ok. russia to send new evidence of chemical weapons used by the syrian rebels the un security council they obtained the information in damascus where russian officials are working out the details of syria's chemical weapons surrender. digital divorce brazil pushes to unplug itself from a u.s. monitored internet seeking its own online sovereignty after america's national security agency was exposed spying on the brazilian government and oil companies. while the number of christian worshipers goes into decline in the u.k. islam seems to be gaining more and more adherents with some saying it could be on the way to becoming britain's dominant religion.
12:01 pm
and i welcome you watching r.t. coming to you live from moscow with me andrey farm. now the u.n. security council will be given new evidence of chemical weapons use by the syrian rebels that was the message from russia's foreign minister while his deputy is in damascus working on a plan to have syria surrender its chemical weapons. is in the syrian capital. russia's foreign minister sergei lavrov said that russia will turn for the average and that aid received from the syrian government according to we each as the syrian government has the the rabble the radical rebels alvey hind the deadly chemical attack here in the syria last month the little girl we have a lot of information about the oldest chemical attack in ghouta will examine all of
12:02 pm
this at the security council along with the u.n. chemical weapons report we still have to figure out who's behind the attack but let me just reiterate that we have a great deal of information to work with so that the russian officials confirmed that they received evidence and now we know that they are ready to transfer it to the u.n. security council and that is a breakthrough in the situation of an interview to see russia's deputy foreign minister sergei that quote who is now here in damascus to discuss the deal on chemical weapons design them and said that the u.n. report is biased for war distorter you for one. conclusion. we are mean we eat for reaching. we produce on that
12:03 pm
basis for what we do we give references which of over the ridge from each and we're sure all questions were in the report what was your. call for remember there will be or will we begin working on what to do we need to figure out what it is for a where and why any group over europe for not growing. year period to continue. for free. for alls. the ras still many questions in this story in this is why moscow is continuing to call for of who you are investigating in order to determine who exactly is responsible for the attack in august and who. was behind that. so do the syrian rebels even have access to chemical weapons well a former pentagon official says they do and showed r.t.
12:04 pm
what he said was a classified u.s. intelligence document detailing how they could have obtained sarin gas michael maloof revealed where this compound was produced and you can see how sarin gas was allegedly manufactured in iraq then taken to turkey before going on to syria for the documents obtained by him also state that sarin was confiscated from different radicals artie's paul scott has more on those clips. in may there were reports coming out from suggesting that a two kilogram cylinder of sarin gas was discovered in the homes of syrian opposition rebels connected with al qaeda through the al nasra front now at the time russia called for an investigation into those reports but. actually denied that the reports were true and said that no such weapons had been found on the list michael maloof explains the bodies indeed a possibility i have. a report from
12:05 pm
a source who has direct connections with. classified information and he basically told me that the u.s. military did an assessment based upon fifty indicators and clandestine interviews that the sourcing siren originated out of iraq into turkey before some of it was confiscated in may in turkey and that there has actually been more significant amount of crn production both in iraq and in turkey going to the going to the opposition principally al-qaeda and we've had separate reports now that. elements are rather significant numbers. and have and now have permeated into the opposition so the ability to be able to. distinguish who gets what and where is going to makes it much more problematic for
12:06 pm
this administration well r.t. contacted the pentagon to bat that document but the defense department said they don't comment on intelligence mattis. risk consultant said as abbe alley is here to discuss the syrian developments he's with us now i thank you very much for coming on to the program this evening now russia has said it will send the new evidence that it has of chemical weapons use by the syrian rebels city u.n. what effect do you think that will have. i don't think that any side is going to be changing their opinions based on evidence. i haven't seen the evidence suggesting that the rebels have got the capability to mix chemicals load them into shells and fire shells in the volume that we've seen in the twenty one august attack i haven't seen or ever suggested that the rebels could do that. and the un report did not assign blame to either side because they were not mandated to do so but i don't
12:07 pm
think that the opinions of either side are being dictated by what the evidence. let's talk about what we do know and the chemical stockpiles that assad has he's got less than a week now to reveal where these are located how difficult is it to him to prove to the west that he is being completely honest. well yeah how do you how do you know that somebody like as that isn't lying it is going to be very difficult to prove that the west and the israelis that they have a pretty good grip on where the chemical weapons munitions have been moved this is the probably more difficult bit the easier bit is identifying the facilities where chemical weapons can be produced and mixed considering that these require a level of industrial investment that can more easily be monitored by the intelligence agencies but i don't think that anybody can seriously track every single chemical munition that exists in syria and prove that as it has revealed all
12:08 pm
of them so if that's the case what's the point. the point is to be seen doing something over the issue of chemical weapons and to highlight the idea that using chemical weapons has a price and this is at the end of the day a pretty good cause in the sense that if everybody thought that they could get away with using weapons of mass destruction with impunity everybody would do it. so the point is to show that there is a pretty high cost for using these weapons and the point is to try to minimize the amount of weapons available even if one cannot entirely eliminate the risk of chemical weapons being used so the humanitarian reasons of course it is a very good point for political reasons also this is very important and how important is it for president obama given that just a week or so ago he was prepared to launch a military attack on syria but now he's watching the process unfold and he's now
12:09 pm
the syria will hand over its chemical weapons so what can he gain from this. look i do genuinely think that president obama one to two get involved in syria i think there's a key point that is being missed here all the time this war is drawing in hezbollah more and more and this war is drawing in these from all over the world more and more. it suits the west and it probably suits russia as well to have as you heard these hezbollah fighting each other in syria as opposed to fighting westerners are fighting elsewhere so there is very little actual interest in bringing about an end to the war a lot of it is about presenting a strong view when it comes to the use of chemical weapons a lot of it is about to say about showing allies showing us allies like turkey and
12:10 pm
the gulf that the u.s. is on their side. but in terms of actual core interests there is very little interest in the for for the u.s. in intervening in the civil war in syria ok thank you we do have to leave it there that strategic risk consultant happy for having me thank you. brazil now wants to go it alone from the global web and create its very own cyber space the decision comes after the n.s.a. spy scandal angered the latin american country even prompting president youssef to perspire on her official meeting with barack obama in the u.s. and as marina port nine now reports brazil is determined to ensure its online security. as the n.s.a. spying scandal continues to undermine america's global standing one u.s. ally is not willing to forgive and forget brazilian president dilma rousseff it has canceled her scheduled visit to the white house next month and pulling out of work
12:11 pm
is supposed to be the first official state visit of u.s. president barack obama's second term it would have also been the first for a brazilian president in nearly two decades in addition to breaking dates for cilia is also taking steps to divorce itself from the u.s. centric internet while seeking its own sovereignty in cyberspace president rousseff has ordered a series of measures aimed at greater brazilian online independence including storing citizens data locally to protect from n.s.a. snooping according to reports the brazilian government is also planning to lay underwater fiber optic cable directly to europe and also link to all south american nations currently most of brazil's global internet traffic passes through the united states now experts say if other nations follow in brazil's footsteps the us cloud computing industry which stores data remotely could lose tens of billions of dollars in business by two thousand and sixteen brazil's path towards internet
12:12 pm
sovereignty follows revelations that the n.s.a. intercepted president rousseff communications hacked into the network of the state owned oil company and spied on brazilians in trusting their personal information to u.s. companies like facebook and google president rousseff says she intends to push for a new international rules on privacy and security in hardware and software next week when all the heads of state gather in new york for the u.n. general assembly on tuesday the brazilian leader is set to open the u.n. g.a. debates and her u.s. counterpart president obama is set to take the stage. immediately afterwards reporting from new york marina r.t. . coming up later in the program america's debt time bomb concern drives in congress over the government's inability to cope spending with national debt reaching double pre-crisis levels the details just ahead.

from the young people. so they feel part of the mosque and religious think tank the pew forum estimates that if present trends continue the muslim population of the u.k. will swell to almost double within twenty years totaling five and a half million according to these figures it means that by twenty thirty britain will have more muslims than kuwait it's projects such as this community based muslim radio station that could provide the clue as to why the religion is flourishing in the u.k. in that deejays who call themselves brothers and sisters talk about local issues in education from the point of view of islam. inspire started out as a special transmission joining the holy month of ramadan it became so popular that it was established as a permanent radio station it's actually a lot of pressure a lot of the movie becomes an islamic ethos that we won't do anything which is deemed a non islamic on their hands the musical and one may question by the five top of
12:17 pm
the of the music that we play on the radio station we want to have your mainstream music playing on every cause so what majority would isn't deemed islamic we would not have ties anything on islam in the sense that we would have a virtual call you want having i did was say for example gambling was one of things according to academics it's the b.d.'s that islam demands from its followers that's made it more appealing to worshippers and converts from other religions islam says no this is no force so. people find no sense of direction in the because their religion over a gene has lost that not because that you didn't have it in. a sort of became believe me and interlace into the laws of the church to think in this way that it would make it to more mellow the son and the track more people into the church. and the fact they've lost something that the church of england disagrees

with the death of christian england has been greatly exaggerated despite a decade of naysaying and complaining by ses commentators and groups six out of ten people in england self identify as christians a figure which tries to more than two thirds when including people identifying with face as a whole and yet there are demographers that say that if current trends continue islam could eclipse christianity as the dominant religion in the u.k. in as little as ten years' time. r.t. . well according to a study by an independent think tank there are at least eighty five shari'a councils operating in britain peter norris a communications manager at the lobby group christian concerned believes a proliferation of sharia law in the u.k. could provoke clashes in the legal sphere. the birth rate amongst muslims this is significantly higher i believe and so those children being brought up going to

mosque and calling themselves muslims and there are many younger muslims that if sharia law was going to be enacted which i believe it is in some parts of the country. that that clashes with british law so british law and in most western democracies there's one law for all but in shari'a there are three fundamental inequalities one of which is between men and women one is between slave and free and the other is between muslim and law muslim so there will be certainly a big clash in in a in the legal sphere and i think most citizens of of britain would agree that one rule for all is a much better principle and a much fairer principle. and you can catch all the stories we are covering and much more of course on our website including racking up discontent the f.b.i. is the beauty of routinely abusing its power and actively misleading congress for more than a decade you can find the whole story at r.t. dot com and it's a very near miss for one strain look at this one. incredible footage war i catch in

the public sector is widely seen as a bloated and inefficient or the scare say that across the board cuts simply aren't the answer because into what some of them have to say in their own words we fight for our lives. for this change then for diff to a church for these things create occasion for free water to air for the right to work which are mainly shoes of democracy. as they are now. the last three years. earlier have all of those are words to say working rights by the older we hold so most democracy and freedom and these foreign troops by two hundred forty billion euros and bailouts this country has seen six consecutive years of recession a shrinking khana me and unemployment is nearing thirty percent two out of three young people can't find work. and at sixty four percent youth unemployment in grief the breeze is the highest on the continent now

please. please the. the. guys i'm abby martin and this is breaking the set so yesterday that america woke up to yet another mass killing spree right here in washington d.c. in the coming days you'll probably hear the same superficial debate playing out across the corporate media the n.r.a. will blame it on anything but guns in the far left will demonize the entire gun holding population but considering how the us has placed itself as the military capital the world cup is no surprise that many americans have chosen to militarize themselves there are eighty nine firearms per hundred people in this country nearly twice as many guns per capita than the next highest gun toting nation for every one hundred thousand people in the us more than three will die of the hand of
12:29 pm
a gun by far the highest rate in industrialized world so what's to blame and so unique problem and one that requires a more thoughtful analysis of how and why these things happen here in america and it begs the question just how many more mass shootings will we have to endure until this debate is fueled by reality and not politics. the such utter a. very hard to the turtle the to the well i never had sex with senator craig there's no. such. luck.
