lot of money but the people that commissioned this report the aerospace industry it's also in their best interest to try and play up exactly how dramatic this would be so you know are they going a little overboard here who million jobs lost very very definitely because it depends a lot of. the other words when you say your defense budget what are you going to cook with that for exposure for example those who have just production of new weapons you will you have people you have training. for example who report with and spends fifteen billion dollars a year. you know on the oil supply so that's where virtually the first place the other is if you did this whole thing you had. to push the culture already been there and you'd be back to two thousand and seven levels in real terms so i don't remember the call to be inducted a bit of a shape proctors. good two thousand and seven the other thing it misses is if you

don't cut defense what do you call are you going to raise taxes more are you going to say infrastructure spending one thing we know for a fact for every dollar the federal government spends the least effective way to true create jobs and stuff it's much more you get many more jobs with education for example what's that how come when it comes to the conversations that are going on the rhetoric right because we clearly have a republican majority right now who doesn't like governments and government anything is that they say the government can't create any jobs but apparently when it comes to government spending on the military they do see it as a job creator and it's just not as evil i mean how do you try to do things that are alive worthy you know only because they're being inconsistent because that they say government spend government can't create jobs it's the private sector put in defense you know it doesn't count they'll use anything they can to keep the sporgery from going back to where it should be obvious to the aerospace industries

association as you pointed out they're making a lot of money now and talk about the fact that over the last decade the profits of skyrocket that's a good friend sports has gone up in real terms we're spending more in defense and you control for inflation that any time since the end of world war two i mean and you know cause i was a huge war so it's historically high they're desperate because they know the hugo happy days are over again here and so they're using every yard because they feel well even if we can't justify the military turns people or concerned about jobs they would play that card but it also sounds like they're being a little greedy right i mean isn't necessarily that a million people are going to have to lose their jobs or is it that perhaps northrop grumman and boeing are not going to name you know hundreds of millions of dollars less in the. money you keep teachers on the payroll that would be a much bigger impact on the economy right now i'm also wondering you know this is something that the baker. right about the other day and he was talking about his

military spending ferry and the way that people believe in it and so what if the president were to change some of his style i'd go the republican route and say that we need more spending on education because it's for the defense of our country that we need more spending on infrastructure because it's for the defense of our country many of our spending you know student loans whatever you want to call it call everything defense whatever it is they go there are going to talk about the fact that so i said how it got pretty high which is sort of it is caused you to state highway system part of it but it's called national defense highway system or you have to use the soviet union launched but that we should be we've got to get our kids with science and technology so you have federal a higher education so that's one where you can cause to divide because republicans even though they don't like government local friends who democrats like government more so if you say well this was for a good friend so they both could agree on it when i worked for a government i used to get called by the state legislature to go down and say you need to keep education go because it's good for the actual security we need smart

people in the world terry we need them you know to go into the plants so that's an argument that people use as long as you understand what it is that's one thing but in reality it's not corrupt. defense or you know continue defense spending should it should the economy ever be an argument that you know you should raise it on his performance is talking about that word that we're all going to be vulnerable to a terrorist attacks from the outside world it just says the the economy is going to go through i mean basically you want to see what the threats are or what will you want to play in the world and that's what you should decide you know person or eisenhower was be turning over in his grave when he hears all this because when he was that all those people hyped the soviet threat to try and increase the threat strategy and that's where he called it the military industrial complex and that's exactly what you're seeing now and they're playing on the fact that people are afraid with the unemployment numbers you know it's not so hard and i want to also bring something else up to you and this is. thing that spencer ackerman noted from

the center for a new american security report and talking about this idea that perhaps building these massive weapons systems doing so much of the manufacturing here it's a dying art in america and you think about it's also true and something that the defense industry needs to take into account that all these days we build you know thirty five joint strike fighters that are being built by many countries are you concerned the manufacturing jobs overseas to china because young people these days are starting to go to google and facebook instead of necessarily going into aerospace world there's no doubt about that that the best of the bride was still a week before the streets also the fact that the financial industry was gold. even if it's colder and colder an american car proctor getting porch war with the world pork a couple of years ago congress tried to stop that and you have a straight industry association of wildly against it. all right so what do you think is going to happen here is that the super committee is in gridlock right now they can decide on a thing maybe three trillion dollars in cuts they agree on but then no new taxes it

fell apart do you think that it's going to get to the point where this trigger in fact actually happens i know i don't you know i don't think you're playing so i think if they will call them up to work agreement about how about your corporate facts my guess is that over the next ten years they want to cut about five hundred billion total counting the three fifty billion already the agreement is based on whether or not they are going to raise taxes well well that's that's correct but i guess i think in terms of the french be about what it all is said the dog will be about a five hundred billion dollars cost or thirty billion dollars a year old with the next thirty years so when it's all said and they're going to make sure to find a way to come up with a compromise that they don't fall a trillion dollars in fact doesn't the purpose of it to scare people into supporting you know you know more talks and of course now they're trying to scare florida thanks so much for being on t.v. with you. guys time for a quick break and we return to look at a governor who wants guns allowed in the capitol building but no photography that

face quite hard the argument that they're being overly dramatic. i did sign a fix i thought i'd award and tonight it goes to wisconsin governor scott walker since taking office this year walker has been on a mission to impose his right when you join the entire state he and fellow republican lawmakers pushed a bill through earlier this year that ended collective bargaining rights for public employees and of course that set off a huge protest of the state capitol in madison and for weeks thousands of poured into the capitol building to voice their displeasure with walker and lawmakers now at the height of the protests scott walker took a phone call from a person claiming to be one of the ultra conservative koch brothers turns out it

was a prank. but we were thinking about the crowds was. planting some troublemakers. would be or would probably thought of going. after the anti-union bill passed democrats in the state went after walker and his republican friends five state senators are recalled and just this month them across began a recall effort against scott walker himself so it will show that was the polls show that wisconsin voters are split in the idea of recalling him but one thing is kind of clear he doesn't seem to be liked very much in his state the poll numbers are horrible and a public events he often gets heckled. ouch

sorry but let's fast forward to this week next tuesday was constance new concealed weapons law goes into effect but there's still the issue of allowing guns in the state capitol so media across the state began reporting today that scott walker's office will release its policy on concealed weapons tomorrow that is being reported that he's going to give his blessing for residents to papeete the capitol building now according to the milwaukee journal sentinel under the new policy the public will be allowed to carry concealed weapons in the assembly viewing galleries but existing rules barring the use of still and video camera would not be changed i mean really you can have guns but over target be the state capitol these are the moments the absolute just cracks me up i mean gun advocates clearly feel very passionate about being allowed to have their weapons because it's written in the constitution the most sacred document of the country but guess what freedom of speech is in there too and no photos in the state capital of kind of part of that amendment so scott walker is our endorsing a policy where your second amendment rights are more important a state capital than your first so next time scott save me the i'm

right let's move. but there are so many possibilities here that i do like you know talking about it there is a massive turf war that's broken out in northern california at santa cruz to be exact where i went to college over starbucks take a look. two california motorcycle gangs are fighting what's being called the worst biker feud in years in years this is a turf war and it all started when the wagner goes tried to muscle in on the hells angels hang out that being a starbucks. this story actually has some very sad elements like they're saying that this is the biggest. this is like the biggest eruption in the past ten years between these two quite gangs at the moment the growing toll of casualties includes almost a dozen dead or wounded so they're getting this is all you guys are looks just like in general there's a war you know in general the two gangs obviously feel like brother and so it's

a war over who gets to hang out at this starbucks in santa cruz which let me just make one point and i'll let you guys go off of this i find so bizarre because santa cruz is a really small hip detail and it's like everyone goes to local coffee shops of all places why. maybe they're bikers this is their way of being different i rose to the local if you go to therapy you. will see that they have. ok but here's my this is the most disappointing part of this whole story i mean i'm very sad for all the people better diet etc etc but i thought bikers hung out of bars and they were like tom but the starbucks my uncle hangs out at starbucks every day let me actually give you a quote from the deputy police chief who said only in santa cruz it was you have biker wars over who's going to control can spice lattes which really just makes the biker gang see all that much more lame like i said why why starbucks of all places and i don't honestly know not really wasn't paying attention were played the clip
