after court verdict for last year's football riots capital's been the scene of the most violent clashes while state of emergency was declared in sinai over terror attack fields. tonight which i was his hand-picked successor nicolas maduro small in his interim president with many wondering about venezuela's future direction now after the death of the country's leader for the last fourteen years. and for the last u.n. peacekeepers taken hostage by syrian rebels in the golan heights region have been released and handed over to the jordanian government to examine the effect that radical opposition factions are having on the western backed rebel contingent. over good morning she just joined us let me have you with this it's now we're just after one am here in moscow it's kevin owen here in r.t.
4:01 pm
this morning and first as you've just been hearing egypt's been plunged into chaos three people have reportedly been killed in cairo with the local media indicating an eighteen year old child was among the victims the unrest follows a court verdict in the case of last year's football riots which confirmed earlier death sentences and gave a new present terms artie's bell true as the latest. clashes rage on in downtown cairo between anti-government protesters largely led by football fans and the security forces are the verdict in this contentious point saeed's football riot trial at least three confirmed dead after kyrie based football fans set fire to a football federation building and the police club kyra football fans also known as there are chairs are last week said they will not stop this level of violence as they are actually unhappy with this verdict which saw twenty one points i had residents facing the death penalty and find at least five others getting life sentences here in points i.e.
4:02 pm
the scenes have been calm however people when the verdict was released as saying the country has abandoned them and the president mohamed morsi is actually bowing to pressure from the capital we have yet to see what the situation will be in the coming days but here people say they were in post i.e. they say that they will continue a general strike which is happening right now in addition she trying to prevent traffic on the series canal and stopping government buildings from opening in cairo of course the ultras have said there they will continue fighting the police they will continue the protest until they get what they want really right now we have great to see is what will happen across the country with continued clashes continued strikes well true the another round of deadly protests following the controversial verdict with egypt seeing a spate indeed a fatal clashes this year. he's a political activist in cairo he says that the violent trend said to continue to until president mohamed morsi deals with the real instigators of the trouble. the
4:03 pm
results are definitely not satisfactory not just for the football fans the ultras but for the entire nation seventy eight young people got killed and yet two of the ministry of interior officials are the ones on trial president morsi had a couple of months ago appointed a fact finding committee that implicates fifty six other members of the ministry of interior this report was not taken into consideration at court and only two of those officials were scapegoats hence the issue escalates on the streets more because this is is nothing but a political fiasco rather than. court proceedings read the people want is a fair trial for other those who are. implicated not those who actually killed the people with their own hands but those who were behind them supporting them financing them and giving them the plan those are the two murders because they
4:04 pm
continue to be on the streets in key. places such as the ministry of interior the national security and some of them are in the intelligence community the president needs to take very severe measures very radical measures in cleansing the state institutions of the loyalists to the mubarak's he's not been doing so on the country he's promoted some of them he's trying to co-opt them and it's not working and it's only blowing in his face and he still presented really getting teased for the political process to resume fairly and we want you to keep track of everything that's happening in egypt on our website r.t. dot com we've got a lot of details about what's been happening there since the violence flared up following the verdict along with the latest pictures and videos from the scene as well as the dot com. venezuela still in mourning for its lately to go chavez is to hold presidential

elections within less than thirty days as mandated in the country's constitution but some say caracas will be able to organize the vote in such a short time the date of the election could be announced though later on saturday i spoke to lizzie feelin she's from marty's video agency ruptly she's in caracas for us. but waiting now for the electoral commission to announce the dates of elections there have been some reports that the elections will take place on april fourteenth we're still waiting for that to be confirmed of course yesterday the vice president nicolas maduro was sworn in as the president and so elections take place in approximately thirty days some voices in the opposition notably the man who is how this is the main opposition and he got the he would have called the swearing in. for dinner and hugo chavez personally appointed. as the man that he wanted
4:06 pm
to succeed him and of course hugo chavez the late president has immense popularity and by the way you know we're in the fourth day now which is why he has lain in state and the queues of hundreds and thousands of people just to catch a glimpse glimpse of him from literally five seconds continue with russian f.m. love rob has said that he hopes that his heritage continues to deepen the ties between russia and venezuela and he's also said that he hopes that russia will respect the outcome of venezuela and that actions and he hopes that all countries around the world again referring to the fact that there have been many outside powers who would like to see. a revolution inside venezuela. among many condolences coming from inside and outside venezuela but there was a very good statement coming from chavez's last election and. he said he was mourning this loss and that he had never been his enemy but his rival i think is a very respectful attitude and my hope in the following election battle mourning
4:07 pm
the loss of venezuela and its friends including russia we have to look forward chavez's hair which only helped to deepen our partnership the majority in venezuela want to show this to you. but the choice of people. or the country of elections with them is right do the same and that we know. to influence their choice. amongst the crowds you know we've been there quite a lot over the last few days and one of the most popular chance is with chavez and i thought other people are today and yesterday when he was sworn in in the national assembly there were very emotional crowds kind of pledging this support for him and he announced that he pages to continue the revolution he was very emotional he was in tears as he said presidential and he said that the sash that he was taking belonged to chavez now at the same time he also again made reference to the fact. that suffered from was very suspicious and that of course when
4:08 pm
i was first diagnosed as having having cancer he accused or he said actually that it was not a coincidence or a firing essentially to the united states the fact that the united states has made no bones about the fact that they would like to see an end to the bolivarian revolution in venezuela. as you feeling well meantime the leader of venezuela's opposition and. is accusing of politicizing chavez's funeral now to the american expert steve ballmer told us despite the harsh words so the opposition isn't likely to win the people's trust. the opposition and understands that it will not win elections just on the base of the middle class the opposition has made an effort to appeal to the four people. and the campaign for the presidential election he said mark over the last year. and candidate which he continually.
4:09 pm
wage is that somebody spoke to the poor people and that was the main thrust of his campaign there is a great amount of distrust among the poor people if copy of the medal but openly said it's pretty much that such a program that was so popular there was so political success. will be abated if the opposition return returned to power the keil of it is is that not do or not have any trouble with the upcoming presidential elections he is closely associated with china you know which i was left venezuela to go to cuba he called venezuelans and his people particularly to vote for me to work to support mature into elected president if the situation came to that.
4:10 pm
for headlines tonight the twenty one u.n. peacekeepers abducted by syrian rebels in the golan heights have been released and handed over to the jordanian authorities the observers were captured by militants on wednesday rescue efforts were hampered by sporadic fighting between syrian troops and rebels despite a fragile temporary ceasefire earlier and here sowed fighters had set their demands for government troops to withdraw from the area as a precondition for the release of the peacekeepers rebel groups also backtracked to on claims that use them as human shields patrick path is a political analyst and historian just last hour told me the rebels transferred the captives to jordan and not directly to the u.n. in an attempt to undermine the organization's peacekeeping efforts in syria. in the end the hostages were not released to the u. well that shows there. was a certain intention undermine the united nations and brahimi the special envoy of the un and the arab league for us syria and at the same time

there was sent to jordan jordan is a country where the united states britain and one of the other countries are training syrian rebels the british foreign minister william hague keeps repeating from time to time. he wants to help the syrian rebels but not other kind are or similar fundamentalist groups. i mean i think it is fair to say that president obama would also not refine other but the problem is how can the united states and europe stop countries like saudi arabia and qatar or the main arm suppliers to the rebels whose constituency. that of militants. still ahead this hour on.

against afghan government until all that. foreign troops leave the country if this is a new wave of of attacks from the taliban. there are other cities and afghanistan is going towards more violence and the next i mean mansour the people of afghanistan has a strong concert that's jewish and will go well will be wars particularly after. two thousand and fourteen when all the foreign troops leave the country. russian micro satellites been hit by chinese space junk that have been floating around up there since two thousand and seven and there's an abundance of space debris out there and even an object as well as a sugar cube can cause a lot of damage well investigating this. thomas you suppose my colleague andrew fowler earlier on about the threat posed by even these tiny little objects floating around in space. this is a sugar cube and it doesn't seem like it's very much but if it hits you at
4:16 pm
seventeen thousand miles an hour you can imagine it can do significant damage now in terms of this specific incident this is a collision between a piece of space junk from a chinese satellite which was destroyed back in two thousand and seven it collided with a small russian blit satellite the incident actually happened on january twenty second but it took up until now to discover exactly what happened and here's why scientists discovered basically that there was a change in st jacques a change in the orbit and even the spin of the satellite and at that point they had to work backwards kind of reverse engineering to find out what happened what they decided is that at the point where they had this change there was a near miss with this piece of space junk so they decided well this is the size that could have caused such a change in trajectory and so they have to determine that there was indeed a collision now space junk doesn't seem like it kind of sounds comical but really if you think about it there's more than five hundred thousand objects being tracked
4:17 pm
by nasa and other agencies in space right now and that's twenty thousand of those the size of a softball or larger if you think about that those things hitting at seventeen thousand miles an hour significant damage to satellites and a lot of millions of dollars if you will because satellites are a commodity so there's a lot to be concerned about and must be very hard to track those i mean something as small as a shitty key i mean how do you track that in anticipation what are they doing to solve this problem oh yeah and that's only the stuff that can be tracked there's a countless number of things that are smaller than one centimeter that can't even be tracked i mean we've been shooting things into space for more than fifty years now. so there's this different telescopes and laser imaging systems that are in the process of tracking different objects and what happens is when they determine that there is a near miss or there's going to be an instance where these things pass kind of close to each other then they change the trajectory of the course of the satellite there's also something called cancer syndrome is basically the critical mass where we've sent too much stuff into space it's created so much junk that we can't send
4:18 pm
something into space without hitting something and there are some people who believe that we've maybe already hit that critical mass so that the more stuff we put up the more expensive it becomes the more dangerous it becomes as well. or the mess will use a brief back down on earth violence to continue in pakistan crowds of ransacked torched a christian neighborhood in the eastern town of more whole rest or up to the friday night indeed for a christian man ever accused of committing blasphemy that's a crime punishable by death in the country police took the money the cost of the time to pacify the mob hundreds of christian families for the area overnight fearing for their safety. a journey extremist claim to have murdered seven foreign hostages kidnapped recently in the north of the country according to the group's website the killings were in retaliation to a joint british nigerian military term to reclaim the prisoners the seven foreign workers from the u.k. greece italy lebanon and the philippines are all employed by a company called said track o. it's a lebanese construction group working in the region. and he knew clear anger spreading

across asia in taiwan tens of thousands took to the streets to demand the plans for a nuclear plant there with billions of dollars be scrapped meantime in japan thousands more are protesting too for an end to nuclear power just days before the second anniversary of the fukushima disaster and friday tepco the company cleansing the radiated side of notes that it needs an extra four years just to flood proof area delaying then the removal of the melted uranium fuel. there appears to be a shadow of apartheid in israel palestinians commuting from the west bank and being urged to board special buses those buses were launched this last week by the transport ministry after some jewish settlers said they feared their safety was at risk artie's paula slip reports next on how the roots of the racist overtones go even deeper. on the first of december one nine hundred fifty five a black woman by the name of rosa parks made history by refusing to give up her seat in the so-called trial of six in of a crowded bar. that incident became
4:20 pm
a formative event in the u.s. civil rights movement and again this week israelis and palestinians are remembering that incident as the transport ministry introduces segregated bus lines in other words bus services only for kind of stimulus coming in and out of the west bank the move has created emotive reaction both for and against it both inside and outside of israel these ready transport ministry justifies it by saying that the move is an attempt to alleviate the distress of palestinian passengers having to travel for long hours in and out of israel but the truth is that behind the scenes there was a lot of noise being made by israeli settlers who refused to travel with palestinian passengers they say because they're afraid now newspaper editorials have had a field day with criticisms that israel is acting in line with apostate that this smacks of racism and it echoes of the segregation policies back in the united states decades ago the palestinian passengers on this bus saved leaves
4:21 pm
a bad taste in their mouths but the irony is that it cuts they travel time as they no longer have to travel through the settlements the ticket is a lot cheaper and the whole travel journey is a lot less stressful seven ages very hard to live with this you can call it a racist action or whatever but see it makes it even more impossible for both sides to understand one another. we're supposed to be working in a civilized country but they're separate ball i feel like israeli people look at as a second class are not equal to the. little bit with that. i feel very bad it is not acceptable at all but in the end of the strong side decides what happens when we have to deal with this reality but the segregation here runs much deeper than just separate bus services we're talking about different legal systems for israelis and palestinians we're talking about different allocation of resources and preferential treatment to name just a few policy r.t. on the way from qalqilya. have you ever wanted to rewind the clock

a bit maybe delete the embarrassing mistakes of your past day we've all been there while the u.s. air force seems to know that feeling too we're not alone as it scrubs drone strikes carried out in afghanistan from the force and websites. the mysterious data disappearance described in full from us online on our website also a click away to it r t dot com russia's chechen republic is funding the construction of a mosque which it claims to be the second largest in israel could be named after the father of the republic's present leader ramzan kadyrov again if you want to read up a bit more it's along with so many of the great stories on our website tonight. you know it's seven years since its inception now and twitter has become an integral part of twenty first century life in that time reflecting everything from people's routine habits to revolutionary political messages for the last two years every single tweet sent to the united states has been stored in a massive archive at the library of congress raising concerns and over privacy the

official reason for it is research purposes but so far that data is being kept behind closed doors as well rick's planes more. it's part of the social media landscape that has revolutionized the way we communicate. twitter allows users to broadcast their thoughts one hundred forty characters at a time. from the very first tweet to declaring historic presidential victories to the downright dumb all of it has been stored at the library of congress what the popularity of smart phones and i pads users can tweet pretty much anywhere at any time and the library of congress is taking note of the way people are communicating and expressing themselves along with journals and other publications social media is being stored as a part of history it began in two thousand and ten when twitter agreed to hand over to the library every tweet since the social media site launched and the tweets keep
4:24 pm
being stored with an estimated half a billion tweets per day it's a massive undertaking basically taking this body of information about the culture of the country and putting it into some kind of storage well we're talking about one hundred fifty. well now that the library has collected this massive archive it's not clear what they're going to do with it how do you search that how do how do you how do you catalog that and split it into searchable pieces of code and they haven't been able to figure that out yet. the libraries blog says quote although the library has been building and stabilizing the archive and has not yet offered researchers access we have nevertheless received approximately four hundred inquiries from researchers all over the world so far the library tells us the goal is for researchers to have access to the database not the general public and we asked are there any limits to what information the library can distribute the

library tells us they've set a few no tweets newer than six months old will be handed over to researchers and the tweets can. be used for commercial purposes and researchers can make a big chunk of tweets available for downloading on their website still questions remain if you delete a tweet does the library still store it and how easily can law enforcement obtain your tweets if people are worried about privacy pretty sure the n.s.a. and homeland security has already cope threw up of that stuff so perhaps the take away as think before you tweet because it's going to be stored right here at the library of congress and washington liz wahl r.t. . most causes of the financial puff again and these latest revelations right here again right after this break.

did any of you seen darth vader and storm troopers trying to make their way into the ukrainian justice ministry as part of a protest well probably a lot of you saw this fun viral video but how many people remember what exactly they wanted and what their protest demands were all about and probably not that many trust me i understand that using wacky protest tactics gets media attention and if you are pushing a cause that media attention is critical but when no one even gets what you want or why you are in that wacky costume it doesn't help there seems to be like almost a protest a culture and language like you see people protesting there so satisfied with themselves in their costumes and silly gimmicks but if your protest is actually aimed at people in power then the how is it going to cure cost of goods with the opinion of heartless bureaucrats sitting in some soulless office again media attention is great but if you want to be taken seriously wearing a rainbow wig and thawing while fighting for your rights doesn't seem to send the

right message but that's just my opinion. i am max kaiser welcome to the kaiser report boy it feels great to be a bit trying millionaire i'm loving it eight months ago and if you recall on this show it on the alex jones shell i said that there would be a major financial catastrophe over the next nine months and we've got it because i . absolutely triumphed. the dollar has crashed ninety percent against a bit coy as bitcoin is set to take on the world and root out the bank's stirrers as we sorely need we sorely need it stacy. yes max we're here in

new york city that skyline right behind us in booming city as all the cities of the world where all the too big to fail banks are home. based because this is where the quantitative easing is flooding in the dow hit an all time high the very same day bitcoin a manipulated pre-wired get a bit coin hit an all time high forty six dollars and i want to turn to this head by max the target value for big coin is not some fifty dollars or one hundred dollars it is one hundred thousand two million bitcoins value is an all time high again its market cap is now twice what it was at the two thousand and eleven peak it is nowhere near its potential recall thing says it which is four orders of magnitude above today's value you know the dow jones is in a new all time low against bitcoin and the paper millionaires in the paper billionaires are really highly suspect because they're part of a manipulated world manipulated fed policy manipulated bond markets they manipulate
4:29 pm
the price of gold and silver but all that money printing that they've done as flowed into the only non-manipulative currency in the world and that is bitcoin bitcoin is the true inflation rate paul krugman bitcoin is the true inflation rate ben bernanke and once again i got to tell you it feels great to be a bit coin millionaire you know it's gone up almost fourteen hundred percent in the last year and i'm loving it because there's an anonymity there's power you're taking a stance against the paper pushers like jamie diamond over j.p. morgan and this is really this is the currency of the resistance so let's look over and back at the dow jones because that did hit an all time high and i will look at charles biederman and his daily video podcast where he talks about this. so that brings us to today's reality where the u.s. economy is in or a session in recession defined as declining after tax income year over year net of inflation and the u.s. .
