soviet the gauge of. the committee on does armaments basically i never left the field of foreign policy studies so i would not say that i'm new to the area. what. a person like me can bring i think during my work on t.v. i got a pretty accurate. feeling of. what the russian population and the russian citizens. think of russian foreign policy what kind of foreign policy they would like to. and. what images they have of their own country of themselves and how they place russia and themselves on the global scene i think it's very important that nation. foreign policy matches the. image that the population would

like to have of the foreign policy the russian parliament and you as well you begin your work in the wake of much foreign criticism with regards to the parliamentary elections claiming that they weren't fair what kind of a challenge does that criticism present to the parliament and do you foresee a response when i think the response has been already given president medvedev. in brussels he basically stated that the opinion of the european parliament. is not important for russia russia is not a member of the european union and so whatever the european in m.p.'s think of the russian elections is not relevant for the russian leadership. and i sing basically. take into account the statements which were made

on this score by the leaders even of opposition parties. this is a consular data the position of the russian parliament whatever. requirements and requests the opposition parties may have. they would like it to be domestic procedure the opposition parties in the parliament even those who insist that they were well ations on russian elections the north support the declaration of the european parliament and the statement which was made by hillary clinton they regarded also as a domestic affair. therefore i think that the parliament will probably stick to this position although as we have already seen there were some public protests against the result of this elections and some opposition party members of those opposition parties took part in this process i. know that the russian services which had dealing with those issues are open twenty or twenty one

criminal case so these things are being started i think they may be considered in the parliament but once again not because hillary clinton said it or the european parliament declared those. elections illegitimate i think that all the political parties which are presented in the state duma they consider those elections legitimate although maybe with some lessons they have accepted the their mandates they have been the first opening session of the russian duma which. basically is a declaration that they have accepted the results so you mention hillary clinton and the united states being specifically critical of these elections do you think that there's still a future for the reset and not reload policy promoted by barack president barack obama well i think that there may be a future for it but i think that it's time to reset the reset. the reason is

relations especially such complicated relations as relations between russia and the united states and my feeling is that these elections will not be an exception and the effect will be negative. where is in calmer times i think. the reset of the reset could have been possible i mean two presidents could have met once again and decide what has gone wrong with their wrists and why we are in an impasse on a why this new tension which appeared between russia and the united states and maybe maybe with their personal. input they would have been able to overcome this once again to push the button but during the elections is much harder to do the republicans are taking obama from the right sometimes from far right positions and
