in the obama administration has been doing wall street's favors as much as the republican party and this is a very very right party and i have to add to wrap it up because i've got to get a break i want to thank you for joining us tonight thanks very much all right i'll be right back. to the police corruption in. a protester who nobody seems to know. that never a pepper sprayed the face but hardly argument that they're being overly dramatic. you know sometimes you see a story and it seems so you think you understand it and then you know if you're see

to the. floor and mr. guys it's time for showing talent tonight's program and last thursday we told you the judge ruled in favor of mayor bloomberg the vixen of protesters from the comedy part you know president really saying a city reserves the right to prevent from a greater. but in a big can in the name of public safety a reasonable limit to the first amendment it's got a pretty simple truth to find out what you have to say. late monday. new york city mayor michael bloomberg sent the order to evict occupy wall street protesters from
6:33 pm
zuccotti park and protesters had short notice before the n.y.p.d. moved in around one am and evicted the occupiers taking down tents dismantling the library and arresting at least seventy people new york supreme court justice michael stone and then back mary bloomberg and outlawed lying down on the ground or on benches placement tarts or sleeping bags storing or placing anything on the ground benches or sitting areas or even walkway ruling that even protected speech is not equally permissible in all places at all times so is the city using public safety as excuse opposed to protesters out violating their rights of free speech we asked our viewers some of you thought that the first amendment had nothing to do with it like safeway who said to prevent people from pinching times on someone else's property is not a restriction of the first amendment the first amendment has nothing to do it pitching tents now charged thought the same way they aren't saying that they can't protest there they just can't camp out there which is reasonable but some of you
6:34 pm
saw it in another way and had some strong words in response like a seller who wrote the ruling is a perversion of the law both claiming to protect his victims the public crystal green eyes how can free speech even exist if it's limited now protesters are back in the park but to taking down the transportation occupiers from exercising their first amendment rights you know you could say yes but if anything the marches today in new york city prove it's going to take a lot more than a big ship to silence occupy wall street. now as always we appreciate your responses and here's our next question for you please at national day of action marks the two month anniversary of the occupy wall street movement as thousands marched across the country there's been a force of massive grass police beatings the use of al rad and pepper spray to small the movement so you think the police or the protesters when you get a lot of snow you think you can respond on facebook twitter and you tube and those responses just might make you know. yesterday we brought you the details of the

stop online piracy act also known as the house of representatives even worse version of the protect ip act it's a bill that our am the m.p.a. have been dreaming about for years the most comprehensive anti-piracy legislation to be voted on by the house of representatives but as i told you yesterday there are a few little problems with this legislation which goes even further than the protect ip act so like protect ip would allow the attorney general to create a blacklist of websites that they see as an ageing infringing activities he blocked by us search engines payment providers and networks all the out of court hearing or a trial that would also hold internet service providers liable for all sites deemed as infringers in criminalize the streaming of copyrighted material so this bill was surprisingly or not surprisingly excuse me was met with very strong opposition from all sides showing that some people in this world are still sane google facebook linked in a.o.l. yahoo even a muzzle of the a.c.l.u. are just a few of the groups of all lined up against legislation but now looks like the
6:36 pm
fragile coalition of the n.p.a. a bill to support it is breaking apart at the seams as people in washington are finally starting to understand what the enforcement of this bill would really look like in the last twenty four hours everybody from michele bachmann and there i saw the former speaker nancy pelosi have injected themselves into the sofa debate and said hello c tweeted today we need to find a better solution so don't break the internet but perhaps the largest blow to the legislation is chance of passing its chief sponsor and champion expressed doubts yesterday about the bill wires reporting the house judiciary committee chairman presented lamar smith a republican from texas expressed concern with allowing the d.o.j. to get orders to force i s p's to prevent users from visiting blacklisted sites meeting that they would have to alter records in the internet system or looking up a website which is known as the domain name system experts say that tampering with d.n. . this would break the internet's universal character thus breaking the internet as
6:37 pm
we know it today now smith who originally proudly championed legislation saying that it was all important because rogue web sites of steal and sell american innovations have operated with impunity he's since changed his tune so you're hearing look i'm not a technical expert on this i'm trying to figure this out so well i'm happy that smith is finally expressing doubts about this horrible bill minus i'm just a little something for him you don't need him for future bills that he plans to support maybe you should educate yourself about what's written in the bills that you're champing before you put your name on them that's just a thought. and the obama administration released a statement this afternoon threatening to veto the upcoming defend the fence authorization bill over a provision that would drastically change the tense and policies perspective terrorists here in the u.s. on tuesday the senate armed services committee discussed the new language that would mandate the automatic indefinite military detention of non-citizens acra handed in the united states that are suspected members of al qaeda or associated groups or here's some of the details would require terrorist suspects to be held by
6:38 pm
the military not civilian law enforcement we should also note the section against the military holding u.s. citizens or lawful residents would be removed making the laws in very vague ultimately meeting that perhaps anybody can be held as a detainee even american citizens the provision would stop any transfer of get the detainees from gitmo basically extending what congress has already put into place and it gives the government the power to hold any al qaeda suspects indefinitely without trial as of now under the current obama executive order the government only has the power to hold get most detainees indefinitely but it seems like that apparently isn't enough for congress now this provision introduced by senators carl levin and john mccain is met with a lot of criticism when it comes to the president's veto threats how much credibility as they have on this subject any more or discuss this with me is colonel morris davis executive director and counsel for the crimes of war education project and former chief process. military commissions at guantanamo bay thanks so much for being here tonight my pleasure let's start off with this legislation that
6:39 pm
is working its way through congress if not if you think this is this is dangerous it's a bad idea a group of senators leahy and feinstein that this is compromising our national security is just a bad idea but it just seems odd you know we already have a bit of a problem you could say when it comes to the over militarization of our police forces and here we're in fact would be taking the power away from law enforcement away from our regular court system and having the military in charge of detainees do we really need them on our own soil we don't know if you recall in the bush administration the republicans the conservatives said the president in times of war needed the maximum flexibility and now they're trying to handcuff president obama so it's really it's disappointing to see congress with a sword so is that why president obama is threatening to veto the legislation not because he thinks that this is going to be damaging to civil liberties or our counterterrorism strategies but because his power is going to take it away i don't
6:40 pm
know i mean he certainly is embrace the bush administration policies that he campaigned against that is actually advance or you know killing americans with ground strikes in yemen for instance but his veto threat is like me when i was a kid telling my mother i was going to hold my breath till i got my way i believe easily to two bills in his entire ten years between had to bet on health freezing over and president obama vetoing the bill i'm not sure which way. you have some choice words for president obama in fact recently you said that there is a pair of testicles somewhere between the capitol building in the white house that fell off the president after election day of two thousand and eight it was good to see that his balls about go somewhere between the capitol in the white house they clearly felt off from the campaign saying all the right things and took office and embraced the bush call it also use and has never looked back so it's been a real disappointment how do you think the president and i think this is a question that many people often ask do you think we have heard. really meant it was he lying the whole time he was campaigning or once you get into office once you
6:41 pm
become the president and you start finding out all that classified information do you change your mind you change your mind you used to support military commissions and i think the minute i think in his heart of hearts he knows the right answer i think with president bush you could almost say well he didn't know what president obama knows but what he doesn't have is the backbone to lead on this issue and we have health care reform the economy and the other things that became a priority but you nobody is going to get elected or reelected in two thousand and twelve saying stood up for the rights of the communities that want to own a million but at the same time americans americans care about the economy americans care about their jobs they care about the foreclosure crisis across the country i feel like one time of day is the last thing on their mind it is there's there's a lot more concern about the tragic demise of kim kardashian seventy two day marriage and there's about one hundred seventy two million to spend up to a decade in confinement it is ninety nine percent of americans just don't care but so then why would that be an effective strategy for republicans to use against president obama in the next election if those are their top priorities i mean these
6:42 pm
killed osama bin laden he's killed an american in yemen he's kept one time in the open is revive the military commissions but he could never be strong enough for me as he looks at the republican side if you look at the candidates that are running for office you can't be done in a week you can't be hateful enough so you can have a choice between dumb and hateful or just a lack of backbone on the on the left did he opened up the door for that you know at this latest presidential debate which focused on foreign policy we saw a majority of all the kind of society from jon huntsman and from ron paul say that they support waterboarding on that page don't believe that waterboarding is torture and that they support torture how president obama actually gone after people you know tried to work within the system and apprehend those who tortured those who ordered torture and you could say at the very highest ranks would this even be a part of the discussion it was interesting you were a party to the convention against torture this. there's an affirmative duty to investigate and prosecute you've had president obama you had john mccain you had
6:43 pm
various officials from both parties and judges that have said we torture and we're ignoring our responsibilities so we're very hypocritical when it comes to human rights and humanitarian law we would love to look to ran into libya and russia and other countries and then we don't live up to our own example do you think that things can change because i as i said president obama hasn't done anything about it doesn't seem like the republican candidates out there that want to be president of it are going to do anything about it because they support these policies but if there is another contender at some point my americans get back to you know the place where they felt like torture is wrong or has it just gone too far or i mean courage with this occupy wall street movement were people were finally said enough to know when it comes to the economy and the haves getting all and the rest getting nothing so i'm hoping at some point will have that same feeling about human rights and humanitarian law because for two hundred years a lot was our story for the last decade we did it as a weakness and those aren't american ideals or american values and
6:44 pm
a lot of that same thing goes for a new unity at the top right our former president george w. bush and foreign vice president dick cheney who have admitted that they ordered waterboarding and yet you know absolutely no justice in that sense thank you so much for joining us tonight. well up next on tonight's show sconces governor scott walker is using the state legislature special session to further his own agenda so to have the tails on that are cool time segments and happy hour event on ads are making a few people really angry like the pope and herman cain attempts to learn you but we're going to explain how when we come back. to the police the wreckage. but what a fantastic nobody seems to know. that never ever

unpopular governors in the u.s. the ever since wisconsin's scott walker took office he's caused nothing but trouble for the state on his watch unemployment in the state has gone up from seven point one percent to seven point eight percent he gave the national spotlight when he made his first act in office stripping a public sector workers of their collective bargaining rights and next item on the agenda threatening it to lay off teachers firefighters and other government workers were governor walker claims that he's still working hard to try and fix the economy he even called a jobs special session called that to work with constant we're calling back to work with the special session to put the focus firmly were you to believe beyond that some jobs. wow well that definitely sounds like a step in the right direction so keeping with his goal of making sure the legislature is laser focused on jobs he's now pushing for abstinence only education that's right walker and several other state republicans are working on removing the
6:48 pm
year old healthy youth healthy youth act which allow schools to teach the proper use of contraceptives inform students about puberty pregnancy body image and gender stereotypes so walker and his clan of conservatives want to throw out legitimate sex education classes and replace them with abstinence only education part of which would require teachers to quote identify the skills necessary to remain abstinent which really got us wondering what are the special skills that one can require to remain sexless well now we haven't been able to locate what exactly these magical skills are so we've thought of a few of our own to pass on to the teachers who can pass not to high school students and sure they will never have sex tip number one try taking elvish as your four legged. space bar far away from the romance languages stick to whispering sweet nothings to your seatmate and the true language of love that of the else or simply dedicate a massive amount of time to mastering dungeons and dragons really dig that thirty

sided die and definitely make sure to take it the next level by getting involved with a live action role play now if none of those work then i strongly suggest taking up the tuba marching bands are really easy way to pick up chicks so governor walker if you're listening just hand that list right over your future as i'm sure that whole teenage sex problem will be solved overnight who did sex education we have d.n.d. we are obviously we're kidding but seriously i find i really pathetic the gov walker is using the special session on jobs to push abstinence only education isn't about jobs is about buying progress you can't just keep kids in the dark about sex and about safe sex practices for sex out condoms because if you do they guess what they're going to have sex anyway and they're not going to be safe about it abstinence only education is a completely unrealistic and detrimental way to approach the real world and as kate sheppard mother jones pointed out today walker has a history of being staunchly pro-life and his latest move it's right in with the agenda a radical pro-life groups to support him pro-life wisconsin lists ending the quote
6:50 pm
sexualization of our children as its top goal for the year so scott walker is doing their bidding rather than admitting to the citizens of a state by getting the economy back on track so for completely ignoring the goal of job creation and instead pushing some ridiculous abstinence only sex education bill walker here tonight still time winner. hi guys time for happy hour and joining me this evening as our correspondent christine for sal and ned it's money hard on the hill reporter for roll call platys thanks for joining me so yesterday we showed a few new ads from benetton out there that were supposed to be controversial showed world leaders to seeing you had obama and chavez make a now but then we found out that apparently there was another one they got pulled.
6:51 pm
the controversial sake's was supposed kissing in egypt has been withdrawn by benetton the vatican objects to choosing images policy of the closing companies hate campaign. i come on vatican really you can't have a little bit of fun no. i mean your leaders aren't complaining that the vatican has to complain about very reason they're not complete they are complaining is not because he's kissing any mom i don't think i think it has more to do with. gay people they know nothing wrong. and i knew. that if i'm not always told riyad as soon as someone gets upset about it so first i was impressed that at a time had campaign again they've been kind of out of controversial the remember before i mean they always were pushing the yes they have a devil you know ad campaign they had but i think it was yeah i love their ads and i think it's great that they're doing it i just i wish their clothes were better
6:52 pm
sales. but it's really i don't even think i've ever been shocked that it was the stuff you. can't get it out and you know like i know them more for their ads than i do you know for their clothes which i don't know if that's good or bad here's my thing if you're going to put this out there and clearly you poke any mob that are to two men you know for a reason and then stand by it why would you i'm larry i think stand by and yeah but our lives have all been told what to do by a. being that having never been yelled out i hope. i can take it. all right let's move back to herman cain who as you know before we called michele bachmann the gift that just keeps on giving she kept saying just this it is and it just made it so much fun for us that you're happy hour and now it's herman cain for his you back you think is down to not knowing what libya is to this little gem right here. i don't believe. so that's
6:53 pm
i'm trying to reach out to the bad community or the cuban community get their vote and he says how do you see delicious and cuban you know what a lot of people found this funny i found this very very disturbing this is not an election for high school president where the you know the candidate the senior in high school goes out and promises three peat on friday which i just come to think about how many could actually do that in fact is that he is running to be the leader one of the main leaders of the free world it matters what other countries think of the leader of this country there is i want to thank you he is so high in the polls and says how do you say delicious in cuban i mean doesn't know what libya is doesn't know what so many things are and this is a little success how does that reflect on the people that are voting for him and these polls i mean because guys like i don't need to know foreign policy my commanders are for that forgetting that he's going to be the commander actually a lot of the people that vote for him live in parts of this country that don't care what goes on outside of the country and don't realize that it's important to care
6:54 pm
well i mean i think. a lot of i would imagine most of. the pro troops like have sort of stake in what's happening in terms of foreign affairs when it comes to war and u.s. foreign policy and not found but the fact. cain has somehow channeled. clueless share from clueless remember that scene which is like you know i don't speak mexican i don't like really herman cain why are you having to do this and bring back the ninety's and i think i'm just having a george w. bush and i love that idea of why let's move on to another area of the country where people see a big stick. the rage from the right is rising to a dangerous boiling point and the new poll shows that nearly forty percent of republicans believe president obama is doing many of the things that were.
6:55 pm
true and governor of alaska is encouraging those angered by the democrats in health care reform to the really low. ok take that back to come after i explain the stories in a story here is because you know you remember the outrage before and people were saying that you know the speech is just gotten so toxic and vile but it's free speech and so here we actually had lauren pierce the president of the university of texas at austin she tweeted you are as tempting as it may be don't shoot obama we need him to go down in history as the worst president we've ever had hash tag twenty twelve and this was of course regarding the guy was apprehended for shooting into. you really i mean i think it's gotten so toxic i think it's scary to think that that was just normal for her to tweet think about that i mean it's just it was very very stupid but i think politics has really gotten so you know it just keeps getting pushed more to the right more to the left that people start saying i mean i
6:56 pm
covered so many tea party rallies so have you this kind of speech exists there and it's common for a college president and luckily she has been asked to resign as president of the college republicans that you. when you say oh i mean i just think it's interesting that there were. over iraqi journalists during two shoes which i don't think got close and then this is the reaction to actual two bullets i mean the truth of matter is it's were americans he is our president george w. bush was our president just as whoever is the term cain. would not want anything to happen to us the president of united states are just going to say that. president states i'm going to skip our next story just move on to the last one so rick perry who we all know is not very good at debating sent a letter. to nancy pelosi basically inviting her to a debate and pelosi then tweeted to reply to governor perry saying monday i'll be
6:57 pm
in portland later visiting labs in california that's too i can't remember the third thing i like to have a sense of humor but it was hilarious because a lot of people who would totally school berry and be she's not running she's not a candidate she doesn't need to debate him which is i guess why he offered because he knows that it will never actually happen for these this debate unlike something about congress being in part time now he wants to change the entire system that congress is in session and all that kind of stuff i was just surprised to hear that that he wanted to have any more debate yesterday i'm not going to play i got anything but rick perry to take some time rick perry sit down you can accept that. are you guys they can say and i thank you for a night show thanks for tuning in making a comeback to morrow who knows as to the bottom line and reform school on p.j. t.v. is going to be joining us in the studio and meantime don't forget the man of the lower show on facebook and follow us on twitter you missed any of the nights or any
