our way out of this mess right well obama did talk about how we ended the iraq war which we already know isn't true we're never leaving iraq we're still in japan which brings me to afghanistan obama touted progress saying that the surge worked and that they train afghan forces successfully to but that's a load of crap unless you count record u.s. soldiers suicides and green on blue insider killings as success and you know what that's all that was mentioned about afghanistan the longest war and us history siphoning billions of tax dollars to kill innocent people i guess it's not that big of a deal but the one thing last night that really resonated with me was the bipartisan support for keeping the military strong. here's obama promising that no cuts will be made and there's romney promising to almost double its size look eyes how sad is it that two warmongering establishment corporate puppets are the

really seen by those who are featured in it is there any sense of what tara actually does with this footage they film of protests i think they would have the n.y.p.d. and the mayor's office would have you believe that tarot is actually there to protect civilians and to have video footage available in the case of police abuses but what we've seen obviously in this case is that the man has been back in the police when they've been abusive towards protesters and video footage. they refused to release it and the way we got this video footage obviously was through an anonymous release so i noticed in watching some of the footage that there's a lot of obvious edits in the material just kind of jumps from one scene to the other particularly when the arrests are taking place did the n.y.p.d. have the opportunity to edit this film to cover up more severe police brutality

than we've seen where they would certainly seem that way and what we're calling for is a full release of full edited footage that actually shows what really went down and of course some of. in occupy wall street we have our own media department of course which was one of the strings one of the sources of strength and video footage shows a lot of police abuse but of course police destroyed some of our computers our cameras so we know we don't have as. as much footage as extensive footage as we could have had so it does appear that it's and it is really the goal is to get their ip to release full footage unedited footage sure now there's a group of volunteers who are aggressively logging as you said what kind of things are they looking for i mean will this be enough to build a solid investigation against the n.y.p.d. here. oh well really it's the point of the project is to log

as much footage as we can possibly log showing direct and obvious abuses we occupy obviously very aware that there was a lot of abuses we were at the wrong end of those abuses so many of us. and here i witnessed it i was there on november fifteenth i was a short distance away throughout the night actually. we saw. our fellow occupiers being beaten being abused. coming and grabbing. property like cameras and computers with absolutely no absolute for for absolutely no reason whatsoever they face no threat from protest and they chose. to grab protesters to arrest to and even to prevent the exit

of some protesters from the park those who didn't want to be you know to confront the police or to stand down the police. we aim really is to provide as much evidence of police abuse as we possibly can so that we press so that those who want to and hopefully the idea is that many occupies will want to press charges and get to the bottom of the abuses there un human rights. i forget exactly the. title but somebody from the human rights commission pointed to the fact the n.y.p.d. is not holding international human rights so you know if the united states is going to i just heard your last segment where you were talking about the the photo debates last night when the candidates and and if they're going to. and.

and pose as if the police of human rights across the water there are ignoring their own thought thuggery right here in u.s. soil but i want to ask you one last question if we know that there was a class action lawsuit against and i pity for the abuses that took place already what happened with that you have about forty seconds here. the suit is actually still under way and we haven't actually gotten i'm not i'm not at liberty to a much more other than the fact that it is still under way very notable is that the n.y.p.d. refused to defend but one cop in particular jury who was so you know all over the wall didn't footage. of the pepper spray incident on wall street so that's notable because it suggests that the n.y.p.d. did not feel that he was innocent and could be defended by the n.y.p.d. well thank you very much i saw the n.y.p.d. abuse firsthand they were making up rules on the spot arresting people for no

group is in point and porton and why you decided to make this documentary. i sure as you said in the introduction there these guys have being pretty much operating in the shadows ever since one nine hundred fifty four and it's only intel just recently that people have started to learn about just who these guys are and that's because of the with the rise of the independent media i remember the first time i covered bill berger i was back in two thousand and six and when i was there in zero six there was next to nobody and then here we are six years later and there had to be at least a thousand people at this protest so. we just wanted we were exposed to the group let people know exactly what these guys are all about and the bottom line is these are some of the most powerful and influential people in the world presidents prime ministers military men media moguls and they are meeting in secret behind closed

doors discussing foreign policy so we feel it's something that people should at the very least be aware of so that's why we felt we wanted to make this film i went down to chantilly virginia to cover the latest meeting and when we got back we decided you know what we think we have something here and the makings of a good documentary so we decided to compile all of our portage and put everything into a solid concrete pensive film that we're getting set to release very soon you know whenever things are being done in secret being drafted talked about simply not not very good dad but most people have talked about bill burkett just said you know it's just a meeting nothing important happens there i mean what do we know for sure dan it has already come out of these billboard meetings. ok well this is talk to you know we don't want to speculate about what sorts of things may be coming out or this and that but certainly they they've been exposed for many of the things that have

happened over the years back in two thousand and six it was revealed that they were discussing some of the. housing bubbles and yet coming economic crisis which ended up happening just two years later a lot of times with bill bird you can kind of see what's coming down the road just by paying attention to who's there is a good way to find out what's going on. a lot of times are very influential people who get invited to build the bird will very soon often end up in very high positions of power we also point out because i think a part of the story that a lot of people are missing is also the canadian connection to build burg and we try to expose a lot of the major players in that regards as well and how to build a bird influences the canadian finances canadian politics and we point out a lot of the major players in that regards as well and then just by getting the

information out there you know we can we can generally forecast what kinds of things we may potentially see in the future. so you pay attention to who is going and then you can get a better idea of what sorts of things they might be doing right it's definitely the who's who are around the world than we've seen year after year i mean that the partial list that they released on our website of course we know that there's more to that people saw multiple people who weren't on that less but then what do you think about other think tanks like the council on foreign relations the atlantic council the trilateral commission i mean are these just as important do you think that build the burgh is more significant than these think tanks where i mean c.e.o.'s and heads of state are also discussing and potentially drafting a foreign policy. i think all of these think tanks are extremely important to pay attention to and interesting point about groups like trilateral commission c.f.r. and bill berger is you'll often find a lot of the same people who are

a part of all three of these groups some of us call them the triple threats and when you find some of these politicians bankers very influential people who just so happen to be steering committee and then maybe they'll also tend trilateral meetings that also c.f.r. meetings it's hard to deny that these people have an incredible amount of influence . on shaping the direction of the world really and what you start to see some of these triple perhaps as we call them you start to connect the dots and you say you know what these guys do have a lot of power these guys do have a lot of influence and sometimes they just may influence one another at these meetings and to to to get things done right resentful when i go ahead. well we point to. point it out in other films to for example in regards to setting up

the north american union for example in ninety six paul martin the former prime minister of canada was bill bird meeting. and alan gottlieb all these guys were instrumental in their always putting together stepping stones towards an any you. alan gottlieb was instrumental in the key a john correction was involved with nav. paul martin was involved with the s.p.p. of course stephen harper is also billed bird member and he is involved with the north american leaders summit so a lot of these time a lot of the times. these guys might not even necessarily understand how they're connected with one another but they're certainly carrying out the bidding of the steering committee right where you see it madeleine albright colin powell henry kissinger on the steering committee said these think tanks i mean a lot of neo con has a lot of people who've been out of politics paris still definitely directly influence and policy really quick to wrap it up though dan and the train there were

in mind that this is something that the mainstream media of course has doesn't touch and i'm guessing they see fox and why is this and what does it say that the media's silence can be bought. they're about thirty seconds ok well yeah that's just the fact is these guys are covering it and because for the most part they are attending the meetings and they have a strict rule of secrecy and they are simply not allowed to discuss the things that are going on there and so there is a tight control on the information that gets out to the world of bellville bird but that is changing we call this film turning point because it is the turning point for the build bird group things are changing the rise of the independent media is making it more and more difficult for guys like this to operate in the shadows and that's also a big part of this film is documenting the rise of i'll turn in the independent media and how we are shining a bright bright light on the shadows that are going on in the build bird group so

use it to continue to go after the people who represent a threat to this nation and to our friends. shocker you know when it comes to the economy there are so many differences when it comes to the unwarranted killing of mostly innocent civilians well no disagreement there in fact romney agrees completely with the drone king's policy across the muslim world to infinity and beyond even when that means a ninety eight percent failure rate that's right according to c.n.n. the number of high level targets killed when compared to total casualties is extremely low estimate at about two percent and what that's doing to the wellbeing of the pakistani people is absolutely disgraceful just the threat of a cia drone strike is causing mental trauma for families in pakistan who have changed their way of life for fear of an attack at any moment even car pakistan's foreign minister talked passionately about drones when she discussed why there is so much anti-american sentiment in the country in fact she explained that there are

so kind of productive that they're actually causing more violence with a huge surge in suicide bombings she said pre nine eleven there was one suicide bombing in pakistan and since two thousand and seven there have been the real hundred and fifty two folks this is real but according to the cia a reality doesn't matter because instead of scaling back or at least reexamining the program the agency is seeking to do the opposite yes just last week we learned the cia is urging the white house to approve more drones the agency is proposing a thirty percent increase and guess what there is a new country on the docket. has been taken over the northern part of mali by al qaida type individuals. yep molly i guess romney is just trying to lay the groundwork for a budding u.s. france drone warfare collaboration because you see right now france is moving surveillance drones into the country and they'll be getting lots of special help
