a strong little indication that there would be an actual alternative in which case i mean this could really throw egypt up into questionable turmoil for who knows how long. well indeed i mean egypt deep trouble has been going to heat the air of. saying today is that the story is not out to the public which is really. i think the muslim brotherhood's plan to take a look at how in this country what we've seen since they won the election by a very slim motion is that they try to rule in a very dictatorial inflexible without allowing the other people to vote and now that paying the price for that kind of power. they are trying to over the last few months and if we contextualize this with what's happening in the region and do you see the sort of push towards islam as a chef and something that that that that's spreading beyond egypt and in tunisia is

one claire example where do you think this is heading when you look at the situation regionally. region is in a state which flux in the situation is very dynamic. it's it's i mean obviously the war in syria control comes. only now becoming clear that. the next six months are going to be critical sectarian tensions are rising it's very unclear whether the middle east is going i mean at the moment it looks like a few months or years time even some of the countries that we recognize that i'm not going to exist anymore so. it's a very very fluid situation but i think egypt is not subject to outside influence at the moment what we've seen is the egyptian people saying no to interfere in their destiny trying to take back control of the muslim brotherhood unless we want

to have a secular egypt that is not ruled by. we there's no foreign hand in what's happening in egypt today this is simply the egyptian people making it very powerful well although this is of course the egyptian people making a powerful statement as you say i am curious about washington's response to the ongoing protests there of course washington has backed the uprising that has led to the downfall of president hosni mubarak they've called on the protesters to use restraint so far where do you see washington standing on this issue behind the opposition or not so much. i think all washington wants. to look at egypt is to try and. manipulate. the country but i believe his time because washington's agenda security of this trial and they want someone who can deliver that they don't really care whether it's communist or
