i'm lauren lyster. are you guys it's time for show and tell us night's program the last time we told you about rick perry's brand new economic plan to give people an option to pay a flat tax rate of twenty percent and we want to know is a flat tax a good idea for the us has got a producer for treason essentially to find out what you have to say. presidential candidates are always looking for ways a promise voters lower taxes and rick perry well he's no exception if he had it his way you will have your choice of paying under the current tax code or paying a flat tax of twenty percent easier not quite cheap or both maybe for some so it's a wide tax really a good idea for america political said. is

a minister of methods the chinese have used before but very usual they won't outright accuse beijing of doing any wrong now the report says the people behind the hacking likely used an internet connection and a satellite station in spitsbergen norway to gain access to the ground stations information systems and once when they took control of the satellites but thankfully they didn't do anything else they were there but you can bet that the incident set off red flags here in washington these two incidents raise some serious questions for the u.s. government and our satellite security considering that the u.s. uses satellites for everything including military operations so yeah it takes out of u.s. satellites would be a really scary thing and something of the government should probably be working hard to protect themselves but perhaps this news it should be receiving more attention than say the bolton released by the homeland security last week warning that anonymous may be interested in crippling critical infrastructure of course the mainstream media rushed report of a possible dangers of the hacktivist pose yet this. anonymous has targeted social injustice greed and wrongdoing by law enforcement here in the u.s.

a trillion dollars were to be cut from defense yes that's a lot of money but the people that commissioned this report the aerospace industry it's also in their best interest to try and play out exactly how dramatic this would be so you know are they going a little overboard hero million jobs lost very very definitely because he posed a lot of. the other words for you so you called it the principle of your what are you going to cook it for and support you for example doesn't have just production new weapons you will you have people you have training. for example who profited from and spends fifteen billion dollars a year just by you know i'll go oil supplies so that support for the first place the other is if you do this whole thing you have she question should push the costs already been there you go back to two thousand and seven levels in real terms so i don't remember the call to be in shape because there. good two thousand and seven the other thing is this is if you don't cut defense what do you call are you going

to raise taxes more are you going to call it say infrastructure spending one thing we know for a fact for every dollar the federal government spends the least effective way to do to create jobs and defense not what you get many more jobs with education for example let's say that how come when it comes to you are the conversations that are going on the rhetoric right because we clearly have a republican majority right now who doesn't like government anything government anything is that they say the government can't create any jobs but apparently when it comes to government spending on the military they do see it as a job creator and it's just not as evil i mean how do you plan to change that to live where the you know you know basically they're being inconsistent because they say government spend government can't create jobs in the private sector but in defense and you know it doesn't count bill use anything they can to keep offense but if you're going to we're obviously the aerospace industries association as you pointed out they're making a lot of money now and talk about the fact that over the last decade they have

profits of skyrocket i said before and support it has gone up in real terms we're spending more on defense you control for play shit than any time since the end of world war two i mean you know course it was a huge war so it's historically high they're desperate because they know that the you know happy days are over again here and so they're using every yard because they feel well even if we can't just afford a military terms people are concerned about jobs so we'll play that card but it also sounds like they're being a little greedy right i mean isn't necessarily that a million people are going to have to lose their jobs or is it that perhaps northrop grumman and boeing are going are going to say you know hundreds of millions of dollars less if we cut that money and keep teachers on the payroll that would be much bigger impact on the economy right now i'm also wondering you know this is something that the baker. right about the other day he was talking about this military spending ferry and the way that people believe in it and so we're

here for the president to change some of his dialogue to other republicans around and say that we need more spending on education because it's for the defense of our country that we need more spending on infrastructure because it's for the defense of our country we need more spending. on student loans whatever you want to call it call everything defense but if i were in these days i don't know there are going to talk about the fact that so i said how we got the highway system it was caused your state highway system part of it called the national defense five way system or you have to the soviet union was sputnik we said gee we've got to get our kids into science and technology so you have federally to higher education see that's one where you can cost of the y. because republicans even though they don't quite like government like the feds the democrats like government more so if you say well this is we're good friends they both could agree on it when i worked with government i used to get called by state legislatures or go down and say you need to keep education go because it's good for the actual security we need more people in the military we need to you know it's

going to defense so that's an argument that people use as long as you understand what it is that's one thing but in reality it's not a correct. defense ever be or continue defense spending should it should be economy ever be an argument that you know you should raise your eyes performance is talking about that we're there we're all going to be vulnerable if there were terrorist attacks in the outside world it just says the economy's going to go to three i mean basically you want to see what the threats all you want to play in the world and that's what you should decide if you don't personalize it how it must be turning over in his grave what he hears all this because when he was and all those people the soviet threat to try and increase defense spending that's really called the global turn of industrial complex and that's exactly what you see now and they are playing on the fact that people are afraid with the unemployment numbers you know stocks. now i want to also bring something else up to you and this is. thing that spencer ackerman noted from the center for a new american security report and talking about this idea that perhaps building

these massive weapons systems doing so much of the manufacturing here it's a dying art in america these think about also true and something that the defense industry needs to take into account that all these days we build you know f. thirty five joint strike fighters that are being built by many countries are you can send the manufacturing jobs overseas to china because young people these days are starting to go to google and facebook instead of necessarily going into aerospace world there's no doubt about that so our best to look right historical week with the floods of the streets also the fact that the cold war today even if it's colder and colder an american car truck you're getting ports from all over the world park a couple of years ago congress tried to stop that it would behoove spirit industries association lobbied against it. all right so what do you think is going to happen here is that the super committee is in gridlock right now they can't decide on a thing maybe three trillion dollars in cuts they have agreed on but then no new taxes it fell apart do you think that it's going to get to the point where this

some troublemakers. and they're all good well you're were probably thought of. after the anti-union bill passed democrats in the speech went after walker and his republican friends five state senators were recalled and just this month them across began a recall effort against walker himself so false show that the polls show that wisconsin voters are split on the idea of recalling him but one thing is kind of clear he doesn't seem to be light very much in his state the poll numbers are horrible and a public events he often gets heckled. ouch our bullets bounce board this week next tuesday was constance new concealed weapons

law goes into effect but there's still the issue of allowing guns in the state capitol so media across the state began reporting today that scott walker's office will really think its policy on concealed weapons tomorrow but it's being reported that he's going to give his glassing her residence to pack in the capitol building now corey to milwaukee journal sentinel under the new policy the public would be allowed to carry concealed weapons in the assembly viewing galleries but existing rules barring the use of still and video camera would not be changed i mean really you can have guns but over talk or feed the state capitol these are the moments the absolute just cracks me up i mean gun advocates clearly feel very passionate about being allowed to have their weapons because it's written in the constitution the most sacred document of the country but guess what freedom of speech is in there too and no photos in the state capital now find a part of that amendment so scott walker's our endorsing a policy where your second amendment rights are more important in the state capitol than your first so next time scott save me the i'm a constitutional conservative it will you clearly that's not the case like many

talking about it there is a massive turf war that's broken out in northern california santa cruz to be exact where i went to college over starbucks take a look. two california motorcycle gangs are fighting what's being called the worst biker few years in years this is a turf war and it all started when the volga nose tried to muscle in on the hells angels hang out that being a starbucks. now this story actually has some very sad elements like they're saying that this is the biggest. this is like the biggest eruption in the past ten years between these two by gangs at the moment the growing toll of casualties includes almost a dozen dead or wounded so they're getting this is all you guys are looks are just like in general there's a war well you know in general the two gangs obviously feel like brother and so it's a war over who gets to hang out at this starbucks in santa cruz which let me just

make one point and let you guys go off of this i find so bizarre because santa cruz is a really small hippie town and it's like everyone goes to the local coffee shops of all places why. maybe they're bikers this is their way of being different. if you go to therapy. they have. ok but here's my this is the most disappointing part of this whole story i mean i'm very sad for all the people that are. better but i thought bikers hung out of bars and they were like. but the starbucks my uncle hangs out at starbucks every day let me actually give you a quote from the deputy police chief who said only in santa cruz would you have biker wars over who's going to control of concise last days which really just makes the biker gang see. more lame like i said again why why starbucks of all places and i do not on this no not really wasn't paying attention when we played the clip that nothing. hears on our air you know.
