well. it's technology innovations all the lives developments around russia we've got the future however. be aware there's new me afoot now i have to visit group known for causing cyber harvick has been betrayed by one of its own self-proclaimed leaders turns out he was working with the f.b.i. i will speak to one of the men who was questioned by the f.b.i. and also had his apartment raided by them. and the road to recovery is paved with a positive jobs report but it seems that not the back cannot even reinvigorate the american public or give you two hundred twenty seven thousand reasons lives of public should be excited few more reasons why they are. for twenty six years tony has been ignoring children and trees rubble. it's

a grotesque story that has been splattered all over mainstream headlines brought to you by a documentary that shows one side of a complicated story will show you how humanitarian groups are blurring the line between charity and politics and actually advocating military intervention. it is friday march ninth four pm in washington d.c. i'm christine for souring you're watching our t.v. . well let's begin today with a complaint that many job creators in this country have some of the difficulties they face when the idea is there and the money is there i think accessibility always isn't many companies cite harsh regulations as the biggest barriers to getting their businesses off the ground there are course environmental regulations and zoning regulations but what about those other laws that are in place are key
4:02 pm
correspondent liz wahl looks at the bureaucratic waste that sometimes gets in the way of progress. america once considered the land of opportunity home of the american dream for the entrepreneurial spirit thrives it is all bad enough to pass now it seems a ridiculous bureaucracy has people jumping through hoops to start a business when the government makes entrepreneurs do useless things for no. yes many business owners are finding today tonya edwards and bill mayne owned sags in the city in the heart of washington d.c. the important thing is before you get on make sure the green lights are there. they guide their customers on tours throughout the nation's capital be a segue i want to bring you think forward one but what they're doing is illegal because they don't have a license to speak to tourists. for ninety days from one hundred dollars but he

believes he shouldn't need a license to talk to people. before spring when overcome constitution. and they're not alone in fighting government bureaucracy to keep their business afloat on become a florist in new orleans you must pass a test some say is more difficult than the bar exam to become a lawyer completely subjective test was evaluated by other florists who are going who you are going to be competing against or if you want to build a viewer a home in st paul minnesota but the government is forcing him to spend thirty thousand dollars. that he doesn't want and doesn't need these are just a few. the many occupational licensing cases the institute for justice says they're fighting against we're talking about the rights that you can amik liberty here this is the right someone to earn an honest living in an occupation of their own troops doing so how are these laws able to get enacted lobbyist and special interest groups that infiltrate politics on the federal and local levels urging lawmakers to
4:04 pm
pass regulations that benefit them and keep the competition out the results in america growing increasingly regulated and the one nine hundred fifty s. one in twenty occupations require the government license to day it's one and three and all this red tape is costing taxpayers billions the interior department is in charge of salmon well they're in freshwater but the commerce department handles them when they're in shape what i hear it gets even more complicated once there's smoke. but it's no laughing matter a report from the government accountability office shows billions of dollars spent on bureaucratic waste in the federal government all the lyall president obama vows to fight unemployment by creating jobs night my message to business leaders is simple ask yourselves what you can do to bring jobs back to your country and your country will do everything we can to help you succeed but what the government needs
4:05 pm
to do say many business owners is get rid of all the red tape that's creating hurdles to reaching economic success and maybe too much regulation that's choking the life out of the u.s. economy. in washington liz wall. but let's turn now to a video that has gone viral and you may have seen it or at least thing the link i know i watched it along with what was i this morning seventeen million other people it's a moving video and a well produced one at that here's a clip from twenty six years he's been kidnapping children interest. turning the girls in the circs slaves and the boys in the child soldiers. all right so according to the group's website the group that makes this is called invisible children twenty twelve is a film and a campaign by invisible children that aids to make joseph koni famous not to
4:06 pm
celebrate him but to raise support for his arrest and set precedent for international justice now most people agree that joseph kony is a very bad man but the film advocates for more u.s. involvement and direct military action president obama has already sent in one hundred combat troops to try to help get rid of joseph county which is in no uncertain terms the u.s. government using resources to take down and possibly kill a man in another country and we want to talk about some the implications of the release of this video and do some reading between the lines with work or sports work on it he's harmless now hey there keith let's talk about this seventy million viewers and counting at coney twenty israel is already the fastest growing social media video campaign we've ever seen your thoughts on us this is absolute rubbish going to be not only is it full of lies it's simplistic and it's directly in the american public to support further. military action in africa where we are already
4:07 pm
there when a writer and you say that this film is full of lies what is not true about the film for example that tony has thirty thousand children in his army this is not true over the last twenty six years of kone military actions against the government of uganda there have been supposedly thirty thousand children abducted i would look at them it's not clear because seventy the president of uganda is responsible for genocide in northern uganda and he needs coney to be able to justify continuing u.s. support and military support and now sending in troops which we've been doing for quite some time and one of the lies in the film is that tony is not supported by anyone tony has an office in washington d.c. the united states government has direct connections to coney that they want to get rid of this guy to get rid of him very quickly are you telling me that in twenty two well we don't have the sophisticated satellite technology to track down a single african warlord in africa nonsense would it benefit him be in you in the guy we supported you know you support for years and then go out as soon as the
4:08 pm
united states wanted you to go and he was going with in a week if the united states had israel send in special forces and eliminate jonas savimbi so kone is kept there to serve the interests of the united states to discern the interest of the ugandan government because as long as they have a bogeyman to claim it is creating these atrocities who said any can and should to blame for the genocide against two million of chile people unto this guy joseph koni and he can only death in the pentagon for more military hardware war aid which is converted to military hardware and more troops and that's exactly what they've done i mean i think this criticism has been launched not just by you but by a whole lot of people of the u.s. government wanted to find him they could it is after all twenty twelve we have brilliant intelligence officers out there on the other hand that this is more of a tribal area than even you know afghanistan and a lot of parts of africa and you know think about how long it took to find a solid line and i'm at the center. i'm just wondering i mean there have been
4:09 pm
a lot of criticism unleashed against this film since it went viral a couple days ago and one of the one of the complaints also is that joseph kony hasn't even been in uganda for the last six years. and visible children has also been criticized for you know only giving a third of their money to actually helping children in uganda but the bottom line is their mission has more to do with advocacy and raising awareness and they've been you know pretty honest about this all along so why should it matter i mean you call it a propaganda film why should it not or that a couple of guys who raised a bunch of money are putting this out there. you know what american public doesn't want to look at is their whiteness is all about whiteness that's why the film starts up with a bunch of white kid white child in a white family and it connects our hearts to the white man i mean i'm the white man who went into africa in the beginning it was like i was starving and here i am in central africa on a bicycle well ninety ninety one now i work at genocide investigator looking at one of the things that we have to look at is the role of the collect myself like invisible children like john prendergast who you see in the film saving another
4:10 pm
couple of lives net is that no one in the u.s. government is going to do enough to stop this problem or do enough just mentioning the word enough is enough is his organization you know it's funded by the intelligence sector but center for american progress there for american progress has funded poverty organizations to create slack around central africa running these standards taking action now on guard for another one is invisible children on uganda another one is the resolve group also on uganda and they hope for the congo that they raise rates so protocol and will get another one all funded by the intelligence sector by the center for american progress and john print a graph is the intelligence director in one thousand nine hundred six he was an intelligence operative in the national security council for him jefferson clinton at the very time that we were invading the congo from uganda and they could have eliminated going then when we were spending all the he won thirty american military on the ground in uganda in one thousand nine hundred six for the invasion of the congo and since nine hundred ninety we've been supporting the sudan people's
4:11 pm
liberation army so greatly in sudan and you see these guys from enough sorry for me because it will still be funny when i get there it's like and here is that you seem to be saying that the u.s. actually has no interest in finding tony capturing hony. and that this is sort of just a distraction found connected to the u.s. government and the intelligence community and i getting that right i salute they have no interest in going tony if they wanted to eliminate him they could eliminate him any time it's not about that they need him. tony has essentially the president of uganda came to power in one thousand nine hundred eighty and one hundred six backed by israel britain and united states kone came from a woman named joseph look weiner no i mean these facts are not in the propaganda thing because it's too complicated they say it's too complicated for the american public but if you look at the history who said he created these death camps in uganda and the death camps had two million people and in order to justify hurting
4:12 pm
be a chile people into these death camps with a policy a written policy for genocide against your chile people who seventy had to have somebody to use as the bogeyman to claim that he was protecting these people from him that was joseph conan but as far as this film as far as this this as you say propaganda film this film put out and that is now going viewed by millions by the group invisible children what's really the problem with that i mean everyone that comes out with a film or a documentary has an agenda they leave out sacks and put emphasis on other facts to get their message across why is it dangerous that this has been seen by so many people most people who see it even pinpoint you get on a map. something this is the nature of reactivity suddenly something has provoked him to take some action sort of invisible children has sold out all of their propaganda all of their things that you can buy online so it's a profit making venture first of all second it's
4:13 pm
a bunch of white guys who don't know nothing about nothing. well i mean they know i mean i've met these guys they're from my hometown and they're very religious and they do they look like little i know they look like one surfer guys. they're very passionate about what they do but when you say they know nothing about nothing i mean these guys have been over there do you think it's wrong that they've brought the issue to light for the american people or are you just saying they're painting the picture falsely you know they're painting a picture both in the words that so journalists who are supposedly you know producing balanced article group it's an internal mechanism of still censorship you know is essential to distill it down to a few simple facts in the case of this film they're not even correct all right all right you know we we do appreciate your perspective we think it's really important to get that out there certainly if you turn on c.n.n. or fox today there's definitely only one side and that's why i wanted to have you wanted to kind of read between the lines for us and we do appreciate it work correspondent peter arment snow thanks so much all right let's turn now to the
4:14 pm
economy jobs numbers for february are out today and i lay them out just recently for you the u.s. labor department says last month two hundred twenty seven thousand new jobs were created but the unemployment rate stayed the same as the month before at about eight point three percent a lot of people speculating this is because more people entered back into the sort of looking for a job category which is why the unemployment rate didn't go down and we are at a time right now called by many a time of recovery but today we want to look at what recovery actually names and for whom michael hudson is an economics professor at the university of missouri and joins me now from forest hills new york hey there michael let's take this just out of the jobs numbers who's winning and who's losing right now in this current economy. it's hard to find very many owners if you talk about recovery and the question is what is going to be recovered there's sort of an illusion of jobs go up
4:15 pm
we're returning to a normal situation but it's not a normal situation and i'll be economy is still having to go up and in fact the same day yesterday. and there were going to be the increased job numbers you had for the first time in four years and see where it went up again not market step because the mortgage market is still going to get one. of the other debts and you kind of get the you know it credit where it gets the employment did go up for the reasons that you mentioned the consumer in term didn't go up let's remained constant so that's not right and the jobs that we're talking about going up there's been a shift from the high paying jobs to the ok let me get in here right now because we do have a on sort of breakdown of the jobs created i just want to put that up for our viewers in terms of these new jobs created last month they were in health care in manufacturing field but they were also in leigh's or and hospitality that category
4:16 pm
so we're talking about maids and busboys hotel and motel front desk clerks so in other words jobs that are often pretty low paying jobs and then what if you take a look at last jobs those were in retail but also in the public sector and construction jobs people who make a decent living are construction jobs so i think that goes sort of along with what you were saying michael with wages not going up and in terms of the type of guns that are actually coming in from different kind of me john's that plug holes rather than help people sustain a like that right but you're right that's exactly what's happening and that's just what the republican nominee mitt romney said yesterday that he was look at obama's trying to take. credit for all of us but look what it is we have the people who use . the old jobs train cherubs they're not getting work the students are not getting another one pound of debt soaring the students there so you have the students
4:17 pm
graduated with a lot of violence and they're not being able to repay their loans are living off of the parents and. the debts are going up and all they can get are exactly the kind of working jobs you're talking about that go it's going to get there so you are going to have to do and i know today's news was of course viewed as positive by a lot of people and then i wanted to something else out there last month also saw the worst monthly deficit in history according to the congressional budget office so the deficit in fiscal year two thousand and twelve is already more than half a trillion dollars do you think this should concern the american people. should really consider them as where the money's going all this money is going to be our local banks it's not going to the people it's not helping the economy is slowing directly into mr obama's campaign control and the banks already been bailed out. they're getting it a month ago mr obama gave forty five million dollars and promised not to send them
4:18 pm
to jail so not only there not the mail bailed out to justice departments refusing to prosecute the crime and said well we can't prosecute you because if we did go under and you couldn't spread the recovery so we're not going to prosecute you we're going to give you forty five billion will you please began lending it out again and the banks are in but doing it except they're taking their own problems their name salaries they're putting their money abroad but the drain on the economy is the wall street. sector in the real estate sector is not going in in fact the position of the obama administration is you have to be in some way jeans point three percent you have is soon as you three away you can be sure he's going to push me an appointment great way up because he's basically the same kind of a neo liberal that you have reached in europe so i think you might look at recent dress rehearsal for our arts and early afternoon here and i think since you brought
4:19 pm
up race we can talk about and i know that our news on the european debt crisis has not been you know major it's been a little hospital you know an announcement came down today that greece is nearing its second bailout after winning that crucial backslap the greece finance minister as well as the i.m.f. there praising this part of this story that you think are needing told. well that's not being told it all right so. the infusion of the better luck is not reached so often it's still resisting while the system that it turned over well was in the public domain foreigners to be able to make a huge explosion on a property and all of the financial times the wall street journal's say look there is no way it reached can replay this bailout money it's just that we paid. by our own money to be european governments so in effect the european governments that. they be paid their own banks and not the governments ok the last meeting
4:20 pm
expectations since in europe they don't rate their own money. so essentially it's another way and you know just like you know we've been having the whole rest of the world and i think that's something that a lot of people don't really understand when they look at the european debt crisis and they look at greece let's bring right back here to the u.s. just for just for one more question for you there michael. i want a lot of people talk about the economy and jobs one of the areas they look to is the i went astray are people buying cars what kind of cars are they're buying i know back in the sixty's and seventy's cars were about comfort and luxury and for a lot of people now it's about what's cheap now i want to bring up something interesting the chevy volt is now out and it's a plug in car so people are talking about how much money it will save even though it's forty thousand dollars can buy what do you think you think people are going to buy these you think these are going to be the car of the future and how can that sort of symbolize what's going on in the economy right now. field as i feel all
4:21 pm
over so. yes i suspect your guess is quoted and i think people are going to hold off because they're not sure what you like nickel prices are going to be not sure that there is this is just not my department totally i know i just it's one of those areas people are talking about but we do appreciate you being on with us certainly a lot going on and a lot more to read than just what the numbers themselves say michael hudson economics professor at the university of missouri. well let's turn now to some new developments in the world of hacktivism we here at r t try to keep you up to date on all the latest actions by anonymous and earlier this week we told you that several members of the hacking group were charged by the f.b.i. is a group within the movement of anonymous and the f.b.i. was apparently assisted in finding some of the suspects i hope there's a viewer or also known as. it was
4:22 pm
a twenty eight year old man father of two apparently allegedly was the head of an operation conducted out of his new york city apartment that involved hundreds of hackers from around the world now when taken into custody by the f.b.i. he started helping them find some of the other people that they were looking for so government officials say they have now successfully chopped off the head of the movement but even since those arrests were made an anti-virus company called panda security was hacked into along with the website for the vatican to protest according to anonymous against the catholic church itself and its positions on certain issues so clearly the hacking is not over and our web site has been following anonymous closely and i've got our web writer andrew blake here now to sort of break this down first of all i guess was just start today is friday a lot of times on friday we hear. about some the next takedown by anonymous anything happened today you know unfortunately nothing on par with what we've seen over the last couple of weeks the last couple of months and actually the last year
4:23 pm
but you have zero twenty twelve that every friday they're going to keep going and things slow down a bit whether or not it's related to how the feds have been going after people this week we don't know. but there's a previous thread as we've seen the cia actually seizing the one secure you have where you were so it was their own to keep in mind this is while the apparently infiltrated the group so that's the whole there's so many questions coming out of. the cooperation which was an operation of him working with you. yeah we just found out so. correct you know i'm sorry oh sure i was and so people across the world are getting involved in this and the f.b.i. saying that they take five of them. and that's it but i wasn't that it was apparently working with out of his apartment yeah. but. five people is not a lock especially out of the house and that's a very big number. of the f.b.i. is trying to say you know we chop the head up because anonymous certainly you know
4:24 pm
if there was no hope yet there is going to tell about that because that a lot of people don't understand this they see this as sort of an organization and now you know the president has been taken down so the rest will fall and that's not how it is that all the difference different and i were quick to point out that the mainstream media was reporting that to this the leader of this movement was shut down but did you mean to call it a movement is even one thing that i would argue but there is a good anonymous itself calls itself a movement ok well they say that hacking group for a movement and what they're doing is the idea and you can't just. second you think of five guys as we seen within hours of the news earlier this week web sites were already being attacked and like you mentioned security is that it can and this is all in the three or four days since this happened and you know you would think that if the f.b.i. has used informants and they have these insiders that they would do something to not let this happen. he was still working with the f.b.i.
4:25 pm
during distract for leak and they still let them what happened in the paper and you know if you look on twitter facebook a lot of people are very angry i mean there is a huge following and a lot of people are angry at this this guy sabu parents i mean what do you think is going to be do you think we'll see more fallout do you think i don't think so it's a very huge loose knit collective in that you know scattered all across the world but a lot of people that are heavily involved really consider themselves family and they're saying so i was just a traitor is just terrible you know how could you do this to your own brothers and i think that i mean obviously you're going to have some people that are going to want to part ways with the group regardless of what happened but let me put it sweet up from the anonymous that you actually showed me that we can put it on the screen for our viewers. as trust us you think you've seen the full muscles of
4:26 pm
anonymous up to now now you ain't seen nothing yet get ready march twenty twelve so our streets well we're in march and we're going to march twenty two hour almost halfway through. i think we've got some time i think we're going to see some big things and i know you read a lot about this you're always on top of this has there been any hints about what's next i mean if there were hints and i was going to discuss them on the air that would be dangerous i mean they're not totally like trying to disclose everything or i would. expect some more things this month absolutely. you know. very many other unfortunate circumstances like this are really the city right and you always do keep us up to date on that drive you continue to have greater interplay vary so much well coming up next on our t. the capital account so let's check in with lauren lister to see what's on today's agenda lauren jobs numbers out you can be talking about absolutely christine you know people that have maybe greek bailout to keep her going to be happy that
4:27 pm
there's a lot of good news well a lot of news coming out of the west as far as how good it is that's what we're going to look at a lot of people looking at these jobs numbers as sturdy but when you look behind the headlines christine i don't know what's so scary about thousands of temp jobs being created and more than half of these jobs according to an analyst are low paying jobs so when we talk about any kind of a recovery i don't know is that a recovery if you're getting a job at mcdonalds or as a part time secretary we're not so sure at the same time all those tax payers now paying so much in taxes as guess what the u.s. deficit christine in february on track to be worse the deficit ever recorded for a month in history yes and we talked about a little bit a few minutes ago with michael hudson who certainly said listen when you're working at mcdonald's or you're working as a motel clerk oftentimes that's your second or third job so i think you're right there's a lot of plugging holes there are not really sustaining this economy everyone should stay tune and watch lauren but for us here that's going to do it for more on
